@jerseygirl9090 ha, I just tried a bath for the first time last night. There are times I feel totally fine... but it's never the middle of the night! Hope it eases for you too.

  • @baybeesunflower My husband won't let me wear his clothes.. he says I'll stretch them out! I still do though. If t wasn't for his sweatpants, I would be going pantless 99% of the time.

@nancysimp My belly is so odd shaped. He definitely prefers the left side, so I'm super lopsided lol

  • @baybeesunflower I’m with you on that. And when I finally do sleep- I’m up every 1.5-2 hours peeing.
And then I need to fall asleep all over again.
Ive been getting an average of 4 hours a night this past week.....it’s killing me.
And bring on the migraines......any suggestions on what to do for those? Doctor suggested cafinated drinks. But it’s not doing much...

Ive been getting an average of 4 hours a night this past week.....it’s killing me.
And bring on the migraines......any suggestions on what to do for those? Doctor suggested cafinated drinks, but it’s not really doing much...
Edit to add- I’ve been having really bad tingling in my fingers the last few days. Has anyone else had that?

  • @paigew123 my fingers have too. I think it might be circulation problems due to being in the last couple weeks.
  • Hahaha @sarahhedger7 Seriously!!! Same here with the pants!!
  • @paigew123, my OB suggests Tylenol and caffeinated drinks for my headaches/migraines. I have a very long history of headaches so I also have a special prescription that I can take if it gets really bad. They also tell me to increase my water intake.
As far as the tingling in the hands, @sassypants2010 has it right- my feet have been alternating between numb and tingling during periods of more swelling- OB said today that it’s just poor circulation and blood flow return because it’s all gotta go over the hump that is my huge baby.
  • I'm 39 weeks and I've noticed the past few weeks every once in a while the baby "kicks" feels like he shakes/shutters, I'm starting to wonder if this is normal? I don't remember it with my first.
  • @bravoandprosecco I have that too.

  • @bravoandprosecco I have that too. I read somewhere (I can't remember where—maybe on here?) that it could be the cord gets caught on the baby's hand/foot and it's them shaking it off. I have no idea if that's accurate or not, but it's a pretty cute mental image!
  • Thanks @sassypants2010 @maelily15
The tingling/numbness was kinda freaking me out cuz I didn’t have any of it last time...happy to hear it’s nothing more then poor circulation....

  • @paigew123 I have the same thing and my doctor says it's carpal tunnel caused by pregnancy and will resolve after delivery. I guess all our doctors have different takes on what it is - maybe they just don't know!

  • So sick of playing- do these contractions mean anything? I am not even sure half the time if it’s a contraction or baby moving. I was up for over and hour last night(from 1-2:30) with back pain that would sear on and off every four minutes then stopped. Hopefully there is something happening.
I have a feeling we will be talking induction tomorrow at my appointment. DH wants to wait through the weekend and I want it done asap. I am so irrationally worried that something bad is going to happen the longer baby is in there the worse it gets.

  • @megpeg I am with you on the worry the longer baby is in, I never measured ahead with my first two and it seems I am measuring farther each week (going from a week ahead to 3- almost 4 wks ahead) my doc already told me I am not allowed to go past March 12th and I am feeling more irrational as time goes for fighting an induction. Being a mom makes you crazy I guess.
  • @sassypants2010 I was measuring 42 weeks last week, I don’t even want to know tomorrow.

  • @megpeg we will get through this! I just wish it wasn't so stressful and uncomfortable, like being 39 weeks wasn't already hard on our bodies
  • @megpeg Keep a towel handy! And good luck! Sounds like you're next!
  • @megpeg you are almost halfway there!  Good luck and I pray your labor starts soon.
  • well, baby's still breach at 37+3 so midwife was not hearing it that I want to give baby more time to flip. She had a good point that LO has been in this same position since 20 week ultrasound.
So my options are to try an external cephalic version with an induction that day if it's successful. This would only be done if my cervix is ready for induction. Or, we can schedule a cesarean. And she said she won't let me go past my due date because she doesn't want me to go into labor breach and require an emergency c-section.
Either way, she would do an other ultrasound to confirm baby position before proceeding. If, by a miracle, LO is flipped, we would be able to proceed to natural birth.
I'm totally upset, even though I know logically we have modern obstetrics for a reason. I don't even know what sounds worse at this point.

  • @fatstagnation you are allowed to mourn having your choice delivery being taken oot of your hands. I am so sorry baby isn't cooperating still, but at least you have some time to decide what you want.
  • I agree with @sassypants2010.  I will keep my FX that baby miraculously flips.
  • @fatstagnation do you have a chiropractor? They may do the Webster method and be able to get the baby to flip. DD did at 37 weeks.

  • @fatstagnation I'm sorry to hear that. I understand your disappointment and being upset. Fingers crossed baby flips. <3 <
  • @fatstagnation, totally agree with others. You have every right to be disappointed/upset. This is a huge life event. Even with a healthy baby as the outcome, your experience and how you feel is still important.
  • Thanks so much everyone. I am seeing my chiropractor today, and he is trained in the Webster method. So we'll see how that goes.
I'm feeling a bit better today and DH is being an angel. I'll also talk to doula today to get her perspective.

  • @fatstagnation good luck DD turned almost immediately when I had it done and it was terribly nauseating just to warn you.

  • Thinking of you @fatstagnation! Let us know how it goes.
  • @fatstagnation, that's good! I wanted to let you know also if you did go the route of a c-section, to ask about being able to hold your baby right away instead of waiting like is the norm for those.

I like using the terms vaginal birth, and c-section birth. And with drugs or without drugs. :)
  • Anyone have this weird sensation sometimes like cold water just went through a vein? Super weird but currently a spot under my left boob feels like there’s cold water coursing through the vein just in that one spot.
  • @megpeg so exciting! I'm sure you'll have a beautiful experience. Can't wait to hear more and see pics.  <3
