@ladyofarlington In my original BMB, we had several ladies who delivered early or late and they just stayed with us because they'd been with us the whole time.
Ladybug - April 2013 Dandelion - October 2018 Angel "Aurora" - July 2020 Angel "Sawyer" - May 2021 Angel "Maxine" - January 2022 Angel "Violet" - March 2022 Baby Dove due March 2023
@ladyofarlington yes we still post here lol. We went through our milestones around the same time. I was due July 8th with DD but had her June 10th and I did not switch.
+1 for being weirded out by how obsessed people are about that wedding. (I’ll look critically at the pictures later I’m sure but I don’t care enough to follow any of it right now.)They’re PEOPLE not GODS! I also don’t follow celebrity news for that reason. That may be an UO I guess but I just couldn’t possibly care any less who did what. It’s not like it affects my life in any way.
@knottieamusements Coffee tastes AWFUL to me right now. Could never do black coffee, ever.
@ladyofarlington NOPE. If you deliver one day early into Sept you're totally excommunicated.
(Kidding, of course. There's no way we can control that stuff so hoping everyone stays around regardless! But I if you want to move to another month or are more comfortable with people who delivered at the same time, I don't see why you couldn't!)
@ladyofarlington - I was actually kind of sad the first eight weeks or so here because people thought that doctors messing around with their due dates meant they had to go to another board. (I seriously don’t care if you are Sept 30 instead of Oct 1- I already kind of know you!)
My UO pet "parents" that act like they are just as good as parents of actual humans annoy me more than they probably should. Yesss I love my pets but its nothing compared to my kid. I can leave my cats a week with a food bowl, litter box, and water bowl. I cannot do that with my
This this this. I love my dog and loved her long before my son, but there is no comparison to the way you feel about your child. We have close friends who treat their dogs like children and I eye roll.
@ladyofarlington I would assume we still post on this bmb since we're growing and getting to know each other all together (: While lurking I have seen people post their announcements and stuff in bmb's the baby was born instead of their usual bmb but I feel like that's kind of weird because you don't know those people ya know? If i deliver in september or really really late in November I'm still going to post it on this bmb.
@ninji15 yasss! I've thought about posting this before but wasn't brave enough! I was talking to a coworker about our stress in finding a good daycare and her response was something like, "I know, I was so relieved when my mom retired and was able to watch Scruffy while I'm at work so that I didn't have to send him to doggy daycare anymore. It's so expensive and there's such a lack of quality providers" Like ummm not quite the same thing, but I appreciate you commiserating with me.

Just catching up now, but totally agree with everyone about the lurker post. I mean I get it if you’re a lurker and want to post something because you think it might be helpful to others, but coming in here to shove your opinion in our faces is just weird when you’re not part of the board.
Also agree with the pet parents. This makes me think of one of the episodes of the office after Pam and Angela both give birth where they’re commiserating about having babies, and Oscar makes some comment about his dog. Totally not the same!
Also also, coffee is disgusting, unless it’s a vanilla latte. But give me a nice cuppa tea any day, and I’ll be a happy lady!
Can't stand black coffee!! Honestly I don't like my coffee to taste like coffee lol lots a flavor, cream, and liquid sugar in my iced coffee! I once ordered at Dinkins in the drive through and when I pulled up the guy gave me my coffee and said "here's your diabetes in a cup" I like sweet coffee
@mamabearcj My sister is the same way. The more stuff in her coffee the better. I can't do any kind of anything in my coffee. Especially flavoring.. It just taste so artificial to me. A lot of the specially drinks Starbucks comes out with sound delicious, but I know I would hate it if I got one.
@SawyerRichardson too funny! I wouldn't figure out what to order at Starbucks I don't have one near me, I'm a dunkin donuts girl!! You'd think I'm crazy if you had my order, now that it's summer I get the cookie dough swirl, caramel swirl, extra cream, liquid sugar
On the pet parent subject..I love mine to death even though sometimes I’d pay someone to take him. We do treat him like a kid but I still realize he’s an animal. Not a human. Animals are great and I love his company and unconditional admiration but if he causes any problems with this baby (which I really don’t expect. His breeder boarded him for a few months before we had a place to keep him when we moved and he was great with her baby) he’s gone without question. As much as I love him there’s no way it could hold a candle to what I already feel for this little one! Some good family friends growing up had a cat that sat in a high chair with a bib and ate every meal with them. When he died they honestly acted like they lost a child! Full blown funeral with flowers, a tiny casket, and they put a legit headstone where they buried him. I thought they had lost ALL their marbles!
I saw people posting rants that they should be recognized and celebrated for Mother's Day because of their animals.

My UO is that’s I hate cooking. I don’t think it is relaxing at all. It’s a chore, and one that I’m not particularly good at. That said I love other people’s cooking
@rc-cola - I didn’t cook for ten years because my ex wouldn’t let me in the kitchen (which is a whole different story). When I became single, I discovered that cooking is a hassle- especially for one.
That said- I’m a bit concerned about what this may mean for Blast’s future dietary habits and am trying to figure it out before xe arrives...
A wedding at 6am?!?!? Oh lord no I won't be watching that. I'll enjoy the days of gossip about it afterwards and all the pictures I'm sure are to come!!
Never posted my own uo.. I hate cake. It's dry, bland, and rarely made well enough for my to enjoy it.. I dont really like cheesecake either but thats a texture thing. like carrot cake though and strawberry shortcake but that's more biscuity
I am also team #nocoffee but I love a good #hashtag
I will not get up for the wedding but I can't wait to see the drama (if any) and Megan in her dress.
I used to love cooking but since I'm the only one who does it therefore it has become a chore and annoying. I also hate how long it takes to prep - plan meal, purchase ingredients, cook and then clean up. With costs of food it's almost cheapee and easier to buy premade. We also use chef's plate 2-3 times a week, which I enjoy as it cuts the time in half.

@mamabearcj I hate cake too! People always freak out when you tell them that so I'm glad I have someone to commiserate with! But cheesecake though, now that is my jam! I had cheesecakes for my birthday cake every year as a kid.
DH drinks black coffee every morning and it makes me want to vom. I've had major coffee aversion with this pregnancy, not sure if I'll go back to drinking it after or not. I do appreciate a good decaf latte with coconut milk tho.
+1 to hating La Croix, and even more so now that those stupid La Croix bathing suits came out. Whyyyyyy is that a thing? The only sparkling water I like is the Green Apple Perrier and Mango Pineapple flavored Aquafina. I guess I'm picky, but needed something to keep me from drinking a Sprite every day. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@rc-cola I love it! Been doing it for just over a year. Tried three other companies and kept going back to chefs plate. Good quality food and recipes ans great customer service. We don't have blue apron here so not sure what the difference is .

@SawyerRichardson I can only eat a few bites of cheesecake before I get grossed out.. I love the taste but can't get past the texture of it. I can't eat Jello either or Apple sauce

Coffee is the elixir of life. It’s delicious. Living on only one cup a day is one of my absolute least favorite parts of being pregnant.

Although, I'm one of those people that put creamer in my coffee. I have one cup every morning!

I totally agree about pet parents. I love my pets and they were my babies before DS but it's not the same thing.
I also dont care about the royal wedding. I'm not into celebrity gossip either though.
I love a good cup of coffee but I can't drink it black. My parent do and I just dont get it. Haha

Canada is part of the Common wealth so that's my excuse Haha
That being said I will NOT be waking up at 6am to watch the wedding live. F that.
