Re: MARCH Symptoms

  • @emily1052 my midwife said it's normal, just that it gets worse as pregnancy goes along and usually starts later than this :( for me it's just my hands I think, sometimes up to my elbows...

    @Snaps816 right?! It's like a catch all diagnosis 😂

Also, that tingly “my X is waking up” feeling is how my carpel and tarsel tunnels have always started. Was like that for a few weeks, then the pain and stiffness came. Just to warn you ladies to watch for it as a possibility

  • @cmbt2 the love tit was a thanks for the heads up and not a "love this" lol
  • There have been a lot of nights lately when a little while after dinner, not long before bedtime, I get this insane wave of anxiety. It's like a physical, cringey, twitchy feeling in my body and also stressful, racing thoughts. It makes it really hard to get to bed because I'm not like, you know what would be great? Lying in a dark, quiet room and just absorbing this feeling! So I have been staying up late watching silly TV. I can't seem to focus on a book. And when I finally do go to bed, I toss and turn. It doesn't help that I have to pee constantly and can never get comfortable.

I've dealt with anxiety in the past, but it's usually more about something. This is my second baby, and I'm not particularly stressed or nervous about having it. I've read that anxiety can be a symptom of early pregnancy as our hormones are fluctuating wildly, so I really hope this settles soon. Is anyone else experiencing this?
  • Migraines started very early for me and have now subsided. I honestly think they are still there but the bad morning sickness/nausea feeling has completely taken over and overrides any headache I may have. The best way I've been able to describe it is think of your worst hangover day and thats how I feel all day 24/7 😥. I carry a bucket with me around the house all day just in case🤢. I have NO appetite. All foods sound disgusting ATM. I've been having to force feed myself because as we all know an empty stomach will just make it worse. Thankfully for the most part I can keep food down though and have only been throwing up bile. Tried vitamin B6 but it seemed to make it worse. Unisom is working but it only helps right before bed. I miss enjoying food!!
  • @sabyg12 Try a probiotic. I'm nauseous constantly, but I think it would be far worse if I wasn't taking a probiotic. A lot of women actually swear by them, I found, and were able to find relief after about a week. I always knew they were good for you, but I honestly never thought about them for pregnancy until I randomly found the Pink Stork one and did some research.

@Snaps816 I was experiencing this between weeks 7-9. I'd feel exhausted midday and then as soon as I'd lay down for a nap, my heart would start racing like crazy, making it impossible to take a nap. Taking showers and walks outside helped. It was weird because I was super nauseated as this was happening too. It also helped to push through the day and wait until bed time to sleep. By the time bedtime came around I would be so exhausted that I couldn't fight it anymore.  I read that fluctuations in hormones can produce increased anxiety. Now at week 10, I'm feeling calmer and more like my usual self. Hopefully relief is on the horizon for you too!
  • So. Darn. Tired. I get tons of sleep and my toddlers have been rockstars for nap time and bed time but I just want more sleep lol
  • Holy hormones Batman!!! I've seen a few Avengers:Endgame things today and I've cried at every single one of them. Like seriously though. I can tend to run emotional anyway but this is extreme for even me.
Same 😂 I rewatched Infinity War over the weekend and I cried way too much.
  • Oh man, with senses heightened at 9 weeks, being on a road trip with probably the most disgusting bathrooms I’ve ever visited has been struggle city! I’ve seen a lot of gas station bathrooms from usually driving on all of our trips and these have just been on another level 😨😖 I’m lucky I haven’t vomited because I would not have felt comfortable doing so in those toilets!
  • Anyone else getting restless legs?! Mine feel so twitchy lately :/
  • @nnaelilak Me! I can control the twitch, but I don't want to, if that makes sense. I'll be laying there and just feel like I need to twitch to relieve it. It's so frustrating!

  • @meagan-t yes, exactly!
  • I thought fatigue was supposed to subside around 12 weeks, but I’m not feeling that just yet. I’m using my weekends to sleep as much as my body needs, which apparently is 11 hours (9pm-8am)😮. I’ve also been having pain in my calves and thighs around midday and getting worse at evening. Finding a comfortable position for sleeping has started to become somewhat challenging, but once I find it, I am out like a light. Hoping for more energy and fewer random leg aches in second trimester.
  • @novicemama I'm at 11 weeks and I've been sleeping so much on the weekend! ItsI like I go do something and then I have to come home and have a nap. Even after a full night's sleep. I can't wait to be able to have energy to get stuff done on the weekends again.
  • Currently 13 weeks and absolutely exhausted and cranky. All I want to do is sleep and/or lie around in bed. Pretty sure the grey, wet weather isn’t helping either.
  • @prpl11butterfly I agree with sunshine=better mood!
  • It's not precisely a symptom, but I cannot stand SO putting his hand on my belly (not even like baby region, just the whole stretch of skin below the boobs) when we watch TV together. I'm like get if offffff. I suggested he just lay there and be a passive cuddler so I can snuggle up to him how I need it and he doesn't get swatted away all the time. Also he has definitely been counting on 2nd tri nooky and I am definitely below zero sex drive right now. Eh, that's what his hand is for, right?

@grapeskittles4lyfe he’ll get over it. I completely lose my drive when pregnant, too, so I get it

  • @grapeskittles4lyfe I don't want my husband touching my belly either. It's too sensitive and I'm low-level nauseous all the time. He insists on kissing it every night, which is pretty cute, but I make him do a real light one so there's not to much pressure.
  • @grapeskittles4lyfe ugh i'm waiting for that 2nd try drive. With DS I had the drive the entire time but 1st tri to sick to do anything about it. I have some amazing 2nd and early 3rd try sex. This time around it seems non existent and not really improving. I put myself on pelvic restrictions until 10 weeks but I haven't desired it at all so here we are. I miss my sex drive.

Same here. I had a pretty strong drive when pregnant with my first and sex was great (thanks extra blood flow!). Nothing this time around.
