@Happyin14 I actually didn’t pick it. My friend whose shower I’m going for is going with her fam and was nice enough to invite me. I actually didn’t have a lot of interest in seeing it, especially cuz I’m not sure my hormonal self can handle sad, but I guess we’ll see
I’ve been MIA because work is crazy. It’s been nonstop and I’m counting down the days until I can start maternity leave. Although literally my first day of maternity leave, I have to go to a rehearsal....
Asking for all the good vibes. I have two exams at 2pm EST today and I've only really had time to study for the first one. Downing a red bull (bad preg lady) to keep myself awake til 5pm. Then I'm just crashing.
@ccmama3 the class was really good. I got a lot out of it. It was also nice to spend more time at the hospital to feel more comfortable there. We also got to use a lot of different tools that they have or that the teacher recommends and learn even more about what all is offered at the hospital. And what I should bring with me. I was ahead of everyone’s in class by a month. They are all due in the next 6 weeks! Made me anxious.
My two littles destroyed the living room today. Legos and toys everywhere. 4yr old starts a tantrum saying "it's too much. It's too hard." Que me saying it's not too hard you just have to start and actually do it.
About an hour later, I add another 5 things to my ever growing to do list and start thinking to myself how I'm never going to get it done. Then think what I just told my kids...
Wife. Boy mom x6. Expecting #7. Wannabe homesteader. , 💙💙💙💙💙💙
PSA on the rock and play... I was able to return mine that was nearly three years old to target! I didn't have a receipt or box or anything, the used my ID and I got $68 in store credit (I think we paid $80 for it). Just thought I'd share because it was way easier than the hassle of sending it back to fisher price, plus I'd rather have target store credit than fisher price anyway!
@Happyin14 I passed one and failed the second by four questions. Frustrated because some of the theories they asked about are not in the materials they tell you to study for the cert. I'll try to take it again in two or three weeks.
My belly feels like a ping pong machine tonight. That is all lol. Oh, and trying to convince myself not to eat any desserts since I have to go do my glucose test in the morning
Also, I've seen Endgame and they just released a new Spider Man trailer with Endgame spoilers. It looks so amazing... and comes out July 2nd. I told DH that he needs to get tickets anyway, and the baby better not come early, and if I go into labor, I'll just hold in him til the credits.
@foodislove I mean...at least she's not in heals with the baby right now. Congrats to them.
I do have to say though--after the rough night i had last night, i'm jealous. I know this LO needs to keep cooking, I learned (or was reminded) that I just pushed myself too hard over the weekend. I had the worst back pain last night. I couldn't get comfortable anywhere i tried. Finally ended up running from the couch to the bathroom and puking at 4--that seemed to the do the trick so i was able to get 2 hours of sleep before my alarm went off at 6:30. I'm afraid to admit that 2nd trimester might be my best. Hopefully i learn from this weekend and can be more mindful in the future.
On a positive note: MH is amazing, our whole downstairs is finished including wall art hung. He also installed our new bedside side lamps and are got started organizing the baby clothes! We also purchased a recliner, i appreciate MH for making sure it rocked. He didn't love the idea of a glider/rocker, but we were able to find one that didn't swivel, was still fairly sleek for the style he wanted and was leather. I think he'll appreciate it when he doesn't want to go upstairs to rock LO (upstair is an old classic rocker from my grand parents, it works but it's not as comfy as a new recliner). Finally i'm starting to feel like we are making progress on cleaning up the house!
Re: Randoms w/o 4/29
I saw an early workshop of it and can’t get past some early plot points.
@greeneyedgirl12 Love the nails!
