@mamanbebe I have two things from them... a bathing suit from last summer which was TTS and a dress I got a month ago, which is longgg. I need to get it hemmed. I am in between sizes and probably could have sized down on the dress, but was worried it would be tight in the chest. I'm really happy with the quality though!
@ccmama3 thank you for that! I’m also in between sizes and am on the fence about sizing down. I’d like to keep wearing them postpartum but I worry they might be too big if I go with the larger size. Did the dress still fit ok after you gave birth?
OMG maternity leggings are my new BFF. I'd been wearing my non-mat yoga pants and leggings, but they were finally getting tight after I had them on for a bit and I finally saw a restock on the pair I wanted. Kinda goofy looking, especially for someone like me who wasn't a big fan of high-waist pre-pregnancy, but I will take the comfort...
@greeneyedgirl12 +1 to not a fan of high waist pre-pregnancy. With maternity pants though, I happily hike those suckers all the way to my tits! Soooooo much more comfortable!
@greeneyedgirl12 - Are the leggings you found cotton or... slick?😂 I don’t know what the other kind are actually called. I have several pair that are cotton, but would love a pair that look a little more athletic-y.
@nerdtoyourmother I wouldn’t say slick, but they’re from Zella @ Nordstrom, which is their athletic line, so probably what you’re going for. More $ than the Target ones @hakele suggested but I had the non-mat version and I loved them, so I decided to cave, since I’ve had to change so many brands/fits since getting pregnant. $65 though, not like Lululemon pricing or anything, and my non-mat ones have held up SO well despite my being a size 16... https://m.shop.nordstrom.com/s/zella-mamasana-live-in-maternity-ankle-leggings/4959768
I got these Old Navy maternity jeans and they are my new fave. Skinny leg, full panel, and still have a fake button area and belt loops so they look like regular old jeans. https://oldnavy.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=849548002&cid=12941&pcid=5848 I ordered the black ones too but they are being delivered tomorrow so I cannot tell you yet if I love them too or not.
Some stores, Target specifically, are starting to figure out that spring is, well, springing. Finally. My northern native living in Oklahoma pregnant so running even warmer than usual butt has wanted spring/summer stuff for a month or so already...
@mamanessen - I snagged a couple of high-low dresses. Hopefully I like them. I grabbed them because they will work for nursing as well. So, fingers crossed!
@mamanbebe I've ordered a LOT from Wren & Ivory. I ordered my pre-pregnancy size for all of the dresses and *most* of them have worked. Anything that is made out of Rayon has not fit in any way shape or form, haha. I wish I had ordered a size or two up. Everything that I have ordered from them that is made out of Polyester has fit like a dream! My only complaint about their clothes is that they sort of infantilize you. I hope that is helpful!! I am also selling some of my Wren & Ivory dresses and shirts that couldn't be returned on Poshmark if you're interested in scoping that out! Most still have the tags on them. Let me know if you're interested - I'd be happy to send over the link!!
So I officially can't fit into any of my regular jeans which kills me because my last pregnancy I was wearing a pair of skinny jeans when I went to the hospital and the same pair when I left (total freak of nature but my son rode way up in my ribs and back) this girl is so low and way out front and nothing fits 😒 thankfully it's my birthday and all I got was maternity clothes! My MIL ordered online from motherhood maternity and everything is fantastic and surprisingly good priced. I got the IndigoBlue jeans and their long sleeved TShirts are so soft and lightweight! I bought some stuff myself off a Facebook garage sale site and that was a pretty decent deal too for anyone trying to stay thrifty *sorry bathroom selfie is best I can do for cute bump pics in maternity clothes* f
@greeneyedgirl12 - I got the Kindred Bravely bras @mamanbebe mentioned and I LOVE them. I've been sleeping in them/wearing them around the house for weeks now (my boobs are ridiculous currently) and will probably get another couple. Super comfy, but still supportive. And seem like they'll be great for breastfeeding.
@greeneyedgirl12 I also jumped at the Zella’s when they came back!! I just ordered, glad to hear you like them!
Also agree that the Gap leggings both cotton and performance run BIG. Like oddly baggy around my ankles and calves? I kept one pair but returned the others.
I finally packed away all my non maternity leggings - I kept trying but then getting mad while getting dressed 😂
I ordered this dress from Amazon, and I love it! I actually got it in 2 sizes (wishful thinking, right?), and will return one and likely get a second in the size I need. It accommodates all of my body image issues like...pale legs and upper arm anxiety. *sigh*
Posting again here about Latched Mama (and maybe we need a new thread for nursing clothes???) They have SO MANY cute options, and a pretty active social media presence where they announce restocks and sales. (@latchedmama on Insta)
i'm loving the idea of dresses since its getting hotter outside, and waistbands have not been my friend, however, pre-pregnancy I always wore under shorts due to my thick thighs that love to rub together. Anyone come across a pregnancy option for "under shorts"? Basically anything that would be appropriate under a dress and cover my thighs... maybe a legging that ends between mid thigh and knee?
@fromcatstokids A friend of mine swears by using dove deodorant between her thighs to prevent chafing but I would think buying a body glide stick used by runners would be even better.
@fromcatstokids I purchased some inexpensive maternity leggings off of Amazon and cut them into shorts to wear under dresses. It has definitely done the trick!
@nerdtoyourmother So... I impulsively bought a 'momper' after seeing your post and immediately fell in love. It's so flattering and sooo unbelievably comfortable. It's probably the one maternity related piece of clothing that I've received the most compliments on too. I obviously bought two more in different colors.. . 10/10 would recommend!
@mamanessen - What wonderful news! I'm glad to hear that it works for pregnancy as well as after. I know they are growing and getting a bigger following, but I still get excited to share their products since they are a small business.
