Selfishly created. Ugh i can’t seem to get rid of this achy leg feeling at night. The pillow isn’t helping either. Is this what they mean by RLS? I’m gonna call my doctor today to see what i can take (if anything) but it’s not letting me sleep and i feel it the most at night.

For some reason my hurt hips have stopped the last few nights and I've been able to sleep. And I've pooped like, every day for the last 5 days, but it has started hurting again, although not in a hemorrhoid kind of way. I dunno whats up. Other than that...I feel baby kicks WAY more often these last few days. They aren't really big but super obvious and a nice way to calm anxiety until the next appt!

@wildtot I feel like its hard to describe what RLS is. To me, its like I can't stand pants touching my legs or having them not stretched out, and then sometimes even when they are stretched out, I still have it and can only get rid of the RLS by stretching my leg out and tensing the muscles. It comes upon me most often at night when I am wearing leggings or skinny jeans and on the couch with my legs bent and feet on the ground. RLS is so weird, I hope you find relief regardless of what is causing it!

@SmashJam glad your getting some relief these days. The feeling i get is more of a need to stretch but it doesn’t help.

I’ve been super emotional. I went to my H’s work the other day got in his fridge and grabbed a pb egg that he had stashed and he joked with me that I couldn’t have it because his dad bought them (his dad works on the same property so they share the fridge) and it made me cry. So his dad bought me my own bag of them lol.

this is super tmi, but idk if I’ve just been straining too much while trying to #2 but every time I sit on the toilet my bits feel lots of pressure. Kind of like pushing pressure. Usually it goes away once I’m off the toilet but yesterday it lingered all day. Boo

@hillbillywife me too on both things. DH like to joke like that even though i keep telling him not too and i just cry each time. On the poop stuff, i have lift my belly up to relieve some of the pressure.

@wildtot I remember you saying you did that! And I wasn’t equating it to be the same thing. I’ll have to try that. Thanks!

My H is so sarcastic. I’m also super sarcastic so when I’m not a huge ball of hormones I like that we can banter together but goodness it’s the wrong button to push right now lol.

@wildtot I get that terribly during pregnancy, too.  What helps me the most is exercise and eating bananas.  I love frozen sliced bananas before bed as a little treat and it also helps my annoying legs.  Exercise helps me the most though.

@wildtot something maybe similar is happening to me? It’s like my knee on my left side can never get comfortable no matter which way I have it bent and even having it up against pillows makes it uncomfortable. It’s super weird.

Also so tried to push myself up back on my pillows last night using just one leg which with SPD was a huge mistake. Hurt my pelvis like hell and now I REALLY can’t walk without leaning on things to support that side. I’m such an idiot I really hope this goes away I cannot be this hobbled for 14 more weeks

@hillbillywife aww!! I am so happy you got your own PB eggs!

No real new symptoms here, same as last week, with being out of breath the most annoying.  A good symptom ...I think I am almost definitely feeling baby. It's still so light but more consistent so I really don't think it's gas or anything anymore. Dr said last week, not to worry if I feel nothing for the next couple of weeks bc my placenta is cushioning the kicks but it feels like light little muscle spasms or tiny nudges, not flutters. I can't wait until they are stronger!! ❤

@wildtot that sounds exhausting *fingers crossed* you get some relief and rest soon.

I'm feeling good physically but I'm so emotional. I don't know if that's justified at times or if it's pregnancy hormones.

The one fun thing is DH being able to feel the baby move now <3

So now I know what sciatica feels like. OMG! In the evenings I feel it bad, mostly up high around the butt and my hips are getting achey too. My husband has struggled with sciatica because of a disc issue for a while, so he showed me some stretches, but damn! It's pretty sucky. Also, a few nights of insomnia that I'm blaming on me getting used to sleeping with my new body (which I love, by the way, except when it keeps me up at night LOL).

I have terrible sciatic pain(or what I assume to be sciatic pain) and a few weeks ago I thought I was going to die it hurt so much to walk -- I started sleeping with a pillow between my legs and it helped a LOT. I know this is kind of a "duh" thing, but if someone else hasn't thought of it -- it may be worth a try. :)

I'm feeling prgood overall and thankfully the pooping has been fine all week. I've been feeling the baby a lot although it's still kind of erratic , he has his times when he 'wakes up' but on some days he is more active than others. Despite the anterior placenta DH has felt him many times which is cool!

I've been getting this weird feeling in my abdomen which feels like minor stretching, I feel maybe my body is just expanding, I also noticed a few visible veins around my belly. And I felt super full after dinner last night, I need to make sure I eat smaller portions.

ETA: still sleeping well, waking up a few times here and there but nothing more than a minute or so.

Ugh my sciatica pain is so bad it reminds me of the back pain I had during chemo, and at least then I had every pain pill under the sun to get me through it. Idk if I'm experiencing it worse than what's normal because of my body not being fully recovered from treatment or if this is normal but dear god. I have to keep reciting "only another 15 weeks 6 days" under my breath to stay sane lol

@bradybunchmom89 I wish sleeping with a pillow between my knees helped.  :'(

@kissableviv I'm feeling fuller earlier during meals too!

I got this massive U-shaped body pillow that has helped with my lower back pain, but I've still got horrible hip and knee pain. I somehow always wake up on my back because apparently side sleeping just hurts me too much. Last night I woke up from sleeping on my right side with my right shoulder in excruciating pain and basically immobile. Not looking forward to 3rd tri when sleeping on my back isn't an option.

hillbillywife I feel ya on the emotional-ness. I had my first emotional break down this weekend for absolutely no reason.  Peanut butter eggs (yummmm!)

For all those suffering with sciatic pain- I am so sorry :( I had this earlier in my pregnancy- praying it doesn't come back.  Stretching, sleeping with a pillow between my knee's and yoga seemed to help.

The nurse suggested i take Tylenol at night and look out for any redness, expensive swelling, more swelling in one leg over the other, hot to the touch or recurring pain regardless of Tylenol.

TMI warning : having an issue with large, hard poops. Last night after going my backside was burning for hours. I’m not sure if it’s hemorrhoids or small tears but I definitely need to do something! :s Trying to drink more water today and eat more fiber. Anyone have any natural suggestions for softening things up?  :#
  • Options
@ashbub714 for me lots of water, upping fiber help me stay regular but when I really need to go, for some reason Dunkin’ Donuts coffee with milk helps more than any coffee I’ve ever made at home- super not helpful when I pick it up on the way to work

+1 for sciatic pain  :s. Sleeping with a pillow in between my legs helps, I have a mini snoogle and I have to curl the bottom for my knees and then tuck the top part under my side to support my belly/keep LO out of my ribs at night or I’ll never sleep- which will be impossible soon enough  :'(. I have to stretch more regularly, I’ll be good about it when I feel the sciatic pain creeping up because I know how bad it could get but I’m not doing enough to keep it away all together.

Lots of movement from the LO, DH can feel her pretty often which is cool.. But I’d like to have my belly back while I’m trying to relax at night! I know I’m pregnant, and it’s baby in my belly but I’m still weird about people touching my stomach.

Not really a symptom but curious to know,  has anyone else been diagnosed with a short cervix? This is baby 1 for us and her measurements all look "perfect" according to the tech but during my sono yesterday she switched to a transvaginal sono and called my Dr who was out of the office out of concern which of course then concerned me. My cervix if i recall correctly was right at 2 cm ( I'm currently 23 weeks, and as much as I can't wait to hold my gem, I need her to stay put a little while longer )

The Dr. spoke with me over the phone and explained that she wasn't going to lose sleep about it and I shouldn't either.  She prescribed me progesterone to be inserted nightly and said she would be sending me to a specialist this week. They explained that the cervix is dynamic and it may look just fine next time they look but my mind can't help but wander.

@ashbub714 I would also suggest staying active - I find I have some...movement... after a good long walk!

Current situation: feeling hungry and full at the same time, decide I think I am feeling hungry, eat a snack, immediately get heartburn because I was actually full  *face palm*.

@canucklehead123 lol! That happens to me too.

Been snacking on the chips. I need to make some HB eggs to keep on hand for protein. Also a little acid reflux today I think it was also because I've been stress eating. Blah!

@canucklehead123 same thing happening over here. So frustrating

Hey y’all! I’m kinda new here, but last week I posted about vaginal itching and burning. That had all started last Monday. Fast forward and since last night, I started feeling lots of pain. Like it hurt to sit.
Long story short, I ended up finally being seen by the OB who delivered my first and she found a cyst on my urethra! That’s what began causing my pain. She popped what she could and referred me to see a urologist.
Prayers it’s nothing more and that it goes away!! I’m 20w4d btw. I just want a healthy baby and rest of pregnancy and to actually enjoy it.

@Ford0523 glad you saw someone about it and hopefully it gets taken care of and this is the end of it!

@ashbub714 Great suggestions from everyone: tons of water, going for a walk, get more fiber. I would add in Miralax or a stool softener like Docusate. I have IBS-C, so I deal with this way too much. I take Benefiber in the morning (it's clear, has absolutely no taste or texture) and then I take Miralax (exactly like Benefiber) at night with Docusate (little gel pills). It sounds like you could benefit just from Miralax and/or Docusate since you already have "stuff" to go. Both Miralax and Docusate are stool softeners so they aren't stimulating to "make" you go, they just soften out what you are going. Also, IMO, better to start the stool softeners early since this is what they will give you in the hospital after labor. I had zero issues with the dreaded first poop and no issues afterwards either. I think it all had to do with being active, drinking tons of water, and taking my stool softeners regularly.

*Of course, check with your OB if you are unsure about any of this. I've run this regimen by every OB I went to last pregnancy and this one and have never had an issue.

@wildtot Lap scars?  Also, my hips/love handle area is out of control so I feel ya on that.

No new stretch marks yet but I have noticed my old stretch marks from previous pregnancy (white and very faded) are starting to become more noticeable again. Hmmm...I wonder how that works...do the old stretch marks come back and/or get darker in addition to forming new ones?
  • Options
@foxbaby2016 from my laparoscopic surgeries I’ve had. I hope my big appendix one doesn’t stretch much. But yeah my two old stretch marks from DS are back with maybe 1-2 new. I think the ones on my butt are coming back too.

Update: I was placed on bedrest indefinitely.

@craddockwifey313 that stinks but hopefully your babe stays put!

@craddockwifey313 oh no! That totally sucks. Will they reconsider if things look better at another scan?

    @moguippy : prayerfully so

@wildtot : My Dr is pretty certain it will be the entire pregnancy. Thankfully I'll have the rest of spring break to get a sub and and sub plans together

@craddockwifey313 I’m sorry! I had to be on disability/bedrest starting 30 wks with DS so i can relate to some of the frustration.

@craddockwifey313 oh no im so sorry! Fx fx fx baby stays put as long as possible! At least they caught it before anything more serious happened.

@craddockwifey313 Sending good vibes your way. I hope things look better at your next ultrasound.  :)

My feet are starting to hurt ...anyone else having this problem already? I'm 24 weeks....wondering if its the weight I've gained or my choice of footwear (flats at work and uggs at home)

  • Options
@foxbaby2016 mine tend to hurt late in the day and into the night mostly. They will go all night too which makes it hard to sleep sometimes. Starting to take Tylenol and rub them before bed
