@honeymorochdubrovsky yes, unfortunately. 😞 I’m taking colace once per week right now, until I have my first OB appt and discuss whether I should be taking more. I try to drink at least 60 oz of water per day, and eat several servings of fruits & veg. Some days I also have a glass of Metamucil. This is all such a struggle right now bc most of the day food is unappetizing and too much water in my stomach makes me nauseous. Edit words
It starts as as soon as I'm wake and doesn't end all day. I can't get anything done. Sometimes eating helps, sometimes it makes it worse.
I never throw up though 🤔🤷🏼♀️ I dry heave into the toilet and gag (and burp?!), but nothing. I often wish I could just throw up and maybe it will make the nausea stop for a few minutes. Although I've been told throwing up doesn't always bring relief.
@kbelly777 I dreamed last night my husband cheated on me with 2 teenagers. Every night its a new crazy dream here too!
Pregnancy #1 DD 08.30.2007 Pregnancy #2 Natural Miscarriage at 6 weeks 03/2014 Due date 11/9/2014 Pregnancy #3 DS 02.23.2015 Pregnancy #4 Missed Miscarriage at 11 weeks 11/2018 Due date 5/22/2019 Pregnancy #5 Positive test 12/11/2019 Due Date 8/17/2020
I didn't have any weird sex dreams, but I did have a dream that my friend had a soda machine in her house that she made her guests use to pay for their drinks 😂 I think that and a snack machine for the teenage years might be kind of brilliant.
Oh but I did have a weird sex dream with Jody from Shameless a couple weeks back.
@honeymorochdubrovsky, I’m just waiting for the constipation to hit, as this is the one consistent symptom I had in my two prior pregnancies. Coffee and drinking a ton of water helped, but eventually I was also taking Colace and Miralax daily in order to keep things flowing. Especially as the belly expanded
Lying in bed, nauseous as fuck, wondering why I thought it would be a great idea to do this again. My pregnancy with DD was so awful that I told myself I was one and done. And then she was born and I was ecstatic to have my body back and not be pregnant anymore. And little over a year later, here I am again. I miss wine. Actually I miss wanting wine. I miss working out. I miss running around all day and barely being tired.
I told DH tonight that he better get that vasectomy with in the first 6 weeks after #2 is burn because I could see myself tricking myself into thinking ttying for a 3rd at 41 was a good idea. And no. This is it!
@beccaneu ugh. Today was especially hard for me too. I've been having Charley horses and now foot pain. I attempted to do my hair and was completely exhausted after about 15 minutes.
@honeymorochdubrovsky yes I've been constipated. I try to eat Fiber One bars. They somewhat help but the constipation isn't totally alleviated. I'm in search of advice for that.
Today I have been super dizzy. Trying to lay down and close my eyes and it feels like I'm riding the pirate ship ride at a carnival. I'm assuming this is just another fun pregnancy symptom, but damn is it making my nausea worse.
@kbelly777 I dreamed last night my husband cheated on me with 2 teenagers. Every night its a new crazy dream here too!
Oh my goodness!! I had a dream my DH cheated on me with THREE different women.
I was yelling at him, packing my stuff to leave, and he tried to hand me a snow globe we bought together at Disney world and I threw it down and smashed it. So weird and specific and it seems to real when I'm in it.
This is probably common knowledge for all the all the all day nausea mommas, but my dr recommend b6 twice a day and Unisom at night for the nausea. It hasn't taken it away all together, but I do believe it's helped some. Just wanted to share the love..
@kbelly777 Thats the crazy thing the dreams seem so real!

I searched and didn't see this mentioned already. But the discharge I'm having is insane. pregnancy is so glamorous.
TW - one of my mom friends just had her water break at 11 weeks, and now I'm super paranoid that it's not normal pregnancy vaginal discharge, but amniotic fluid. /TW
I have an appointment with the high-risk dr today, so I'm gonna check if everything is normal!
@lovelybabybumpz hopefully all is well. I consulted with my OB on the phone earlier to check if she thought mine could potentially be bc of a uti. For now I’m pushing fluids and monitoring. But yes, so much more discharge than normal too.
@psychobutthead and @kbelly777 It’s so weird y’all had husband cheating dreams because I did too just a few days ago! AND it was 3 different women too, and he wasn’t even trying to be sneaky! The next night I had a dream that he was leaving me, and I was so upset. I told him about both dreams in the morning, and of course he’s sweet, and reassuring and all that, but he was like.. so 3 girls at one time?? 😂 Men.. 🙄🙄
@k2k2tog multiple times DH has said "I think we need to change DD's diaper" and I've been like...ummm, no that was me. This is not normally a problem when I'm not pregnant lol
@malaikalb the first trimester I feel absolutely horrible which doesn't help my mood. It should pass for most people by week 14 (somewhere between 12 and 14 weeks, hopefully earlier for you but was week 14 for me last time). It generally peaks around week 9 supposedly. I absolutely love the second trimester and personally also liked the third. First trimester just sucks. ETA: I've dealt with foot cramps and the occasional calf cramp my whole life - not sure why, but everyone always recommends bananas and drinking water. I think I have something else going on related to my flat feet that causes it but the potassium in bananas is supposed to really help.
@isbellwife@lappymom2019@kbelly777 so I dealt with the all day nausea without taking anything last time and I really think I should have been taking 25mg of B6. I talked to my doctor about it at my 8 week appointment on Friday and it has taken the edge off a little bit (like kbelly said). I could only find 100mg tablets so also got a pill cutter - it's actually more economical that way anyways since you get 4x the number of pills. It's supposed to be totally safe as long as it's not prolonged (and 2 months is not prolonged) and you don't exceed 150-200mg/day (should only be taking 75mg if you do 25mg every 8 hours which is what my OB recommends). Anyways, maybe ask your doctor if you aren't already on something like that or stronger.
@kvh22 Thanks. I called my doctor on Friday because it was unbearable and I had a super busy weekend. I have started to take b6 and I took unisom Friday night and Saturday night. I didn't last night because I wanted to try to tough it out today since I didn't have to work today but it was a bad idea...I'm struggling to keep anything down today. I am still not even 7 weeks so this is going to be rough for awhile.
I'm a little nervous... 7w1d today and feeling great (I should be happy, lol)... but last week I was nauseated and exhausted. I'm still tired today, but otherwise feeling fine and hoping everything is okay!
I just wanted to share this from my doctor I thought it was standard practice at every office but then I was talking to a few pregnant friends and they had never received anything like this. Anyways this is what my OB gives out on the first visit. Obviously if you have any concerns or sensitivities you should check with your doctor but I literally keep this on my fridge and love that I can refer to it when something comes up.
edited to add: there is some debate about the efficacy and safety of Sudafed (my doctor hasn’t mentioned concerns) during first trimester so as always do your homework.
Of course I’d get my first yeast infection in YEARS while I’m pregnant. I didn’t even notice it but when I went to my first OB appointment she said it looked like I had one, and sure enough I do. She told me to take Monistat 7. Well today I took it and i think it’s making me spot a little. Could be the cream or the applicator from what I read online, but it still makes me so nervous. I’ll call my doctor tomorrow...
OMG my nipples hurt so bad! I can barely put on a bra without them screaming in pain. Why do you we put ourselves through this?!?! If men had to be pregnant, the world would end in 100 years!
@Courtster5609 my last pregnancy, I got a yeast infection I could not shake. I thought maybe I was wrong in my self diagnosing, but my midwife ran some tests after I finally complained about it and sure enough... the spotting could definitely be caused by the applicator, so don't worry!

@thebobloblaw my NP said 100mg up to 3x a day. Currently I’m just doing 100mg at night with half a unisom and it has about curbed my nausea and insomnia. Win win
I just threw up my breakfast. I've been able to avoid that mostly so far by dry heaving and bringing up bile in the morning before I've eaten anything, and by a shear force of will, but no such luck today.
Thank goodness I have my first appointment today. I need me some diclectin!

Any migraine sufferers out there have tips on how to deal with them while pregnant? Had them pretty under control pre-pregnancy with Imitrex, but now I have to ride them out which is taking at least 36 hours (using up sick days 🤕) and is making all other symptoms (nausea etc) way worse.
@loon2019 My migraines got really bad in my second trimester last time and my OB was able to prescribe something that helped a lot, so it may be worth bringing up or calling about! I wish I could remember what it was called.
