Some of my coworkers brought me pink and blue flowers today. Apparently, if the blue one lasts longer, the baby is a boy and if the pink one lasts longer it's a girl. I'm not a big fan of OWT but it was so sweet and they were so excited. I told them i'd report back with the results; it's gonna feel like beauty and the beast waiting for the last petal to fall!

I called my OB today and I passed that damn GD test!! Woo! 
I failed the 1 hr and had to do the 3 hr last time so I’m super happy to just have to do the 1 hr this time.

+1 for the Belly Bandit. I just felt like it made me feel more together. Everything felt out of place afterwards. 

All set up to book our newborn photographer! It's the same one that did our wedding photos! Last time around I thought he would be too expensive, so I went with someone else, who I also loved, but she would have to come to our house and since we moved into this place last year, I'm just not feeling like home. Or cleaning for someone to come take pics. The photographer we're going with this time has a studio setup so no fuss on our end! Plus he said he'll do our pics for trade and get tattooed by DH. Win!

My random for probably the week... DS and the terrible twos have been kicking my ass this week. We went on a playdate today and I wanted to just sit and have a tantrum with him and see who could cry louder lol.

Wanted to share my desk calendar this morning (exactly 3 months to edd). Especially as a ftm who is grappling with "giving up" who I am to be a mom, this really resonated with me today.

I think @PensiveCrayon mentioned the Benkung belly wrap at some point in this thread?  And that you didn't like it?  I was thinking of getting one... did you just not use it because it was a pain to put on?  Has anyone else tried one?

Yes, it was a huge pain to wrap @kadeephd. It maybe wouldn’t be as big of a deal if you didn’t have to start wrapping so low (so that you have to unwrap to go pee), and you could probably just ignore the instructions and start higher...

In any case, I will happily mail you mine if you think you can get some use out of it!

@PensiveCrayon Oh I did not realize you had to unwrap it to pee!  I definitely wouldn't want to do that.  I think I'd just cheat and wrap it a bit higher like you suggest.  I'd happily take yours off your hands and will reimburse you for shipping if you won't use it. Maybe I will have better luck with it.  Thanks!

Peeing is hard enough PP.  Aint nobody got time to be unwrapping and rewrapping!  
I used a Belly Bandit and liked it.  It kept everything in but I was still able to move in it.  I originally received a Bellefit one but it was too intense for my liking.

Just generally, don't we have to un-sticky something to get a new sticky? I thought at some point someone said we could only have 5? I don't know these things though..

AFM, my baby is very active and I know the UO thread is all about not complaining when your baby kicks but.. How do I handle very obvious baby kicks when I'm sitting in a meeting at work? I am talking "my belly is visibly shaking my hole stomach" type of deal. Do I just ignore it, laugh about it, wait until someone makes an awkward comment? Lol.

@ab_canada I feel you on this one and I am only 25 weeks.  Sometimes my baby kicks so hard it takes my breath away.  My OB actually laughed at me because I was complaining about how active this baby is and then she saw him in action and was said “holy cow he’s strong”.  My first growth scan will be at 32 weeks now instead of 34:)  I don’t have any advice on how not to react in a meeting.

@ab_canada I haven't read the UO thread, but I feel you!! He's been kicking a lot lately, and it's really distracting to be honest. No advice though, I mostly just sit straighter or lean back in my chair. Basically for me stretching out my stomach makes it better, he doesn't like being squished by my slouching apparently lol. But I don't think people really stare at my stomach enough to notice kicks, and I'd be weirded out if they did to be honest!

@ab_canada When I was pregnant with DS, I taught 3rd grade and I felt like I couldn’t get through a lesson without a child having to tell me about how much my belly was moving. It felt like a constant topic of conversation.
