@Allycat11 we have been saying the same. My pregnancy with my son was so smooth and uneventful— my husband likes to say “must be a girl....” I’m hoping he/she makes up for this pregnancy drama by being a delightful and easy peasy baby

@sim-sim Gosh, sorry for taking so long to respond. Missed your reply! No that's not weird at all. It's like whoa there's a life form growing in me. I'm no physician but it wigs me out to see scans of myself. Not the case when it's other people. How are you feeling?

Thanks everyone. We went in this morning and drama baby is looking great. The doc was able to see some remaining SCH which is likely the cause of the bleeding. He said it isn’t near the baby or placenta and even if I have more bleeding/spotting I probably don’t need to be concerned (unless it’s bright red). Feeling very relieved after a restless night last night.

So... I've been doing pretty well. In the last 8 days only 1 small episode of spotting.

But I Barely slept last night. (Bunch of reasons, from dog and husband taking up all the space, to messed up dreams and sharp abdominal pain).
Today is 10w.
10w is where we lost the last one.
Of COURSE I'm spotting heavily today. Because today isn't stressful enough without this ...

I'm trying to convince myself it's just because I irritated my cervix placing the progesterone last night. But this is the heaviest I've had this pregnancy. It's still spotting, but constant. No matter how much I wipe.
Luckily we have an OB appointment in 90 min. Hopefully he will check for a HB.

Baby is still kicking. Fast HB though the Dr didn't measure it.
There is quite a bit of blood pooled in my uterus. But my cervix is still closed so he said that's a good sign.
However, he put me on bed rest for the next 5 weeks. And weekly follow up appointments. So... At least I will get to make sure there is a HB weekly for the next 5 weeks!

@chillycanadian glad to hear baby is well 💕. Sending lots of good thoughts your way, hopefully all issues are resolved with a good stretch of rest.

Ugh just when I thought the SCH was gone I had a gush of bright red blood today.  I already had an ultrasound scheduled for next Tuesday, but the doctor had me come in for a heartbeat check.. 145 so we are all good. but come on.

Hugs @moon1417 It's so hard not to worry. Spotting is the worst and I hope the SCH clears up for you soon.

Very light spotting (brown) and mild cramping the last few days -goingin for ultrasound check on Friday bc I can’t get through the weekend - even though my genetics screening appt is Monday. I’m just panicky

@chillycanadian sorry if I missed it but where is the blood pool coming from in your uterus? Is it an sch? Sounds good that your doc put you on bed rest.

@moon1417 nope, no sign of a SCH this time!
All he could tell me was "inside your uterus". It COULD be due to my polyp... I was supposed to have surgery in March to have it removed. And it was supposed to be nearly impossible to get pregnant with it, so we stopped trying. And then... Poof 😂
However, it does cause problems and is risky.

But on our mini US on Wednesday, he didn't see any sign of the pool of blood. I'd had quite a bit of spotting the night before, so maybe that cleared it out? But it's weird becuase if it's been sitting there, you wouldn't expect it to be pink/red spotting...

However, 2 nights ago, I did have this SUPER weird, pink /brown, sudden massive amount of discharge .freaked out it was my mucous plug, and that my cervix was dilating. But no spotting since.. so still hopeful!

Hello Ladies, it's been a while since I've visited. Just wanted to let you know that 12 week ultrasound (which loomed quite terrifying the night before) was all clear, baby is doing well. My spotting had cleared up for a few weeks prior, but the day AFTER the ultrasound, came back stronger than ever before (after having announced the pregnancy). I dropped in to my obstetrician on the way home from work that day and she did another quick u/s; says that she believes all is fine with baby, and that the spotting is most likely caused by the transvaginal u/s and she would expect to see the spotting diminish and clear up over the next few days. Sort of feel calm, but gosh, just hate seeing that spotting. 
I just wanted to thank those of you who so nicely offered support during that tricky early stage, when it was so hard to find support elsewhere. You rock! xox

Hi, I had a significant bleed yesterday morning (maybe a tablespoon of blood all in one go) I was already getting panicky because the spotting was not diminishing as the OB said she expected it would. Ran off to clinic and there is still a strong heartbeat, movement and a closed cervix, no blood pooling in the base of the uterus. Off work on bed rest for the rest of the day yesterday and today, mostly because I was a bit traumatised. OB says bed rest doesn't make any difference in terms of stopping a miscarriage if it's going to happen, but she does believe that it most likely won't. I'm sort of relieved but still skeptical, because for an hour or two there, I was trying to prepare myself for the worst. Debated whether to look at the screen during the u/s or not, that's how convinced I was that the baby wasn't alive anymore. I will keep you updated, I thought you might find my story helpful, particularly if all goes well in the end.

@maybemaybemaybe I'm sorry for the repeated scares. I've been spotting on and off too and it can be traumatizing. Hoping it finally quits and you're able to have some peace from it!

Spotting stopped last week and had good ultrasound Monday. But we had sex tonight first time since conception and now I’m bleeding not a major amount but not really spotting. So this sucks and I’m panicking. Called on call doc

@baby3ob apparently sex can cause somw bleeding and that's quite common. When pregnant, our cervix is extra sensitive. I hope that's all it is for you! Let us know what the doctor says!

Called my dr to see how my ultrasound results turned out.. .waiting on the call.  I would like to have some sex..

I just went almost 2 weeks without spotting. I was starting to relax and feel hopeful. 
Well I felt funny all last evening/night. And now crazy spotting again 😭😭😭😭. I have to wait till Friday to see the OB. I can't stop crying. Which I know is silly.

I'm so sorry @chillycanadian. It's not silly, the constant back and forth with spotting is stressful! Can you call and see if they can see you any sooner?

aww @chillycanadian spotting just sucks so bad. I am surprised they wont be able to get you in until Friday. The wait is the worst part.  I am usually seen the next day at the latest here, even if just for a heartbeat check.

My OB is out of town until Friday . I'm sure if it was the first instance of spotting for me, or if it was heavy bleeding, they would get me in with someone else or something. 
I'm trying super hard to relax and not freak out too much. Keep reminding myself I've had lots of spotting this pregnancy and it's been ok in the past....
But it's not really helping haha.
I'm gonna go wake up DH so he can reassure me too haha

Oh my gosh! So I haven't been so happy in a long time. So much stress with all the spotting...
Had our follow up today. (No spotting since the episode all day Monday, but lots of cramping.)
I was nervous for the appointment. For 2 reasons honestly.. I was concerned that we wouldnt find a HB. Because PGAL brain.

And I was also worried about being shamed for weight gain. I was sure I'd gained at least 7-10lbs since my last appointment. I feel and look huge, and my jeans barely do up. (Being on bed rest is not conducive to staying in shape.)

But stepped on the scale, and haven't gained anything!! (Well... 0.2 lb but my bladder was full haha)
So I was stoked!!!

And then even better, we saw our little miracle again! Well.. on a tiny fuzzy hand held ultrasound machine. And s/he actually looks like a human!! I'm so in love!! 😍😍😍 Nice looking heart beat too! I'm so excited and relived!

@chillycanadian that is the best news!!! did they say how much longer you need to be on bed rest?
