We had a very successful Halloween. I was done after a block so DH took DS all around my parents’ neighborhood and got a good haul. We hardly give DS candy so it should last a while...unless pregnant Mama helps!
Morning. I had a crazy last couple of days. End of month is always nuts at work because I'm in sales and therefore we want to hit quota and stuff. We finished above 100% of quota so it was a good month but yikes we're all exhausted. Add that to the Halloween crazy and I'm wiped. Tuesday we carved pumpkins and I had to make my costume. I was a gumball machine. I had to sew my skirt and I just don't pull out my sewing machine that often so I am a little slower than I used to be. I was up until after midnight. I woke up yesterday at 5:30 which is normal but we had to get the kids in their costumes (policeman and dia de los muertas sugar skull) then work/school and trick or treating around the office, and regular ToTing. I was in bed by 9:30 but I'm not ready to start the day yet. I hope you all had a nice halloween and have a chance to relax from any crazy festivities you had.
On to Thanksgiving! (unless your Canadian [tosh ] and then welcome to November.
Well Halloween and Trick-or-Treating for DD was a disaster lol. We live in the middle of nowhere so MIL invited us over to have pizza and celebrate my birthday (which was Tuesday) and let DD go to a few houses by her, GREAT.
Well, I got home from work and DH and I tried to dress DD in her princess dress MIL got her and she flat out refused and said it was "itchy." She kicked and screamed. I even tried bribing her with candy (not my finest moment) lol. DD proceeded to yell most of the way to MIL's house and while we waited for DH to go inside to pick up the pizza. She still refused to put on her dress for MIL and demanded a treat.
Once she settled down and said she was sorry, I just let her wear her white onesie and her sparkly shoes that she was supposed to wear as a princess and drew whiskers and a nose on her. Luckily, I had black cat ears in the van and put those on her and ta-da she was a cat (again, that was her costume last year except she was a black cat and this year she was a white cat with black ears lol). When we went out she actually did okay and said Happy 'ween and thank you to the few houses we went to. She got on a little bit of a sugar high and crashed later lol.
@galactickates put it in the freezer! So many things you can do. Unwrap a bunch, smash them and make ice cream toppings. I love frozen candy so I would pop one if I'm having a chocolate craving.
DH texted me this morning and asked if I wanted to go to a football game tonight that’s about an hour away (his season ended last night.. so of course he wants to go watch a game on his night off 🤷🏼♀️). The motivation is mostly because one of our favorite restaurants is in this town. I thought about getting a babysitter for DS so we could have a date night, but decided against it because I’m trying not to spend extra $$ this month since we’re about to have to buy Christmas gifts/baby stuff.
There’s a lady in her 60s that lives in our neighborhood. She babysat DS during all the football games last year and a couple this year. She just randomly called me and said she misses DS and offered to babysit anytime for FREE. And she’s available tonight. I’m calling that a little smile from God. 🙂

Welp that was a bummer... we bought tons of candy thinking we'd have a million trick or treaters... noooope maybe 5. We have two bags of the 400 count minis.
Um.. how is this a bummer? lol more candy for you!!

We just toured the birthing center. I'm really impressed and feel great about our choice. Not only is it baby friendly but you also get a 1 on 1 nurse during labor.
Also side note story - there was some girl who was being a major B to her husband/ boyfriend. The lady giving the tour literally just asked this girl her name and she was like "can I not do this? I don't even want to, I want to go. I just want the tour. I want to leave" and stormed out.
What a nightmare of a human being. You could hear her yelling at partner before the class. Whatever they're going through they needs to figure their sh*t out
@galactickates glad your tour went well. That girl sounds awful. When we did our hospital tour, there was a girl there and she was asking the dumbest questions. She was asking about the birthing/ peanut balls. She asked about the "juice" that would leak out while you're in labor onto the balls. Umm no. Then after we had DD, our hospital does a little discharge celebration breakfast. A nurse goes over all kinds of things like breastfeeding and baby safety. Well the SAME girl had delivered and was being discharged that day too. She was asking about how soon she can have margarita. Of course you should know the information with alcohol and breastfeeding but really. She acted like she was going to stop by a bar on the way home.
Last week there was a woman in my prenatal class who was new. The instructor has us each intro ourselves before we begin, which includes what week we are in. This woman just had embryos transferred and wouldn't find out until this week if the process was successful. She shared with us that it's been a two-year journey.
Well.....I saw her today at yoga. She shared with me the good news that she's pregnant. I was so happy for her that I got a little teary. I don't even know her name but I thought of her throughout the week. I'm just happy that she got good news and hopefully this is her sticky baby.
And yes, that does say a baby kicked thru his mother's uterus.
Yikes!
Okay, but let’s not freak everyone out. It says she had previously had fibroid surgery before she got pregnant and it is most likely the uterus ruptured on its own!
