@lalala2004 yes they will. I know several people that have gone this route. Do you have a problem with me doing something that I think is more humane for my son that’s 100% my prerogative and decision. We are here to give our opinions and I’ve our reasoning not question each other. The phrasing of your question seems very judgmental “actually do that”. 100% open to different ideas and opinions but do not appreciate the phrasing of your question.
I think you need to step back, take a breath, and see if you interpreted what Lala was saying.
Many pedis will not put a child under for a surgery unless it is 100% needed and all other options have been explored. I had to fight for 6 months to get L his tubes. And that was after we had 11 infections within a 7 month span. I had to do the same with E. The reasoning given by every dr. We saw was ‘they are too small to adequately measure the correct amount. Dosing for children and toddlers is isn’t something that we do often and so is very difficult to get right. The repercussions are serious, and so we will only do the surgery if everything else hasn’t worked.’
ETA: Also, if you are never questioned you might not ever find something that is better. Change, whether in thought or deed, isn’t always the end of the world.

@princesslockness I definitely don’t have a problem with a question or hearing another point of view. That’s one of the reasons why I am here. One thing Being a mom has taught me is it takes a village. I just did not like the way her question was phrased and wanted to let her know how it came across to me.
I appreciate what your saying. Its one of those things My husband and I will definately be talking through with the doctor. I’ve already interrogated my friends that have done it that way. The only things that’s 100% is that my second born is not having it done at birth. We will def be talking through the procedure and have to make a definite decision When that time comes.
@taylorandbrad I was legit just asking because I’ve never heard of that and didn’t know if doctors really wanted to take a risk of anesthesia for a procedure like circumcision. I wasn’t sure if you actually had talked to one that will do it, so that’s why I asked.
If you want my opinion, I think that if you feel that way about it, I think you should consider just not doing it at all. If routine infant circumscison was usually done other anesthesia, I would not have made the decision to do it. I’m not saying that’s the wrong thing to do for you, I’m just saying it would certainly affect my choice if it were me.
Re: What are your thoughts on Circumcising?
