Just left my appt. Cycle will probably be canceled. My lining hasn't budged past 6.5 which is what it was last Tuesday. I've never had this issue, so I am a little shocked. My doctor discussed converting to a mock transfer and doing ERA testing instead. Has anyone done ERA testing? He also discussed doing another egg retrival and doing a fresh/frozen combo transfer. My heart hurts. Emotionally and mentally I am shot. No one ever prepares you for the toll IVF takes on your mental stability.
@aconklin214 oh girl I'm so sorry. That is so disheartening. Was anything different about this protocol compared to your last? I sure hope your lining grows more and you don't have to cancel.
Thanks for all the well wishes, it was hard to believe this day finally came! All went well, they said our little embie thawed out beautifully and the transfer looked great. Now just headed home for some R&R and nine days of waiting...
@aconklin214 so sorry to hear you might have to cancel. You are right, this process can be frustrating and really test your patience. Hoping something turns around for you in the next few days.
@wifeinraleigh28 you are up tomorrow, how are you feeling? All the best of luck!
Has anyone ovulated in a FET cycle? I have a ultrasound/blood work appt in the AM so I'll ask and find out then but I feel like I'm ovulating tonight. This is my first FET so I'm not sure if that's normal or no?
@aconklin214 I'm sorry for your setback. It seems like the IVF process always throws us some curveballs when we least expect them. Hang in there girl! I hope you can still proceed with a transfer soon!
@wifeinraleigh28 good luck today and fingers are tightly crossed for a sticky one for you!
I just came back from my appointment and was told I'm nowhere close to ovulation and my FET is still in limbo. I go back on Tuesday to check again. If there's still no progress by the end of the week (I finished letrozole this week)...then we'll discuss switching to a medicated protocol for the FET. So I wait again...

I had my blood work and ultrasound appt this morning, she said I didn't ovulate (yay), my E2 levels looked good (around 550) and my uterus showed "the pattern" buuuut my lining was only 6.6 so the doctor decided to push the transfer back by a week to give it more time to thicken (they like to see atleast a 7).
Edited to add: FET scheduled for 04/18, transfer of one 4AB embryo, Beta scheduled for 04/29
Hey Ladies! I'm just wondering if anyone else is having a rough time with this FET process. I'm finding it more emotional than the stimming, i think bc i was able to get regular updates when stimming and this just feels like a lot of needles and meds and i'm finding it exhausting. I feel kind of disconnected from my body a little - and i don't know if it's just bc i'm having a rough time, or if this is something others have felt.
I know we all deal with this process differently, but just looking to see if anyone has felt similar.
I am going in for my first lining check next wednesday so maybe seeing some progress will change my attitude, but right now i just feel like a pin cushion!
Transfer went as well as could be expected this morning! The only glitch was the fact that my bladder was actually too full (even though I didn't even finish my 24 oz hydro flask) so the nurse made me get up so I could pee for 5 seconds, then we resumed. I'm definitely not sure how that happened! But anyway, our little embaby is hopefully getting nice and cozy in there. Of course they told me to rest as much as possible today and tomorrow, and of course my toddler has been jumping all over me and making that very difficult to do!
@Tulips29 Ugh I'm sorry you're back in limbo. I hope you ovulate soon. I know that this stuff can just randomly progress really quickly so I know there is still hope for you!
@dreamingofbabyb I totally get it. The monitoring for an FET seems a lot less informative. Even after the actual transfer it's kind of like "okay... that's it? I guess we'll see what happens..."

@Tulips29 We transferred the next best one but since we did PGS we know the sex of all our embryos. This one is male I asked Elle yesterday before our transfer if she wanted a baby brother and she very quickly said, "No!" Anyway, no matter when your transfer is, I have everything crossed for you! Still hopeful though that you'll see progress very soon!
@aconklin214 sorry to hear this cycle is out. If you are feeling like you need a break I would definitely take one. The cycle itself can be stressful enough, we need to take care of ourselves too
Im new to posting on here, but have been lurking for a bit (years). This has been my first round of IVF. I have my retrieval on 4/2, and they are doing a transfer tomorrow 4/7. I was very close to having OHSS and so now Im all worried that a pregnancy might make me go into OHSS.
@dreamingofbabyb I’ve gotta say- I feel the complete opposite! I was an emotional mess going through my first full round of ivf in January. I was so scared they wouldn’t get enough eggs, and that I would mess up one of the steps in giving myself the meds. This ‘natural cycle’ FET I keep forgetting that I’ve got a transfer soon! I found out the cause of my infertility and that I can get pregnant as a result of my first cycle. So I think that knowledge plus the fact that I don’t have to do much this cycle made it less nerve wracking so far? you are so right. It’s so different for everyone. I hope going through it with us helps!
@ellis1983 congrats on your transfer!! Fx for twins!
Hi All, im 5 days post transfer and experiencing spotting today. Last transfer this did not happen. Any insight? I’ve been calm all week but now I’m worried.
@ellis1983 “implantation bleed”? I had light pink spotting 6 days after transfer and had a good first beta last transfer.. could be like hormones changing from all the meds or something? Are you waiting it out for beta or testing early?
The last few days since our transfer have been stressful and not relaxing at all. My toddler has been the most difficult she has ever been, fighting us on everything, and lots of tantrums. Even though DH has been doing a lot of the work, I still haven't been able to relax much. She definitely knows something is up with me and it's affecting her big time. I'm hoping that this transfer could still work despite all the stress!
@somewhereinnyc yeah I was reading it could be that. Not sure what else it could be as I most likely won’t even get my period until I come off progesterone so shouldn’t be period spotting. I only noticed it early this afternoon and haven’t since. My plan is to wait for beta which is Wed.
@wifeinraleigh28 hang in there! Thanks for the chart, I’ll check it out!
@wifeinraleigh28 thank you! I'm sorry that your little one has been a handful these past few days. Kids are intuitive, so perhaps she's feeling something is going on? I hope she gives you an easier time and you're able to take it easy until your beta!
@somewhereinnyc not yet. Going back tomorrow to see if there's any progress. I'm still hopeful, but also understand that I can't do anything at this point but wait and hope for the best.
@ellis1983 i hope it's implantation bleeding! Your beta is coming up so soon!

@isthisthereallife I took Medrol and the one thing my nurse said was if you mess up anything do not mess up the timing of starting progesterone. I think the Medrol is supposed to just help with inflammation, so thinking you are OK, hopefully they can confirm.
Hi ladies. Has anyone done acupuncture pre and/or post transfer? I keep reading about and the supposed benefits it can have on fertility treatments, but and my insurance doesn't cover it, so I'm wondering if it helps with anything and if it's worth trying it out.

@Tulips29 people seem to have mixed feelings about acupuncture, but I love it. I've been going to someone since a few months after my first D&C, it helped my cycles regulate and with stress. I didn't use the one offered by my RE pre/post since I already have someone I'm working with, but at a minimum I would think pre/post transfer could be helpful to be calming if you've never done it.
@mackorori that's great that you love it. I keep reading that it helps some get to that BFP, so I'm wondering if that's actually true. I'd love to get any help I can get!

@wifeinraleigh28 I hope you have some relaxing days ahead and a BFP of course! @ellis1983 Wishing you luck on Wed for your beta! How did you keep from testing?!
I have my FET lining/bloodwork appointment tomorrow. I'm guessing I'll have to go up there again before my transfer next Wednesday. It's hard not knowing next steps.
@ellis1983 I always wait for beta too. My feeling is that I would rather not know a thing until I can just know the result for sure. This process is already stressful enough without additional mind games! Not much longer for you to wait now! FX
@Tulips29 How did your appointment go today? I've been thinking about you and hoping so hard for progress! As for acupuncture, I don't know that there's any actual science behind it, but if you find it to be relaxing that could certainly be beneficial. We all have to do what works for us in taking care of our bodies!
@Isthisthereallife Glad to hear all is progressing well for you! The PIO hurt me a lot too the first few days, but now I feel totally fine. It surprised me how much pain I had initially, because I didn't remember any pain from a few years ago. But I think I must have just gotten used to it and forgotten, because I think my body is used to it now. Hopefully that will be the case for you too!
@Isthisthereallife I know! Only two more days. I work a lot so that helps to keep me distracted. Had a little more spotting this afternoon. Trying to be positive but def worried.
@crookshanks10 I don’t test just in case it’s too early. That would crush me and I’d still have to do the blood test and wouldn’t have any hope even though urine may not detect this early. Good luck at your appt!
@wifeinraleigh28 yup agreed! This wait it brutal but staying the course.

@ellis1983 Wishing you luck on Wed for your beta! How did you keep from testing?!
I have my FET lining/bloodwork appointment tomorrow. I'm guessing I'll have to go up there again before my transfer next Wednesday. It's hard not knowing next steps.
@italianmommy8 How did everything go today?
@crookshanks10 FX for a thick lining tomorrow!
Me: 34, DH: 38 ~ TTC since 2014
IUI #1-3 (Nov 2015, Feb 2016, May 2016) = BFNs
IVF ER (July 2016) = 7 PGS normal embryos
FET #1 (Sept 2016) = BFP! DD born 5/30/17
FET #2 (April 2019) = BFN
FET #3 (July 2019) = BFP! DS born 3/27/20
Sticky vibes to everyone!!
