New GD diagnosis at 32 weeks

So, My clinic was late doing my one hour test because someone was in
labor and they were rushed on the day I had it scheduled. So, now at 32 weeks I failed my 3-hr test. My doctor is on vacation this week
and I have not heard from the clinic anything about my results. I just
know I failed because I looked at the labs online (fasting 104; 1 hour -
204; 2 hour - 140; 3 hour - 101). I have been trying to adjust my
diet accordingly and do my research online to get a better idea of how
to eat (counting, limiting carbs; eating every 2-3 hrs, etc.). I got a
cheapo reader from Walmart last night until I can find out what is
covered/recommended. Last night, four hours after supper my reading was
118. I had a 109 this morning fasting and 2 hours after breakfast it
was 127. I suspect maybe I will need insulin because of what I have seen so far, but I really have no idea. My regular doctor is on vacation this week so I am going to
see a midwife in a couple days. Just frustrated because I need help and
guidance and I am worried about what damage is already done since we
didn't catch this earlier.

We're a pretty close group, but welcome anyone new. We have a few ladies who recently got a similar diagnosis and are forming a good group of resources on the GD thread I linked.
