Well, if I didn’t contaminate my blood sample horribly when I dropped it, and the test is actually correct.....
I would be absolutely delighted to have a second boy! I’m just skeptical of the results since I did contaminate. So I guess I’ll confirm this in about 10 weeks 🤷🏼♀️
Riding the 1st tri struggle buss today. Nauseous, tired, tummy troubles. Good thing it’s Sunday! We close on our new house tomorrow, so I hope I can rally for our move later this week.
@daffodil_shoe I'm an easy sell for this kind of thing! Just ordered the standard one!
Unrelatedly, I've had this cold/sinus infection for exactly a month now. I have really, really been trying to avoid meds. Took some Robitussin in the second week at my doctor's suggestion, but I didn't take many doses of it. Today I just kind of had enough and I just took a Tylenol and some Flonase (also doctor sanctioned). I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER! Praying that this doesn't have any kind of impact on the baby, but I desperately needed this relief

@babylawyer I did standard as well, but I’m a sucker for sales so I bought mine on Fathers Day for only $59! No way would I pay $149. At that rate, you may as well just do the reliable NPT at your doctor at 11 weeks.
I cloth diapered my daughter and loved it. She’s been potty trained for 2 years now. My cloth diapers have been stored away. I never thought I’d get to use them again because I was certain I’d never get pregnant. I brought them out of storage today, and I’m so excited. 😂
Randomly decided to bring out the Doppler today since 10 weeks is when we could possibly find a heartbeat. Found nothing the first try, but moved around and had dinner and tried again- definitely heard baby at home! My HR is 65 and baby was at 168 🖤
Anyone else pro-doppler and get anything yet? I know it makes a lot of people upset that sometimes you can’t find it.
@therealbitts it’s an organized moms club “MOMS Club of {Town Name} I think it’s A national or international club. I’ve considered non-renewing because as a working mom I can’t go to 99% of the events and they were super inclusive at first but then once they figured out I couldn’t make much effort many of them ignore me. I have made meals for lots of the meal trains when new babies are born though and feel like I would love to be on the receiving end for once so maybe I will try one more year

@robynlynn2000 I got a lot of crap for volunteering at a golf tournament at 5 months - I was driving a golf cart around holes delivering cases of water. I was so annoyed like I’m pregnant not disabled!

@babyroma I feel for you - that's tough. As we've gotten older and had a baby (DD is 2) a lot of friendships have come to light for what they really are. It's sad and frustrating at times, but along with that comes a ton of new, meaningful friendships! I would still tell her your news. Deep down she will be happy for you. Remind her that you're still keeping her in your thoughts. (A friend of mine has been TTC for about 10 years also, and she is now 6 months preg! Tell her that story. May perk her up) As for not being excited to tell someone... I'm apprehensive about telling my MIL. I love her dearly, but we just lost my FIL tragically & unexpectedly a few months ago, & I feel she will take this joyous news & turn it sour. There's been a lot of, "Oh you're going to Italy? I'll never travel again..." etc. She's been deeply depressed and relying solely on my husband (he's the youngest of 5) as if he's the surrogate husband. I'm trying to be patient but I'm just holding my breath and hoping she will be happy & not melancholy. I worry it will dampen my husband's heart. 🙄
