@jenniferjoy37 the matching shirts idea is cute! I'll have to keep that in mind as an option. I thought of two other ideas... a baby stella fella (lol boy stella) for DS2 (we already have one but I think they might fight over it when baby comes) and a play wooden camera for DS1 because he likes to copy me and "take pictures". Those are my top ideas for now! @nolemomma14 I did a ton of cleaning yesterday and it already looks like a bomb went off today lol!!!
@pizzaplz I made it! I was super-fidgety and moved because LO was horrifically poorly positioned and generally making me uncomfortable the whole time, but I stayed in my seat.
@greeneyedgirl12 oh man! LO was behaving for once and didn’t use my bladder as a trampoline! I made it without having to pee, didn’t even have to go that bad after!
@pizzaplz I have heard of the app, my brother told me about it. Hopefully you made it through!
I wont post spoilers but damn pregnancy hormones got me.
This is possibly the sweetest thing ever. Hubby fell asleep cuddling me tonight while rubbing the belly. Every few moments he stirs just a little and rubs the belly some more.
@jennm0724 I didn't pee! I just writhed and wriggled the whole damn time because my abdomen and hips hurt. I couldn't even pee right after, because I went straight to an OB appointment and they were going to ask for a sample. Glad I managed to hold it that long, probably one of the last times I'll be able to go that long .
ETA, but unrelated: My ticker is supposed to be cravings. Who TF craves a gallon of milk?!?!?!
@greeneyedgirl12 DH's cousin craved whole milk at the end of her pregnancy. She told me she gained a ton of weight because she couldn't stop drinking it!
Got my Tdap booster in my left arm yesterday and it was too sore to sleep on that side, so I slept like a rock on my right side...and now that arm hurts too.
@greeneyedgirl12 I LOVE MILK! I craved it before I wasn't pregnant and continue to crave it. I'm 100% skim and sometimes I get a thirst that nothing but milk will quench. Mmmm...
@Cbeanz, sorry for the potential of making you vomit, but I must shout my love of milk from the rooftops! Hahahaha!
ETA: #teammilk because it made me LOL in a restaurant while sitting alone.
@mamabear19 yogurt and cheese don't bother me one bit. Ice cream is borderline. I don't eat ice cream myself but it doesn't gross me out like the beverage, maybe bc it's a smaller portion.
I used to love milk, but milk does not love me. Yogurt is usually fine for me because the bacteria eat the lactose. Yay! And then cheese, I just suffer through it. Ice cream I suffer through as well, but I try to get dairy free options whenever I can. There is this gelato place near us that makes dairy-free chocolate gelato that is basically just like the best fondente ever!
@indulgentgypsy and @nopegoat I was raised in a rural area, but never developed a taste for farm fresh milk. I ate a ton of cereal as a kid and always drank the milk after. I also used to visit my cousin for a week in the summer, but dreaded it because they'd feed me cereal because I liked it. The problem was they drank goat's milk. I don't remember the taste, but remember it was SO GROSS!
@indulgentgypsy my girls go through 4 gallons of milk each week at home, not counting all the milk they drink at school. So we could use a cow 🐄 here as well!
@jenniferjoy37 it is called Gelato Boy. It is a few shops away from pasta Jays on pearl in boulder.
It used to be called Fior di Latte, but they changed the shop name a few weeks back.
All the ingredients are real. Like the mint ice cream tastes like a mint plant. It’s weird but good and nothing isn’t is overly sweet.
And two more babies early this morning! Two girls! The brown one looks just like daddy. The black one is nearly identical to momma, including wattles and the white spot on her foot, only missing the white mark on her belly.
We have one maybe two more girls due pretty soon and on more due in a few months!
Wife. Boy mom x6. Expecting #7. Wannabe homesteader. , 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Took a few days off to study for an certification exam tomorrow for work, but I'm feeling so awful from yesterday still (glucose test, I think I passed?) that I'm finding it super hard to concentrate. Nothing I am eating settles well and I'm so overheated. I really need to pass this though, and get it out of the way so all I have left is my written exam for the certification so I can justify demanding a raise in January.
At least the weather is just gorgeous right now. Our landscaping people came yesterday to trim and put down fresh mulch and our lawn looks respectable again (our neighborhood is very much keeping up with the Jones', ugh).
@nopegoat love those cute pics and so jelly of your goats!
So we don't have a symptoms thread going at the moment... Tuesday night I had intense painful sinus pressure behind my right eye with no stuffiness or mucus. Still painful yesterday so when I called the Dr's office my nurse midwife made me go to the school nurse to check my blood pressure. 148/72 and then 136/62. Because the bottom number was still in a good range we decided I did not need to come in and LO has been moving and grooving. I have been so so so so so dizzy since then. My eye and pressure is better today, but I am still dizzy and exhausted.
So... has anyone had preeclampsia with previous pregnancies (damn you Dr. Google) and are these possible precursors to it? I have a regular appointment today and will be asking my Dr. and Midwife obviously, I'm just nervous I guess.
@indulgentgypsy I had PE with my daughter, but both my numbers were high. I did a 48 hr urine test and I had elevated proteins. They called and asked if I wanted to have DD that night or the next morning. Sooo scary at 37+2. Have they checked for hyperglycemia or anemia? The dizziness I can say it most likely related to that bottom number being a little low. Just keep hydrated and maybe sugared up a little.
@hakele I think I may need a gelato/Boulder run today. I went to school at CU, but I bet it wasn’t there when I was.
@jenniferjoy37 yeah, that bottom number is always low. Not pregnant my blood pressure is around 107/62-70. I'm fat but ridiculously healthy otherwise. Never been checked for hyperglycemia. Trying to stay hydrated today and munching away on jelly beans
@jenniferjoy37 It is hipster new... I think the Fior di Latte was put in about 5 years ago? We go to Boulder often, it is why we wanted to live along US36.
I have to host a conference call in about 10 minutes. It is a Q+A Session where people get to ask me process questions. It is busy season right now, so we don't usually have a very good turn out, and the couple of key issues I've had in the last few weeks are unrelated to process on my team, but on my counterpart's team in the Sales department. So, fingers are crossed that it will be nice and short. Because I want to go take a nap... haha.
We have our "Labor Lab" class tonight at the hospital. It says we get to go into the labor rooms and try out different positions on the beds and equipment and stuff. So that should be interesting. It is a skills lab for mamas who want to go natural. Hopefully, I get something out of it.
@hakele that class sounds pretty cool!! Hope it's helpful for you! One of my childhood best friends lives in a Boulder suburb... I've only been to visit her once but you are making me want to visit her! She's also pregnant with her first!
I felt really productive today! Both girls were up early, so we ate breakfast, I finished deep cleaning the upstairs, AND got a shower all by 10am! Then we went to the library and (on a whim) grabbed some lunch at the Burger King drive thru ( not my first choice, but the only one this little town has) and went to the park. Both girls are taking naps now, so I'm enjoying some well deserved downtime 😊
Today was a good day. Had an MFM appointment, and my placenta moved. A lot. Which means I am off pelvic rest for the first time in ~10 weeks AND I no longer have to have a scheduled C-section early-ish (37w). Only thing that wasn't great was LO had his/her head WAY down almost at my cervix and had 0.0 interest in moving so the MFM doc had to push HARD to get it to move while the sonographer tried to get a good angle transvaginally. NOT comfortable at all. In a weird way that was not the worst thing either, though, because it reminded me it takes a lot to actually hurt/get to/affect the baby from the outside, so when my dog accidentally gets me in the stomach/abs and when my dumb a** doesn't give myself enough room through the baby gate we have up to keep the dogs out of a certain area, baby is 100% fine.
Also got my nails done for my shower on Saturday. This is what you get when you're team green, but you hate/look awful in baby pink:
Re: Randoms w/o 4/29
I'm likely seeing it this weekend and will definitely be using their suggestions. Good luck and enjoy!!
@nolemomma14 I did a ton of cleaning yesterday and it already looks like a bomb went off today lol!!!
I have ultra strength 1000 Tums. The back says:
do not take more than 7 in 24 hours
if pregnant do not take more than 5 in 24 hours.
@pizzaplz I have heard of the app, my brother told me about it. Hopefully you made it through!

IT'S SO GOOD!!! We don't usually keep cow's milk at home, so I keep buying a half a gallon and then it's gone in like two days!!
@hestia14 I was suppose to get mine last week but I pushed it off until next week.
@Cbeanz, sorry for the potential of making you vomit, but I must shout my love of milk from the rooftops! Hahahaha!

@greeneyedgirl12 Ooo I love your nails! And that's fantastic news about being off pelvic rest!
I'm leaning towards pink and purple, probably the berry blast and lusty lavender, what do y'all think?
@greeneyedgirl12 Yay for being off bed rest! Have tons of fun this weekend!
