@stefanielyn1991: Yeah, mine was done last Friday AM and it got posted to the patient portal Monday around noon. I got a robocall saying I had a result posted, which I knew meant I passed (a real person always calls before posting if something's up), and the message showed both my result and the range they used.
No harm in calling in like @thatbaintforbetty suggested, though! I was really freaked about my low progesterone first tri, so I called in, was honest with the medical assistant about how I was feeling, asked how long it took to get results, and asked her to call me right away when they came in (their office is pretty busy and they can de-prioritize communicating about things they don't think are urgent).
A good doctor's office should care about your whole health, and note on your chart that you need a quick response because you get anxious about stuff. (I'm pretty sure I have a bunch of notes on mine!)
ETA: LOL, oop! Edited to correct a tag and see you passed. Congrats!
I just swallowed the last bit of the drink. I chugged that stuff like it was funneled through a beer bong. Oh lordy, was it nasty. With DD I got the orange one and they gave it to me cold. This time around I went for the warm fruit punch and it was definitely better. I ate a waffle this morning because I totally forgot I had the test and now I’m stressed that it’s going to throw off the results. My Dr told me no carbs and only protein for breakfast. Damn
I passed!! The drink doesnt taste bad, downed it in a minute. Walked around the hospital for an hour then got my blood drawn, 95 mg was my result. I ate peanut butter toast 2 hours prior
@elmich3 they let you walk around? I had to sit in the lab waiting room and was told not to fall asleep and that I could pretty much only get up to go to the bathroom. If I left it was an automatic incomplete and I would have to do it over. I would think walking that much could alter the test results.
this is my backup acct. prevously helloblueeyes

@thatbaintforbetty: Weird! I drank mine in the lab and then walked allllllllllllll the way across the hospital to see my doctor, then alllllllll the way back (it's a super big metro hospital.) It was nice to knock out the appointment in the middle. Also, when I did the 3-hour last time, I walked home in between check-ins (2 blocks, don't recommend, nearly passed out on road).
@thatbaintforbetty that's so weird!! My Dr said I could just leave!! I literally went to Target for a half hour while I waited. I just had to be back 10 min prior so they could make sure and do the blood draw at an hour exactly.
Yeah, walking will definitely skew the results as it helps you digest the glucose faster? No rules for the 1hr for me, but for the 3hr we have to stay at the lab and minimal walking.
For my first test they let me walk- slowly to the other building to get some stuff done I failed. For my 3 hr test they preferred I stay mostly still but could walk out to my car or around to use the bathroom etc. with no problem. I sat most of the time only going to the restroom on the way to get it tested at each hour and I passed right in the middle of the scale. Exercise matters, but slow pregnant lady walking doesn’t as far as I can tell.
My docs give us the glucola to take home and drink before we leave for our appointment. They don’t say anything about reducing walking, but I mean, the only walking I’m gonna do is into the building from my car. Haha. I assume the 3 hour is different.
I had my 1 hour yesterday and failed. Have to get my 3 hour next week.
I failed 1 hour with DS but passed 3.
I have mine done at my Dr.s office and not allowed to walk around or leave the office. Allowed to drink water but basically only allowed to go to the bathroom and back to the lab for draws. Walking will definitely skew the results.
That's weird! Yeah, I was told I could do whatever I wanted! It was only the 1 hour test. I definitely didnt walk too fast or crazy, took lots of breaks since I have no endurance lol! So not too worried that it skewed my test. I got the same numbers as my last pregnancy
I have my second one hour today! I passed my first one 6 weeks ago but they are having me test again because baby is measuring big. They just sent me with my bottle and told me to drink it 30- 45 minutes before appt. I am not supposed to eat or drink anything once I have drank the Glucola.
Failed the 1 hr by 3 points!! Their threshold is 129 and I scored 132. And now I regret the 2 waffles with syrup I ate just before the appointment. Here’s to hoping the 3hr next week goes much better.
I have the 3 hour in the morning. When they say no eating or drinking after midnight, not even mints, can I brush my teeth? I forgot to ask them. I don’t plan to swallow any toothpaste. Lol.
@HGRich yes, brushing teeth is okay! I also take my prenatals at night so I did that too. You can also have some water, but not a huge quantity (they didn’t really clarify).
Well, I failed the 3 hour. I feel a little blindsided since I didn’t have this with DD, but glad there’s a few of us in A19 to learn from. Definitely feeling a little unsure how to process this. Guess I need to stick my Girl Scout cookies in the freezer.
