It’s been a really hard working parent week. DD was scheduled to get a front tooth removed on Tuesday. We get there and DH had to go back because I couldn’t since I’m pregnant, but he forgot his ID and couldn’t go back there. I caused a scene at the dentist with lots of tears. Waste of 4 hours PTO and had to reschedule for the next day. Had to take more time off on Wednesday, and she had her little tooth taken out. She did so well, but the first thing she said when she saw it in the mirror was “I wish my tooth was still there”.
She was up from 12-3 that night because “I can’t sleep without my tooth”. She also keeps randomly getting a fever of 102. Thursday she was constipated at school. Brought her to school today and I called later and they said she was still staying her stomach hurts. Called the doctor because I was nervous about a UTI. Had to leave work early to take her. Pick her up from daycare and she has a full-blown cold. She also told me “my adult tooth hasn’t come in yet. When will it come in?”. I think she’s having a harder time with the tooth than she’s letting on and it’s breaking my heart.
Cut to me at my end and just bawling on the couch.

People think we become mothers when we give birth but the truth is we become mothers the moment we start calling our babies to us in our thoughts, dreams and prayers. Some paths are short and some are so long that you can easily forget where you were headed.

I am not sure if this is the best place to post - I will look at other spots too, but I am crying from pain... I was blessed to get through the first trimester without morning sickness, but enter the 2nd trimester and I now have PUPP. Anyone else experience this? It itches so bad!
Today is DS#1's third birthday according to the Jewish calendar (secular is Saturday). Right after bedtime I just broke down. Not sure if they were happy tears, or sad tears. Probably a bit of both.
The tears started flowing this week. First it was because I forgot my gym bag and couldn't go to the prenatal fitness class. Today it was because my DH ate the last of the bread I like and I wanted a sandwich for lunch. It has been a fun week.

DH's grandmother is in the hospital for the third (fourth?) time since December. I have been really bad at visiting her since the last time she was released to an old age home. The hospital is only 5 minutes from my office, and I feel like I should visit her, but I'm not sure I have the emotional or physical strength for it. And I feel guilty for making it about me when SHE'S in the hospital.
@mrosek91 that's understandable. DH's grandmother has really bad dementia and doesn't remember him. She still lives at home with his grandpa. But it's still hard. We still try to visit. But it can be emotionally draining if we go over too often
