@PurplePoppy424 I like the idea of being able to get to know each other better and share pics and such in private group before we all head to FB. So setting up a private group on here sounds good to me!
I was going to suggest the same, @PurplePoppy424... get a private group going here and then we can make the FB move sometime later in the third tri. This way folks can get a little more comfortable and then will still be a spot for folks who decide not to come to FB.
I am still a part of my D13 bmb on FB. We didn't make the switch until all the bump craziness went down (in later 2014 I think?). You had to be at least a little active consistently to get into the group.
We do daily randoms, hdbd, and occasional other posts like holiday deals, a random FFFC or what have you, etc. It doesn't get too cluttered. There have been a few times where admins did a roll call basically to urge any quiet members to participate or leave. Only few members left that way, but they really didn't participate so....
Most of the members who left our FB group over the years basically did a GBC(FB?) and left on their own accord, mostly due to drama. Yes, we still have our share of drama between active members, but for the most part we get along very well, and I don't know what I'd do without them. I honestly feel like this group will have even less/hardly any drama, if history so far is an indication.
We have a strict rule that whatever happens in the group stays in the group. Absolutely no sharing of anything to anyone who is not or is no longer a member of the current group, including information, pictures, screenshots, etc.
We have had one major issue of one member blocking another member, and that caused issues with the blocked member not being able to see posts by the blocker, including any comments made by others on that post. In the end, the blocker was forced to leave.
In the very beginning, we were close to 100 members with 2 admins and right now we have 43 members with 3 admins. There are "other" d13 FB groups. One is a group that left the bmb during pregnancy. One is a smaller group created later by the divide of drama within the FB group. I'm sure there are others but that's what I know about.
But like I said, I anticipate far less drama with this group.
I also echo @kayjay44 that even as a ftm I participated the least during the first few months after birth (I went back to work at 6 weeks pp). I was just so exhausted and busy. But as DD got older it got easier. So I know this time around as a STM it will probably be even harder. If you are willing to have me and stick with me until things let up again I'd be honored to be a part of the group.

my J17 one had rules and I liked that - there was a weekly check in and members had to check in weekly to show activity. If they didn’t, there was a call out thread for them (nicely - not like “hey a-hole”) and gave them a few days to respond. If no response, they were given the boot. Prob could come back - we didn’t have that issue so unsure how that would look.
We also voted on adding members that admins were unsure of. Like if they had started a little drama or just didn’t post a lot - but given opportunity to rejoin at later time if we got to know them better.
I just love how everyone is so open minded to suggestions on here and impressed with the minimal drama. I already shared our you tube annoucement video last month, so you could all find me if you wanted but I would love to get to know everyone better in the PG and on Facebook eventually. Like a lot of you, I found this app very hard to be on and would participate more on another forum

@lzzfrancisco - Looks like with PG, there aren’t any Admins. Just the Group Owner (which falls to me since I set it up). That being said, I wouldn’t mind a few Admins in place in case hard decisions (ie: having to boot someone) need to be made.

Honestly, it was SO buggy!!! I basically clicked around a LOT- a few times from the message @okayestmom12 sent, which sent me to a question that I had to answer, but I wasn't sure that worked - I did it twice but it didn't load. Then, somehow I got to a screen where it showed the group, and I also clicked join group. Wish I could be of more help...
I thought last night there was a way to request to join. Is there a link or anything @okayestmom12? I see what I assume is the PG listed, but I can’t click on it or request to join.
This is literally what the message looked like in my inbox. That link goes to a 404 page, too. I’m so lost! When we did this with J17, you could just click and request to be added. It’s not even letting me click on the group under groups. I’m going to try and pull out my laptop in a few mins.
@PurplePoppy424 it's being super buggy, the button shows up when I click on the notification from the notifications button rather than on messages - but it won't let me request to join, when I try to an error box comes up that says "duplicate message" with a bunch of code. I'm going to try again later...
