I'm having serious aversions to sugar this is really, really weird for me. I normally have such a serious sweet tooth. I even tried to make myself eat a cookie the other day because I convinced myself I had to want it just out of habit. Nope. I just ate some dried cranberries and now I want to puke. Better wash it down with my beef jerky...
@DuchessOfCambridge@poshspice one of you mentioned some kind of chicken a few weeks ago and I remember I looked up the recipe and it looked delicious and now I can't find the post or remember what it was called, do you remember? It was like Chicken L___ I think and I'm dying bc I wants it precious
We have a Nespresso (got it as a Secret Santa on DH's side 3+ years ago) and it is AMAZING but I have zero interest as others are saying. We order more pods when they run promos on extra pods with a certain amount and DH was like "well what do you want?" Ummm you know I can't even think about drinking coffee for another 7 weeks. Last pregnancy he kept offering to pour me alcohol the entire first trimester b/c he would forget I couldn't drink. I think it was in the intro thread but also feeling worse as the day goes on and I've always described morning sickness (without throwing up) as an 8 week hangover to male friends and women who've never been pregnant and ask.
@kvh22 I can't stomach coffee either. I got this awesome coffee machine for Mother's Day that grinds the beans fresh for each cup. It's AMAZING but I can't even look at it without my stomach turning. I feel worse as the day goes on too! I haven't thrown up yet...knock on wood.
The only thing that sounds at all appealing to me at the moment is spaghetti, but I made spaghetti casserole Saturday and had leftovers yesterday. If I make spaghetti today the kids might revolt. I really want spaghetti though....
I get insanely hungry (like get out of my way or I will throat punch you because you're standing between me and my tacos) and then as soon as I eat I never want to see food again. Until the whole cycle begins again 2 hours later. Also something that I was craving intensely earlier in the day may make me nauseous that afternoon. Poor DH, he's taken to me fending for myself for meals because we can't plan anymore! Right now boiled potatoes and tacos (with as much spinach as I can stomach for at least a hint of nutrition) are at the top of the list.
I just got a honey bbq supermelt at Friendly's and man was it amazing. I think it's like 1000 calories but I dont even care because nothing has been appetizing lately!
Definitely had to actively avoid this thread during the stomach flu. However, now that the stomach flu is done, I’m eating anything and everything I can get my hands on. Eating is the ONLY thing getting me through this nausea.
I hate that this nausea is preventing me from eating the amount of protein I should be eating or the amount of fluids I should be drinking. Today, the only thing I could stomach was a little oatmeal, some mint & honey flavored green tea and a few chips. Ugh. I want to force myself to eat a burger for the protein but I just can't.
I did alot of broths last week and was able to hold down some chicken on Saturday but I know it's not nearly enough of what I need. Need to speak to my OB as far as protein supplements go. If it's just chicken and broth I may be able to tolerate that today. Just gotta find a good soup place around here. Can't be creamy - it'll make me puke.
@mamajojo1981@mrskoz428 DD got sick at daycare so I picked her up around 10:30. DH has to stay kind of late at work so we already decided during lunch we're ordering panera and I have the chicken noodle soup in my cart I think I've only had it once before but it's definitely thin as I remember it - picture online looks like it hasn't changed.
ETA we're ordering for dinner and on the west coast so it's just past 3 here.
I got so hungry at work this afternoon that I bought an Easy Mac from our cafe. It was the only thing that sounded good. And I almost cried when it was all gone because I wanted mooooore. It tasted like Freshman year of college.

So after feeling nauseous all morning, I got the courage to eat a burger (small one mind you) and even though right after I ate it I was still scared it may make me puke, I've gotta say - my body needed it! This is the longest I have been able to not be nauseous at work - a whopping 4 hours so far! No sour candy needed, no crackers, no ginger tea - I guess I needed some red meat!
@mamajojo1981 - red meat is the only thing that settles my stomach! I think it must be a combination of the protein, iron, and B12 or something. Dark meat poultry helps, too.
Well...the bagel shop in town is supposed to be open until 4p (another 24 minutes) and when I got there 10 mins ago, it was dark and locked. I'm pissed...NOT currently eating a pesto bagel with cream cheese
Pancake, omelet and sausage for dinner here. Decided for today maple syrup is the greatest thing ever created. So happy to have been able to eat without forcing myself to.
@secicc12 omg give me all the pizzeria regina. I miss it so much here in CT (originally from MA) there isnt even a papa gino's near me... I drive an hour away for it sometimes and for get it when I visit my parents lol
I had Panera for lunch- brocolli cheddar soup and Steak and Cheese Panini.... so effing delicious.
So I was so excited about dinner tonight. I got Publix to steam crab legs and shrimp for us, and we made loaded baked potatoes to go with it. I’ve been craving crab legs since someone mentioned them on here the other day, so I practically had heart eyes over here. Well, I’m not one to complain about food, but they over cooked the crab legs so so bad. They were completely dried out. Husband is taking them back to get more, and I’m so disappointed that I don’t even want them anymore. You had one job, Publix.
A week or so ago, our exchange student gave us a couple moon cakes. Finally got around to eating it tonight and it was kind of weird, but after the first bite, also kind of delicious. It was made with lotus seed which I looked up before eating in case it was one of those things I should avoid - according to google, it’s one of the best foods for pregnant women. Score!

While teaching common versus proper nouns today, one student gave an example of restaurant as the common noun and Arby’s for the proper noun. Promptly went to Arby’s after school and ate a large order of curly fries. It’s going to be a long 7 more months!

@mrskoz428 and @sleepy33 I haven’t had Arby’s if forever because it would make me so burpy, but now it’s 9:30am, and all I can think about are curly fries and a beef and cheddar sandwich. 🤦🏼♀️
