  • @craddockwifey313 I'm so sorry, let's get the baby baking for as long as possible!

  • @foxbaby2016 might be your shoes, I recently put some inserts into my uggs for better arch support and my foot pain has pretty much disappeared.

  • @kenya thank you! I’ll look into a stool softener. I’m trying tons of water now and a small amount of prune juice daily to see if that helps.
  • @foxbaby2016 depending on my level of activity I also have to do what @wildtot mentioned and rub them before bed.
  • @noideawhatshesdoing what a scare!! I'm so glad you're better now. You inspired me to have more water for sure.

Also congrats on joining the boy mom club :)

All of this!!  Little boys are so much fun.  I am excited about having the opposite sex this time but also just a little bit sad to not have another little boy around.

@craddockwifey313 I am sorry to hear about your bedrest, but SO glad they caught it early.  Take care of yourself!!

  • @craddockwifey313 so sorry to hear that. Praying for all to go well the rest of your pregnancy!

thanks for the well wishes ladies! As a little update, I do feel infinitely better today!

Also, as for stretch marks, after my first daughter, those stretch marks faded. When I had my second, the faded ones reappeared and some new ones showed up!
  • @kissableviv @stlmegs Thanks. I'm glad everything worked out ok, it was just so embarrassing! Fainting in public just doesn't work for me and my proud self image. At least I used the bathroom before that happened so I didn't wet myself, because this wasn't a dainty little faint. Came out of nowhere and I was out cold for a minute or so, and was so confused why DH was waking me up from a nap when I came to. lol. I didn't want to take the ambulance because those are expensive, but I didn't know what triggered the episode so didn't want to risk having a problem in our car on the way to the hospital. Turned out the ambulance was a good idea because when I went into shock and started vomiting, it was better to be in there than in my car. Poor DH didn't sleep for days after because he was trying to watch me sleep to make sure I was still breathing. I think he's still pretty shook up about it.

And yay for boys! A girl would have been fun too, but I have all brothers, so I'm comfortable there I guess. Plus this will be the first boy for all the grandparents.

    @craddockwifey313 Take care of yourself!

Also re: stretch marks, I haven't earned any pregnancy ones yet, but I have plenty from when I was much much heavier which feel like the just faded and now they're all I see again. I'm totally blaming the baby for them even if he doesn't give me new ones. Lol.
  • What does lightening crotch REALLY feel like?
I thought I had it last pregnancy and while I was hooked up to nst I mentioned it and they told me that what I was feeling was in fact a contraction.
I’ve been feeling that same (or very similar?) thing all day along with what I’m assuming are just bh’s. I’m curious to see at my next appt if my cervix is changing, I really hope it’s not. It’s way too soon for this!!!!!
  • @paytonpedro to me it was when DS would punch/kick my cervix. It almost felt like he was trying to break free.

@wildtot that’s what I thought it might be this morning, but it’s been all day.  :| I felt kick on my side at one point too. Ugh. I have an ultrasound tomorrow but not with my doctor, at the hospital for a follow up to my anatomy scan. So, I guess I’ll just ask then.

Edit: thanks for your response, I’m just frustrated.
  • @paytonpedro mine would get worse and more frequent as he got bigger. I also got it more if i stood or sat for too long. I would have to lay on my side to reposition him.
  • I feel you all on the sciatica pain it can seriously GTFO. It is however much better the days I take time and stretch 1-2 hours before bed. I find if I do it right before bed I think it hurts more initially making relaxing hard.

also constipation sucks! my stomach is all kinds of messed up from having my gallbladder removed but i never feel "empty". also i am peeing every 5 minutes it feels like!

  • @foxbaby2016 elevating them for awhile once I get home has helped a lot!

  • I have had an issue with the large hard poops in the past but yesterday they started hurting moving down...I can feel them painfully making their way from the lower abdomen into the "station" if you will (at least, I'm assuming this is what it is, I poop right after). Fun new symptom and will definitely take the stool softening advice from everyone here.

I had a suspicion it might be my choice of footwear. I'll swing through Target tonight to look for some inserts. Thanks!
  • So much trapped gas when I’m not moving. The second I stand up I let out belches like you wouldn’t believe.
  • Stupid sciatica, both my butt cheeks were aching last night. I’m sure DH will rush to give me a butt massage if i ask him
  • @acunamatada at least it’s not the other way lol
  • @wildtot that too actually!! Haha DH spent last night sleeping with his shirt covering his nose... but some of that WAS the dog lol
  • @craddockwifey313 and @noideawhatshesdoing so sorry, hope you are feeling better.

+1 for sciatica pain and my bulging discs and knees are super pissed off.  After our TRU adventure last night I was basically in tears by bed and made DH help me get in jammies after trying to stretch.  Still having shortness of breath and dizziness, but haven't had the HR spikes over 150 lately (knock on wood). My bladder and I aren't speaking currently though.  I drink a gallon of water a day but don't pee that often (except middle of the night) and when I do pee its like there's a ton of back pressure and it's hard to get started.

  • @gingerbride26 - have you tried lifting you belly while you per?  Sometimes the weight of baby plus a full bladder can put pressure on the urethra...  Or I'm assuming that's what happens... I find it easier to get going if I move my belly or shift my weight around/rock back and fourth
  • @KatyF0813 yea - that was a staple with DD in 3rd trimester didn't think i was big enough yet :-/ I do tend to lean forward to try to help which doesn't really but I'll do a full lift next time.
