I got my results last week. Everything was normal. I was very nervous since I’m AMA and I’ve never done this test before. Thankful that it is behind me.
I did this test. I wasnt concerned for any chromosomal abnormalities, but I want to know the gender. I had the lady seal it in an envelope and currently waiting for my husband to get home. I'm hoping for a girl, hes hoping for a boy. I have a girl and a boy already so i guess it doesnt matter. Btw one of them is going to be super excited, and one sorely diasappointed tonight.
Got my results back...we’re having a healthy baby girl!!! Our first is a boy so I’m incredibly excited but DH is disappointed TBH I think he’s just scared of being a girl dad. She’ll have him wrapped around her finger in no time!
I just got my blood draw today! We did the Claritest, I’m going to be on pins and needles until we get the results! DH is being so dramatic about the gender part. He wants a gender reveal party soooo bad and was like “tell the lady that takes your blood that you want the gender to be a secret”.. like they have any real say in it! 😂
I meet qualifications for this test for my insurance to cover it, but I’m worried about how much they’ll cover. Has anyone been told approximate costs? Mine would be the MaterniT 21 plus
I posted about this elsewhere, but my doctors office went through Invitae. I recieved an email and had to choose to let it go through insurance, with an estimate cost of $360, or pay $99 out of pocket. I chose the $99 because i will have a new deductible next year for delivery. So no point building this deductible up. Unfortunately they told me at 4pm (close at 5pm) on a Friday and it said i had to chose by Sunday the 21st. But my blood was drawn Wednesday the 17th, had results on Wednesday the 24th.
@jessieR358 I would check the MaterniT website. Here is their cost estimator. My practice does the Natera one. They (Natera, not my practice) can let me decide to use whatever is cheapest: bill insurance with a risk of OOT cost or cash price.
TTC#1 10/2018: MFI (2 SA under 9 million/ml) 11/2018: HSG shows right Fallopian tube slightly damaged 1/2019: Husband diagnosed with grade 3 varicocele 4/05/2019: varicocele repair surgery 6/13/2019: BFP!!! EDD: 2/22/2020 Baby girl born 2/27/2020 7/18/2019: Total Motile Count at 3 months post surgery = 51 millions!! (number must be >20 millions to conceive naturally).
We called our insurance (hbcbs) and gave them the 1800 number of the lab that processes the Claritest which was genpath and they will cover 100% of test. Without insurance our doctor said we could pay a flat fee of $300 if insurance didn’t cover it. Not sure if that helps anyone!

Well they gave me an estimated OOP price of $598. Um nope!! I’ll wait until 14-15 weeks and pay for a private ultrasound at a place near my house.
Doing the blood draw at my 12 week on August 8th. Age-wise and genetically, I think we're low-risk for some of the scary stuff, but my anxiety-focus has shifted to worrying about outcomes. I always have to be anxious about something! Excited for confirmation on sex, though. SneakPeek said boy, but that's the result that can be a false positive...so I won't really trust it until I hear the NIPT results.

I was supposed to have my results by now but got a note that the lab messed up my blood sample! So I had to go have it redrawn on Friday, and am hoping to hear by the end of the week, but am assuming it will be next week.
Not sure if this goes here because I just got my standard screening done (won’t find out gender). Multiple blood draws because tubes got lost. My insurance really didn’t cover any of the special tests. My OB said I’m young and they just won’t unless I want to pay on the order of several hundred OOP. I’m worried I’m getting the “inferior” test with all my friends getting the fancy tests. I look forward to getting results still but I hope they aren’t “wrong”?
@22ksi2, what test did you get? If it’s a legit test then you don’t have to worry. There are false positives and false negatives with every test, no matter how fancy.
Mine should be in any day! They gave me the option to pay $350 direct or $650 to apply towards my deductible so I took the higher deductible option, thinking that I would burn through the rest of my deductible this year 😬

Everything is low risk and we are having another girl yay not having to buy ANYTHING! It is kind of amazing it says my risk for Trisomy 21 was 1/82 before the test but after the test it is <1/10,000! Being an old mom this makes me so happy.

We just got our results this morning. Everything is low risk on our end. She was able to tell me the gender and I'm like no no! I wish I would've just said lemme know and put an envelope out for my husband LOL.
@brookert615 did you get a copy of the report? You could ask them to send it to you and open it with your husband together! My poor husband. I checked my results online and haven't gotten the call from the provider yet. I said I have the report should I open it? He is like can't we wait until tonight? I'm like nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. So I opened it with him on speakerphone and told him the results. I've now told everyone.

Found out Friday we're having another boy and everything was low risk! This is our last so it feels very final to know I'll never have a daughter, but I'm totally ok w/it and excited to have my 2 boys
@leksiL I wish! I am really tempted to look on the portal because it's killing me now lol. He also made me promise over the weekend if it pops up in the portal that I wasn't allowed to look! But my husband is adamant of having a gender reveal and the soonest we could have because of our family's availability is September 22nd so it's going to be a LONG wait LOL. That is too cute that you had your husband on speaker, I love that!
I got my blood drawn last Monday (7/29) for the informaseq test and am anxiously awaiting the results! I’m assuming the doctor will call with results but I’ve never done this before so not sure. Do you always get an email or online report with results as well? It sounds like yes, from all your posts. I’d like to wait to find out gender when I’m with my husband so hopefully I can access the info online and have the doc not share that via phone!
@nhh11 the nurse told me my results over the phone, but I had called anyway with a question. Not sure if they would have just posted online if I hadn’t. She did ask me on the call if I wanted her to tell me the sex.
@nhh11 The nurse called and let me know the results and that the doctor would talk about them at our upcoming appointment. The results are also on an online portal. But they said to call if we didn't hear anything within 10 business days. Hope that helps!

Just got our results and all is good!!! 😊 we are so relieved. And I was able to 3-way call my husband while on the phone with the doctor so he could reveal the gender to us together. We are having a baby boy! It was such a special moment and of course my hubby is happy it’s a boy lol 😊
We got the panorama back and it’s all low risk, including microdeletions. We are having a boy! Now to convince my husband that Rex is not what we are going to name him.
@DDRRT1982 Lurking from March but I had to chime in! My DH wanted to name our son Rex as well and that was a huge NO for me haha! I FINALLY compromised and it's his middle name, Ellis Rex... so that isn't awful haha. May God be with you as you work to sway him!
@DDRRT1982 I told my husband and kids i kinda like Max. That would make my kids Lucy, Mickie, and Max. Has a good ring to it. He said only if the middle name is Power. Good luck with Rex lol
