@ruby696 That is a great idea, one I will definitely remember in the future. However the third person they've transferred me to (the one who is going to be taking care of the situation) was super and she said yes absolutely we will be replacing the carseats! Maybe the others I talked to just weren't 100% on how that all works.
I have felt good all day. I even have energy. It is amazing. I really hope I'm moving past the morning sickness and this isn't just a break. I have had a few breaks but I was still pretty fatigued.
Hello all. Thursday after work while just walking (not even running) my little guy (25 months) tripped, busted he lower lip, and knocked his top front took back a bit. There was so much blood so I panic, thankfully H was there too, and go to the er. The ER trip was not needed as they can't do anything and his lip wasn't spit open so need for stitches. Thankfully today I was able to beg and get him seen at a pediatric dentist. They say it's just a wait and see for the tooth, she doesn't think it will fall out but may be discolored if the roots were disrupted too much. Ah, been on level 10 anxiety. He doesn't seems to be in pain but is barely eating but still sucking his thumb. H couldn't be there today and I couldn't hold him for the x-ray, he cried and then the doc rushed in and held him for me. Long two days and still a bit nervous the tooth will fall out and he will have a missing tooth for the next five years but time will tell.
@jhems776 I hope he’s feeling better soon! If it’s any consolation, I fell around 18 months and my front tooth “died”. It turned grey. Eventually when I was about 4, it had to be pulled. But it was NBD and I thought it was cool that I was the first kid in my preschool class to lose a tooth. No effect to my adult teeth.
I woke my 16 year old up to take the trash to the road this morning and I look at his ear and he has a piercing! That he apparently gave himself on Halloween night. 🤦♀️ he is lucky his ear isn't falling off from an infection. Needless to say, I made him take it out. What was he thinking?!
@luckystar - He's a mutt - his mom was a Cocker Spaniel, and his dad was equal parts Pit Bull, Rottweiler, Bloodhound and Lab. He hates baths but was covered in mud from digging in the yard.
@harrierwife my cocker spaniel *hated* baths too. Once in the tub, she would just capitulate and look at me with indescribable sadness. But at least she wasn't 65lbs. Yikes. I hope your back recovers soon...
I have a smaller plumbing related problem. Yesterday the handle on the toilet in the bathroom right off my bedroom broke, so now the toilet won’t flush at all. It’s really inconvenient during the night when I have to walk all the way across the house when I wake up needing to use the bathroom.
The first day of potty training my 2 yo did not go so well. She peed on the floor right next to me 6x. I was on top of her all day. I also feel like she gets it but doesn’t like to be told what to do...ie have to sit on the potty. Tomorrow is a new day. I’m going to the gym first thing tomorrow so I will get some time to myself before I jump back in. Today it was all me as my husband was volunteering at a 5k
@ncm1919 try giving a reminder to go potty and then walk away. Give some control over to her. You may be surprised how well she does when you do this. It also communicates that you have confidence in her to go to the potty on her own and pee. The worst possible thing you can do is to get in a power struggle. You will lose every single time.
They never came yesterday. Water backed up into both downstairs bathtubs and the shower. Both downstairs toilets just filled when flushed and we couldn't use them. It all drained overnight, so hoping the plumber will be here today to fix whatever the issue is. We have only stayed here 4 nights and this already.
@sparklingdiamond I hope it isn’t septic issues, you on sewer? Also, the former residents might have been flush happy with sanitary products or wet wipes or roots can be a big problem if it’s an older house
@dcwtada It's a brand new house we had built! We have only been here four nights. Yea we are all connected to the same sewer. Fortunately it hasn't smelled, which I think is a good sign.
@sparklingdiamond Okay, didn't realize it was a brand new house. Have you called your contractor/plumbing contractor?? I would be beyond pissed. No pun intended 😉
@ruby696 Yes we called yesterday and they had said they would be out around 5-6, but never showed up. DH called them again last night and had to leave a message. We are calling again this morning.
@sparklingdiamond obviously take any advice with a grain of salt but DH thinks you have blockage between the sewer and the main line which is below the house (why it is effecting all drains downstairs). Most likely you need someone to just root your sewer line. He says it will usually slowly drain for a couple days but eventually become a full blockage. His advice would be to call a roto rooter service or make sure the plumbers can offer that.
@dcwtada Thank you! We will definitely ask the plumbers when we call them again today. This is supposed to be covered under warranty which is why we have to call the actual plumbing company that worked on the house.
@luckystar28 DH and I take turns getting up early with DS on the weekends. He took yesterday and then near bed time, I realized it was DST. Yesterday I was just excited that he was getting up without me begging. Had I thought it through...... But it turned out not so bad. He slept until 630 but I had actually been awake for 15/20 min just laying there.
@emeraldcity603 people DO join the groups. but I can guarantee they’re nothing like the groups formed on the TB after proper time has elapsed to get to know one another and bond. if anything, I picture them like babycenter. cluttered, disorganized and annoying 😂
My old bmb Facebook group actually still operates very much like TB in terms of threads and posts, etc. We even use TB terms. TB culture is the real deal!
I haven't been on TB for awhile. My group left during the mass exodus. Then my last 2 BMBs were from proboards. Then the same group that left the bump split again. Honestly, I couldn't keep up with why everyone's panties were twisted and refused to move again. That is how I ended up back here this time.

poor guy
I threw my back out lifting our 65-lb puppy into the bathtub this morning. I want to hate him so much right now, but he's so cute.
