My sciatica is out of control. Crying in pain when I walk out of control. I don’t remember it hurting this bad for the entirety of my last pregnancy. Worse is I just went to the chiropractor on Thursday. Why do I feel worse? I ordered an exercise ball and I got a foam roller from my mom, so I’ll see if that helps. I’m literally just getting over my all day nausea, and and now this. Plus, heartburn seems to have started already. I can’t catch a break. Why has pregnancy #2 been so hard? Maybe it’s because I’m running after DS and picking him up all the time. I kind of have to, though? DH says I just need to keep him on his backpack leash more, but that doesn’t help when I’m wrestling him into the car seat or I have to change his diaper.
Sorry for the rant. I’m just laying in bed with my heating pad feeling sorry for myself.
I had a bout of it last spring, I don't even remember what I did, something inconsequential but I literally had to crawl to the living room to "stand up" with the aid of the ottoman while bawling. We don't really have any good chiropractors in the area from what local folks tell me, and none of them take insurance.
It took weeks and tons of Advil, but I eventually got over it with careful sciatica stretches I found on Youtube of all places, and something a friend of mine recommended. Go to a doorway that's not too thick, for me it's a floating wall between hallway and kitchen. Whatever side it hurts on, put that shoulder so it pushes the front of your shoulder into one side of the doorway, and take that side's leg, curl it around the doorway, and push back with your heel, while simultaneously pushing forward with your shoulder. It does something for the joint alignment and mine actually audibly popped back, and then a few weeks of gentle stretching it slowly got better.
Mine's been bugging me if I sit on the couch wrong for too long, so I've been kind of babying it, because if I had to rely on Tylenol to help me I might as well just curl up and die. lol
Is sneezing painful for anyone else? Every time I sneeze, I feel like I need to bend over or bring one leg up and hold onto my stomach. It hurts really low, right around my pubic bone.
@kc0711 I have the same thing! Very sharp pain just above my pubic bone when I cough or sneeze. I'm just assuming its round ligament pain or something? It's only sharp under those circumstances though.
@doctormom33 it is so annoying! And I look real strange bending over to sneeze in the middle of the grocery store. I figured the lack of abdominal muscle had to be a cause, but round ligament makes sense too.
Pubic/pelvis pain. DS already knocked my pelvis out of line when he was born and I have to do my exercises to keep it all in place but I’m in pain now and the exercises hurt. I can’t lunge or do certain movements. It’s worse when I get up from laying or sitting too long but also hurts when I walk too so I can’t win!
@kc0711 Me too, and coughing causes it to happen too. Sometimes it hurts so bad that I literally cry out. That has only happened a couple times so far, and never in public, thank god.
My new thing is apparently a dry pregnancy cough. Dr. Google says that’s a thing. I’m basically always coughing this sad, pathetic cough. I sound like Zoolander with the black lung. Very annoying.
@lalala2004 I’m having this too, much earlier than last time. It’s like a Charlie horse in my a$$, takes my breath away! @kc0711@doctormom33 I’m having this too and assuming it’s RLP as well. Also happens when I stretch in bed, pick DS up or move quickly in general
DS born 04/22/15, Pregnant again 03/01/17 however loss due to PPROM at 20+6 weeks now TTC rainbow
@lalala2004 I’m so so sorry! I def feel your pain. I’ve had sciatica since my last pregnancy but it was much worse when I was pregnant. Could barely walk. Chiro helped tremendously. Maybe plan on going once a week? Massage is good too! I hope you feel better!
@kc0721 my husband thinks I’m such a freak because I legit brace myself when I sneeze lol
im 13 weeks tomorrow and Still nauseous and exahsted. Praying I feel better soon. It’s getting me down some days but I’m trying to remember it’ll pass. My two year old doesn seem to understand that I need To rest
For me its pissing myself half the time I sneeze or cough. Which is just gross and annoying.
My ms is getting better, yay. So the heartburn decided to take over. I’ve had it each pregnancy but this is the latest for it to really get bad. Calling for rx tomorrow.
Also, I’m getting headaches, often. Wtffff what a terrible pregnancy symptom. I’m sure the fact that I’m chronically sleep deprived isn’t helping but ugh. They are debilitating.
I an really appreciatinh the easier pregnancies I had before. The heartburn was bad, and I had bad back issues with my first. But this crap? Omg. its making it hard to enjoy it.
Is sneezing painful for anyone else? Every time I sneeze, I feel like I need to bend over or bring one leg up and hold onto my stomach. It hurts really low, right around my pubic bone.
Sneezing, coughing, or getting up funny can sometimes trigger it for me. I think maybe it's round ligament pain? Happened to me last time too. Although, I'm mostly bracing myself when I cough or sneeze so I don't pee myself
This past week, my headaches have gotten worse and so has my skin. Just bought some extra Tylenol for my purse so I always have some with me. The extra strength rapid release works for me, thank goodness. Anyone have anything that works well for rosacea?
Pregnancy is so glamorous, right ladies? *facepalm*
My nausea and food aversions are worse than they were in the first tri. I haven’t really had a full dinner in at least a month because of it, but thankfully breakfast and lunch are usually fine.
I had a break in the migraines for a few weeks but they’ve come back several times in the last week or two. Yesterday’s was so debilitating and I had to prep for DS’s birthday party today, no fun at all. I miss my excedrin. Also, Coke is usually my cure after I take excedrin (or Tylenol when pregnant), but this baby doesn’t seem to like Coke and I get nauseous every time. Rude.
+1 on the insanely weird RLP. I don’t remember them being so sharp or strong this early in my other pregnancies.

+1 to round ligament pain AND peeing with sneezing and coughing. And right now I have the flu (which deserves its own dedicated rant) so I'm basically doubled over, soaking wet, and smelling like urine all day long. *sigh*
Me: 40 DH: 43 Married 5/30/15 TTC #1 June 2015 BFP #1 9/28/15, EDD 6/10/16. DS born 5/23/16! TTC #2 May 2017 BFP #2 m/c 11/18/17 5w5d BFP #3 12/17/17 EDD 8/25/18. It's a boy!
Another +1 to pain and pee when coughing or sneezing, and to some sciatica pain. My sciatica was definitely worse with my first, but it's still here this time. Other than that, I've been getting so full so fast. Like have a sandwich and feel like I ate a 7 course meal.
My boobs have recently started to get super tender! With my first pregnancy, they started out tender and by this point they were find. I hope this doesn't mean its going to last most of the pregnancy!
@kc0711@doctormom33 yeah that's definitely RLP. I remember the first time it happened with DS, I thought I was going to tear in half. You just gotta brace yourself like you're doing, lol. So much fun! YAY!
My boobs are hurting really bad again like @jennyinyellow, and it hurts to take a shower or take off my bra. I really only wear sports bras so the ladies (who am I kidding, they're maybe a B cup now) don't jiggle around during the day.
I'm also having some cramping (not really cramping, more just like an ache) in random spots of my stomach and I wonder if it is my organs shifting or what. I'm really in tune with my body so I seem to notice every little thing.
So far I haven't had to go to the chiro, knock on wood. I am attributing that to our new bed.
I have what I assume is RLP every time I sneeze or get up from sitting too fast, I usually remember to brace for it when sneezing now but will sometimes stand up too fast at work and have to double over in my office. Just a sharp shooting pain in my lower right pelvic area that lasts for a split second. Fun fun!

@lalala2004 I feel you on sciatic pain! I’ve had it for a while now. My chiropractor discovered my pelvis was completely out of alignment and has been adjusting it back into place twice a week. It’s crazy how different I feel after, hope you find some relief!
My MS is getting better, it’s no longer all day. Just random times every couple of days.
my boobs are so freaking sensitive and I am so incredibly hungry!!
I've gone to "I want to eat all the things (except chicken still)" land. My boobs stopped being full and achey for a few days last week, but now the slightest touch to my nipples makes me wince, which makes bedroom fun time not as much fun.
My nipples are getting darker and also dry and itchy. I'm going to miss my pink areolas, lol. I need to find some good lotion that doesn't leave residue and feel sticky. I'm getting dry and itchy everywhere.
Me:32 DH:45 DSD: 20 DSS: 18 Team green baby due: Aug 6th, 2018
@derbysquirrel Neat about the color change. Mine are still pink, maybe a darker pink though. Still no line on my belly yet though. I'm so fair skinned, I wonder how much of a color change I'll have. heh
I need to find another lotion. I didn't realize this bottle of "plain" Aveeno had "dimethicone" as a primary ingredient. I felt "moist and sticky" anywhere lotioned skin touched lotioned skin all night in bed last night, because it never soaked in or evaporated. I just want to have a tantrum because I thought I finally found an inexpensive oil-free, fragrance-free lotion. *stomps around*
So last time I found that lotion did no good to relieve the itchy dry skin and I started oiling my belly and legs every day. I haven't felt the need yet, but I'm sure I will. Took me a few tries to find an oil that the smell didn't drive me crazy all day and that didn't leave grease marks on clothing. I liked this one from Target: https://www.target.com/p/j-r-watkins-lavender-body-oil-mist-5-oz/-/A-21562790#lnk=sametab
I also recommend cetaphil or CeraVe lotion and soaps for dry skin. I had it really bad with my first pregnancy and that helped. I must be the odd ball out in the world because coconut oil dries my skin out more. It's fine for my nips while bf but otherwise....no thank you.
I never got the linea negra it kind of bummed me out.
My boobs recently decided to go to their breastfeeding size and hurt like hell. My lactation consultant said since it hasn't been long since I stopped breastfeeding my body is basically prepped to bf right now. Great. Because this hurts.
I’ve been dealing with dry skin, too. But I notice it’s worse after DS’s swimming lessons. It’s a salt water/chlorine mix pool, so that probably is it. I think I just need to start bringing lotion with me to put on before I get dressed.
Thankfully my sciatica is a lot better today. Still painful, but not crippling. Hopefully the stretches are helping and I can manage this with my planned Tri-weekly chiro appointments. But I’ll call her this week if I don’t continue to improve. For someone that didn’t get an epidural for my first birth, I sure am a wimp with pain. I attribute it to my endurance in running. I need pain with an end goal. Sciatica isn’t bringing me my baby!
@Firemanswife11 I'm right there with you with the boobs hurting again! And with them being a B cup now. They feel huge because my normal is an A I laugh because my husband acts like they are HUGE right now and I'm just filling out a B. Oh well.
Ive had a hard time feeling like I can empty my bladder fully. I know it's not a uti I was just checked, I think it has more to do with the baby pushing on me? like the flow is slower for some reason, anyone else?
+1 for nipple pain. They are so sensitive and my boobs are giant.
My MS is getting better and I have a bit more energy, so yay!! I hope the nesting instinct kicks in soon because my house could use a deep clean. lol.
@missybutler94 same with the peeing. I have to sit for an extra minute or so and try to relax it out. It’s a pain.
@neeraja_k have you tried Palmer’s brand lotion? I’m the same, I can’t stand a lotion that doesn’t soak in and Palmer’s soaks in well. I also love Perfectly Posh lotions (it’s a direct sales company) but they aren’t cheap.
I'm 15+3 today and I just got sick. When is this crap going to end? I was good for 10 days so I decided to try not taking diclegis again. Guess I'm never getting off that stuff.
I'm 15 weeks right now. My breasts aren't sore or noticably bigger to me or my husband but we've both noticed nipple changes. They're uncomfortably sensitive, they look wider (nipple not areola) & theyre "pointier" according to DH.
I have itchy skin all over which I soothe with cocoa butter lotion.
I get RLP when sneezing too and sometimes moving/twisting the wrong way and it feels like I've been stabbed.
I have had a couple strong Braxton Hicks which surprised me because I'm a FTM and it seems early to experience that. No pain or spotting but both times the strong, easily noticable ones happened first thing in the morning when I was laying on my back and really had to pee, so I think that triggered it. I still do things like go jogging & walking (I alternate) and recently helped move us from MI to SC but that hasn't triggered any contractions/spotting/pain & I get at least 8+ hours of sleep + naps since I'm not working. I don't think it's from anything too bad such as sleep deprivation, dehydration or exertion.
My nose has also been plagued with constant unprovoked stuffiness
So far not the worst symptoms, just irritating ones. I'm thankful I haven't been hit too hard with MS & definitely thankful heartburn hasn't kicked in because I've been craving cheesy, greasy burgers & spicy food!
My boobs were good for a couple weeks, and now they are super tender again. Also, RLP and the stretching is still in full force. I thought my body would be like ‘okay, we’ve done this before, NBD, we will stretch out again’... nope!
+1 to dry, itchy skin and achey gigantic boobs. My fingers are crossed that once winter is FINALLY over that the dry skin will be better.
I've also been getting the weird tightening / pulling sensation in my lower belly. At first I thought it was just gas (because everything is gas lol!) but after reading what others have wrote I'm guessing totally normal for this stage? I've got an appt on the 26th so will probably bring it up then.
17 weeks tomorrow. My boobs have been itchy, I just thought to google it now and realized the skin is probably dry from stretching out, duh, I should be putting lotion on them I think.
A bit of RLP when I turn over in bed too quickly or things like that. Still nauseous sometimes (wtf seems late even for me, the other two the nausea was done by 16 weeks I would say).
The bump still looks like it could be just out of shape or pregnancy, and also I am not feeling kicks that consistently. I hate that it's just over 2 more weeks till my A/S, I hope it comes quickly or that she starts kicking more before then.
