Re: Symptoms 6/20

  • 25weeks today!

Mostly insomnia, an insatiable hunger coupled with a lack of interest in actual food (but soda and hard candy are totally on the list), and my ankles have started swelling during the day.

Also, I feel like I have constipation, but my bowel movements aren’t particularly hard; it just takes a long time for them to occur.

For insomnia for me, I am waking up around 2:30 to pee. If I read for 45 min or so, I generally get back to sleep, although not always the most restful sleep.

Also, I have discovered that I am getting too warm at night even with the a/c set to 73.  That sucks, and I weep for my electric bill this summer.

  • 24 weeks and I thought the vomiting was over two weeks ago but here we go again! Outta nowhere! Hormones I guess?

+1 to vomiting! I threw up this morning and was so pissed off. Wth body we are past the half way point now...

Also getting very hot at night. I know something's up when I'm complaining of the heat and DH says it's fine. Its usually the complete opposite...I am ALWAYS cold.

My back is starting to really get out of whack. Went to chiropractor yesterday and he couldnt get my right side to adjust. Said things are definitely tight...boo. Need to book another massage!

On a positive note, baby is just going nuts in there. Constant kicks and punches and rolls :)

@knottieamusements I told my DH to be prepared for our electric bill while I have the ACs going full blast and all fans on trying to circulate the air.  He came home last night and told me it was cool in the house while I was laying on the bed in front of a fan like an over heated beached whale.

24w 5d  This week I've started with the insomnia bc I can't get comfortable.  I need to pick up some super cheapo pillows so I can start to build a better nest.  My feet got swollen for the first time the other night, headaches, stuffiness, an insatiable appetite.
  • 24+1. No vomiting but the backflips baby is doing is definitely making me nauseous. Pelvic pain seems to have subsided a bit today... or maybe I'm just too busy to notice.

Heartburn is still out of control but aside from that and not dealing overly well with the heat I’ve actually been feeling fairly normal finally!

Started feeling baby on the outside which is fun - DH and the kids still haven’t gotten the chance as they’re too impatient but it will come.

My biggest complaint is that I pee a little every time I cough/sneeze/jump/move the wrong way - I know with this being my third my bladder control isn’t what it once was but seriously! All the kegels in the world apparently aren’t helping anymore.

Feet have definitely been swelling, doing lots of epsom salt soaks and trying not to overdo it on the really hot days, the heat is definitely making it worse.

Baby has been moving around a ton, especially when I start getting hungry, which is adorable.

Also just out of breath for basically everything. Still trying to get my walking in and taking the stairs whenever possible, but man just getting out of my chair can leave me breathless now.
  • @knottieamusements I couldn’t sleep with the ac set to 73, even before being pregnant! Admittedly, I hate being hot, and we have our ac set to 70 usually (though we’ve had it even set to 68 the last two days so that it can keep up with the mini heat wave we’ve been having). Luckily DH is the same way, so we’ve just come to accept that our electric bill will be higher because of it. On the flip side, we keep the house cooler in the winter too, so at least our heating bill doesn’t get too high the rest of the year?

Sciatic has moved into my butt. I feel like I'm always out of breath or just exhausted from the simplest things! Waking up a lot, cant stay comfortable or asleep and I wake up at least once to twice to pee. Feeling lots of kicks and movement going on in there which is fun!

23w2d. +1 to insomnia, feeling hot AF overnight (AC is at 71), and hungry all the time but not wanting actual food-chocolate is amazing. Also I love my diclegis because it limits my insomnia to like 30 min, instead of 2 hours. #bae.

Anyone else peeing like every 90 minutes?? I certainly dont drink enough water lol. My have started to swell a bit at the end of the day, and my low back has been hurting more. Hopefully the chiropractor and massages will help!

Edit to add: I forgot to mention that baby kicks are adding to my insomnia!! I mean, you're cute and all, but let me sleeeeep.

  • 21+6 Feeling ok...I’ve had random heartburn/acid reflux the past couple of days which sucks...and water seems to make it worse?? Tums did help last night and it hasn’t returned yet today so we will see what happens. My back has also been bothering me when I don’t sleep right, and it’s hard to get comfortable. But I’m feeling him move all the time and I love it! DH finally felt him yesterday so he was excited because he left today for a work trip and wanted to feel him before he left. I even saw my stomach move last night from a kick so that was exciting!

  • 21w1d. Insomnia has been going from the start...unisom has helped a lot. Just starting now is the heartburn and acid reflux! I tried to do a yoga class and every time we did any sort of inversion I felt acid coming up my esophagus! Time to start stocking up on Tums!

    23w2d.

    Also very hot at night.

@jemmerjamsI am peeing like every half hour.  It's annoying.  And dumb, because I know I'm not even drinking enough fluids.

Not sure if this is pregnancy related but I've never had the problem before, so I don't know what else it could be, but I am getting these crazy rashes underneath my rings.  It's really red and irritated.  I have no idea where it is coming from.

  • @sliztee ooh, every 30 minutes is rough!
  • 25 weeks

Im feeling pretty good. Some heartburn, but I’ve been dealing because TUMS seem to
make me sick. I have noticed occasional nausea, especially in the AM, but it’s mild in comparison and is usually a fleeting feeling. I’ve some swelling in my hands and feel. I need to take my rings off.

My my biggest complaint is that I already feel so large. My maternity clothes are tight and there’s still 15 weeks to go...
  • KFrobKFrob member
@cdepperschmidt I literally just looked at myself in the mirror and said holy S, I'm huge.  There is no way I'm fitting in my current maternity clothes this whole pregnancy.  I feel like my belly doubled in size the last week.
  • 23+6, indigestion had subsided but has made a return with a vengeance the last few days. Hip pain on both sides makes for terrible sleep. I have to wake my husband to help me turn several times per night because it's so painful and something cracks when I shift positions . I'm constantly uncomfortable and easily winded. Add my unrelated allergies and I just can't deal lately.

Take your rings off and let your skin heal for a few days.  You may be more sensitive than usual to the materials used to make the rings (even gold rings are cut with another metal- that’s what the ‘k’ refers to), or it may just be heat/friction related.

+1 for every 30-45 mins pee breaks and 2-3 times in the middle of the night. It is BRUTAL!

Also the last couple of days I have been getting pains from walking more than 5 mins. It feels like RLP / cramps from running too much. Guess my uterus is getting to heavy to be bouncing around walking.

Same here, @chyvie!!! Should we be doing like...ab exercises or some shit?
  • 25 weeks

+1 to feeling large. And to getting out of breath more easily. And to being hot. Baby moves a lot but it doesn’t feel like it’s getting that much stronger yet. I have an anterior placenta so maybe that’s why?
  • 23w 5d

Today I have a horrible headache. I'm wondering if it's the storms moving in though.

DH texted this am "might want to turn the heat off for the rest of this week". I looked at the forecast, um no that won't happen. I have it off today and all the windows open and it's comfortable. It's only 70 though. It's gonna be 80 tomorrow, the air will be on dude.

RLS is getting worse. Both the dr and chiro said there was nothing they can do, which sucks. Baby is moving like crazy. DH has felt him a few times now. Had a dr appt today and everything looks good. Although, I guess my BP was a little higher than normal. Dr didn't say anything though. Glucose test in 3 weeks, so right after I get back from camping.
  • @chyvie @sliztee my doctor told me that’s probably from not drinking enough water. Maybe see if that helps! I’ve been drinking more the last few days and it seems better...
  • 24 + 2

Spider veins on my legs. Leg and foot cramps.

Picked up dog poop and now I am flopped in bed with the fan on. Wasn't even that warm out!! So +1 for always being super warm. Baby is enjoying me laying on my left side and is crazy Kung fu fighting!

  • Gassy and feeling heartburn. I'm also pretty much done with bending over.

@lolo_0924 I'm not sure because I drink a lot of water already. I guess I could up it and see if it helps .
Will be definitely asking OB next week

  • 23 weeks and feeling good. Insomnia and sleep discomfort have been relieved with the purchase of a new mattress (thank God!!).

Basically just out of breath and hungry. And gaining all the weight no matter what I do (Walking, stairs, watching intake) and it’s uber upsetting. I gained 65 with my daughter and it all came off, but still.

on the plus side, doc said he would let me go a week or so early if I decide I want to and baby henry is looking to be as big as his sister was... so that’s exciting!

I am just so silly beyond excited to meet this little human!

  • 25+3:

my ankles are swelling a lot

my my back is getting sore, especially after sleeping or walking for a while

also up to pee in the middle of the night followed by being wide awake for an extra 30 mins

also hot (and I am *always* cold!)
  • So today I was sitting in my boss's office and the room started spinning. It was very brief, maybe a few seconds. I'm waiting for my dr to call me back. The nurse didn't seem to concerned, but I did have a headache all day yesterday. She said to keep an eye out if it happens again.

    Anyone else have dizzy spells?
  • @sammierose464 i experienced some dizzy spells a few weeks ago and upped my iron intake and it went away, so wondering if it could be a bit of iron deficiency?
  • 21w 5d

My insomnia has seemed to go away for now which I am very thankful for but now kicks in the exhaustion it might have something to do with the crazy hot spell we are going through right now but oh boy I could sleep all day if I didn’t have to go to work! I think baby had finally let go of my bladder, my bathroom breaks have been down even with keeping up my water intake.
  • @sammierose464 I used to get those during my last pregnancy. I would be doing nothing and then all the sudden I’d get dizzy and my vision would get blurry. They were never concerned though.
  • @sammierose464 this actually just happened to me this morning while making breakfast. I'd get them once in a while last time too. I'd just sit on the ground and wait for it to pass. It never lasted for more than 10 or 15 seconds though.
  • Dr thinks it might be residual from my headache/migraine yesterday. He wasn't concerned unless it starts to happen more often.
  • I've gotten a little light headed and dizzy but it's mostly when I'm overexerting myself, or when I'm dehydrated.
