I'm gonna go with pregnancy brain over here. It is real and it is here with a vengeance. A couple examples... I called DH into the bathroom upset that my shower was cold. I was convinced that the water heater was out. Nope. I just had it on the cold water side. And on Friday I drove to my old job. I only realized it when I didn't have a badge to get into the parking garage. There are many other little examples too.
@lillywonderland mine is too! It feels like I bruised it somehow! Not a very pleasant symptom.
I have been ravenous in the mornings! Like if I don't get food in me 30-45 min after waking up, I'm gonna get really grouchy. I think I remember the same thing happening in my 2nd trimesters last time as well.
@themadcamel I've def been having round ligament pain. for me it's most noticeable when I stand up quickly after sitting for too long. Though just this weekend I had to pick up my sleeping 4 year old from the couch and take him upstairs to bed and I totally pulled something outta whack down there too. not sure if it was also round ligament or just generally destroying my body lol
My boss is on vacation, so I'm doing very little actual work today. The last 45 minutes were spent on IG, laughing at stuff. Thought this would be appropriate for the symptoms thread, in case anyone thought they were going to get away with it
My hips have been killing me for weeks now!!! I think I have bad hips to begin with. Before getting KU they would get sore from hours of cleaning the house or from walking around all day. Now, I clean the house for 30 minutes and my hips are killing me. I walk 5 blocks and they are on fire. I know this is the hormones loosening everything up but I didn't think it would start this soon!

I'm still so tired. But I am over the moon that my nausea seems to be going away! THANK GOD. Now I am just hungry all the time and have finally started craving veggies which is a welcome change lol.

@LJMoon6 that sounds awful. So sorry you’re in that kind of pain. I’ve been having pretty bad lower back/sciatic pain since like week 6. I have mild scoliosis at the base of my spine. I went to chiropractor today and she told me the left side of my pelvis is sitting over 2 inches higher than the right. I’m going to have to go in pretty regularly for adjustments, but she said it will provide some relief. Maybe that’s something you could look into?
@themadcamel I have pretty bad scoliosis (diagnosed and braced when I was 5). I think that could definitely be the cause or adding to it for sure. I've always been too afraid to go to a chiropractor tho. With my other condition I've had surgery to remove 2 vertebrae in my neck, so I don't feel comfortable messing around with my back.

@LJMoon6 yikes, I completely understand how you wouldn’t want to mess around back there! I only worked up the courage to go last year because everyone at my school swears by this doctor and she uses an activator (handheld thing) instead of her hands.
I am finally feeling awake enough to stay up past 7:30! Although hip pain and staying asleep are starting up. Nothing major yet but I worry as it’s so early!!

I can finally stay away past DS's bedtime! The trade off is peeing like a pregnant woman. I finally understand that figure of speech. Did the wind blow on my bladder? Better go pee a gallon. Has it been 10 minutes since I last peed? Go pee a gallon. Did I sneeze? Go pee the rest of that gallon. And I'm drinking significantly less than I did before. I honestly thought that saying was a lie.
@bubsalicious I’m right there with ya! I didn’t drink anything after leaving work at 5 yesterday, woke up 3 times to pee through the night! I could have sworn this was more of a 3rd tri thing with DS!
@janat1717 I worked with a woman who told me her feet grew half a size each pregnancy. Mine didn't grow last time either (swell a bit, yes, but not permanently change). We'll see about this time.
@janat1717 my feet went up a whole size by third tri with #1 and have stayed 1/2 a size up from where I was prebaby I really hope they don't do the same thing this time around!
@cammie0526 and @calliah , not sure what you're doing for heartburn but I was using tums and they became epically ineffective. My doctor told me to get Gaviscon today... I'll let y'all know how it goes because this heartburn is HORRIFIC!!!! She also suggested going the Maalox liquid route if the Gaviscon tablets don't end up helping, as sometimes the coating liquid can be more effective, apparently. Let's hope this horror ends soon!!!
@sunshine2417 Right now I’m using Tums (well, off brand) and they’re working ok. I was basically eating them like candy last time. I start taking Zantac 150 (I believe) daily and that mostly worked though I still needed the occasional Tums. It’s seriously the worst! I never get heartburn when not pregnant.
Anyone else getting horrific charlie horses in the middle of the night? Its happened multiple times, and it is so painful and wakes me up in the worst way! I had drank a Gatorade right before bed too so I don't know what gives?!
@MsBeachNJ Bananas help. Also Natural calm, its a magnesium supplement. Hope they go away for you. I haven't experienced them yet this pregnancy but remember them from previous.
At what point should I be concerned about my headaches? I've been waking up with horrible headaches for the past 2 weeks now (I would say migraines by how intense they are but they dissipate within a few hours after taking tylenol so not a true migraine). I use to get headaches daily but usually later in the day from tension in my back/neck from my medical conditions. I know headaches are common in pregnancy but how frequently and how intense are your guys?

@LJMoon6 I could have written that post! I feel like I take Tylenol like candy for these headaches. 😭 I had bad migraines before pregnancy but would only get one a month or so. Now I get them sooo often! It’s awful. I’m going to ask my OB about them at my next appointment. The Tylenol does nothing. I have one of those water bottle things that I fill with hot water and rest on my head that helps a bit.
Re: April Symptoms Thread
Crotch is very sensitive right now - I believe it’s because of the extra blood in my system. Pants and undies are tough to put on. LOL.
@lillywonderland mine is too! It feels like I bruised it somehow! Not a very pleasant symptom.
I think I'm starting to experience round ligament pain. It usually happens when I sneeze or blow my nose.
And today I am rocking the bitchy. I don't even like myself and DH already asked if he could have his head back yet.
