@holly321 I hear you, I am thisclose to wanting to adopt a puppy, but there's no way that could work with my dog.  They would destroy the house. So I say adopt the puppy (lab mixes are the best!) So I can live vicariously through you.

I have a cousin getting married in June & my dad is REALLY stressing me out asking when will we be there & how many nights are we staying where & is like "now's the time" to book stuff & I'm like it's March. Over xmas break, we'd all talked about maybe staying a week since the wedding is down the shore, but DH & I *cannot* afford that, so dad was kind of annoyed that didn't work out. I am thinking I'll just book one night, the night of the actual wedding, so I can at least say I did that. Anyway, my Dad does this bc he knows he can get to me but at the same time I know he means well, which I know is a bit contradictory. I just don't need this stress right now.

Why is it so hard for some people to figure out the rules?  Literally hundreds of people can follow them but for a special few it's too difficult.  I will never understand this!  I hope I wasn't too mean with the latest pee stick but enough is enough and I couldn't stay quiet anymore.

Y’all I’m pathetic. Currently sobbing over a squirrel that was dying in the road on the way back from the walk DH and I took tonight. I ended up scooping it up in an old towel and putting him in someone’s yard. DH is literally loling at how emotional I am over this damn squirrel. I always wanted to be a vet but am constantly reminded why it’s a good thing I’m not 😬

Soooo good news/bad news. The bad news is our Montreal trip is still being postponed. Probably until summer. The good news is it's because we're now using MH's long weekend in April to pick up our new puppy that we'll be picking out in 1.5 weeks! I'm so excited and also feeling slightly out of my mind and like I might be trying to fill a baby shaped hole with a puppy... but whatever. I miss having a pup around. 3 Week old sleepy puppy photo to cheer everyone up after the two flyby posts today. ❤️

@b_1029 Goldendoodle! We're getting a girl and we pick her out in 2.5 weeks (not 1.5 like I mistakenly said before) then take her home in 4.5 weeks! I'm super excited!

@b_1029 you're the cutest bleeding heart I ever did know. I also took in a dying baby squirrel that I found in the parking lot a few years ago. It was infested with fleas and so sad looking. Drove it an hour out of the city to a rescue that would take him, paid $100 to leave him there, and he didn't last the night. Poor lil fella.

@inthewoods23 I have "back-up" clothes at school in my office desk lol in case something rips in a place that would make it not okay for me to stand in front of college students and teach, but I recommend back-up clothes for anyone.

@inthewoods23 I had something similar happen the other day.  I put on a brand new dress and went to an appointment only to find a small hole in it.  Smart move having back up clothes!

@b_1029 thank you for making me feel better about what I said.  I'm coming to terms with my bitterness.  MH has squirrels at his firehouse that they all feed and one of them got hit by a car so they had a memorial for it.  The guys are actually kinda cute because they always make sure they have good food for the squirrels and plenty of water for them.

On the topic of March Madness... I was checking the rankings for the bracket I have at work and you can see who everyone picked as the champion as well as the combined score for the tiebreaker.

I don't watch basketball much, but some people have picked that the combined score for the championship game is going to be in the 200s. What are they thinking? This isn't the NBA! Since when have 2 college teams both scored over 100 points in a game? 🤨

@kagesstarshroom the highest I saw was 237 🤣 plus 1 or 2 slightly above 200. I looked up score for last year's championship and picked a score near the same because I'm not that much of a dummy
