After the appointment today, the midwife said everything looks good, the girls are moving well and passed their biophysical. Because one of the babies feels liked she dropped we finished getting our fo bags ready. Baby A is back to being breech, but they still flip randomly so that could still change, lol. We are now scheduled for the girls to be born March 15 (beware the Ides of March! Lol) if I don't go into labor on my own. We are reserving deciding if it will be a section or vaginal until day of to see if A goes head down.

@momma6angels11 I think it’s great you are toughing it out with the pumping...definitely not easy. Keep it up!! They eat every 2.5 hours give or take an hour. Baby girl has been steadily gaining about 2oz a day since we left the hospital...I can’t remember exactly how much both of them dropped after they were born (I know boy lost more than our girl) but I believe the dr said at our appt last week baby boy was 6lbs 10oz and baby girl was 6lbs 7oz. Baby boy lost about a lb (I think he was 5lbs 4oz) after birth and I think they told me baby girl lost 8 percent (I think she was 4lbs 11oz when we left the hospital)...they gave me so many different weights during our stay I don’t remember what their lowest was. But ultimately, if the pediatrician says they are good and we can limit bottles to two a day for the boy, then I’m happy with that
Hi guys! Good to see everyone here is doing well. I had a horrifying birth experience and some limited NICU time, but we are all doing well now and finally home. I updated in the birth announcement thread too, but in case not all of you frequent the rest of this board, my little dudes were born on 2/22 at 4 pound 7 ounces and 4 pound 3 ounces and we are all very happy to be home now.
@vflux33 I'm sorry to hear your birth experience wasn't good But your boys are beautiful! Glad you are all home

@vflux I am so sorry your delivery was so bad and i was worried about you and checked on here almost everyday to see if you had updated. Your boys are very handsome! I see that pictures DON'T give them any justice as they look bigger than they actually are.. @mnddnvn I hope your induction went well and babies are here and all of you are doing great! I cant wait to see your update!! As for my little ones they both actually were the same weight today (6lbs 5.5oz) and dont go back till their 2 month check up which will be a month or so.
Thanks! Yeah our babies are SGA but near term so they look like regular babies but just way smaller—like dolls- they’re not technically premies but we have to feed them and treat them as if they are according to the NICU staff. But when people usually think of small babies they are imagining premies in their head and premies don’t look like these guys.
After 7 weeks of bedrest, we welcomed our two babies on March 2nd at 38 weeks after a scheduled induction. Baby boy: 6lbs 7oz 20 inches at 11:22am and Baby girl: 5lbs 8 oz 19 inches at 12:44pm. Everyone is doing great!
@momma6angels11 I’m doing good! So glad I was able to go vaginal. My older DD was 8 lbs so I think she really ‘paved the way’ for these two to come out relatively easily, all things considered.
@mnddnvn Were both babies head down? I'm hoping for vaginal (my DS was almost 10 lbs) but Baby B is breech. My doctor is confident in doing a breech extraction but I'm really nervous. And he still won't give me an induction date!
@Gingham Both babies were head down and my doctor wasn’t willing to deliver vaginally without that but I know some are trained to do it. Sounds like your doctor is up for it but agree that sounds daunting.
Fingers crossed for you to get your induction date soon!
@Gingham my OB is willing to do a vaginal birth if only A is head down as well. He said if nothing else they can flip B after A is born and 'out of the way'. Both of my girls are breech right now (37+2) so I'm likely looking at a C-Section right now since they are less likely to flip at this point.

@Gingham lurking. My mom in law gave birth to twins with baby B being breech about 17 years ago. Hope you’ll get your vaginal delivery even if baby b doesn’t flip. Good luck!
@Gingham Mine were both head down, but FWIW my OB said breech extractions are actually easier on the mom because if both are head down you have to wait for B to descend, which can sometimes take an hour or more, whereas if B is breech they just grab his or her legs and get B out within minutes.
Had my MFM appointment today, both girls are head down!!! They were both breech on Tuesday and decided to just flip over B is being labeled as head down even though she's kind of oblique. She head down, but her feet are by A's head, lol. She's kind of folded herself in half. And both girls got another growth spurt and are in the 5lb range, so excited for how they are doing and can't wait to meet then soon. I'm officially scheduled for induction/C-section on March 15th

@momma6angels11 they are so cute!!! I have some....we were able to look at our newborn photos and purchase them but the photographer is doing some further editing. She gave us this sneak peak on her instagram-
This is just after Harrison pee’d and before Charlotte pooped....newborn photo sessions are quite the experience
@awolfff That picture is so precious! I love it.. we actually had their pictures booked with our regular photographer, but she got the flu and so we found someone else to do it and they turned outjust not how I had in mind; but I was so looking forward to the photos like yours. Yeah our boy didnt want nothing to do with pictures for the first hour. It was definitely an experience..lol longest session ever..
Thanks ladies! We are pretty smitten over the photos
@momma6angels11 that’s a bummer! I like the ones you shared! Especially the ones with your oldest and the babies.
We were disappointed with the newborn photos of our oldest...they actually weren’t newborn photos really—he was born 3 weeks early and the photographer wouldn’t move up the session to accommodate...so he was a month old in his “newborn” photos. This time we scheduled a session with a photographer who only does newborns. Glad we did..it’s nice to have pictures of them when they are fresh and snuggly still!
@momma6angels11 They are so precious!!!! @awolfff I love the little smile Seeing your guys' pictures makes me even more excited for the girls to be born I don't know if we'll do any newborn photos just because of the cost, but I really want some now, lol!

@amanning2011 you should!! Not sure if there is a picture people or J.C. Penney near you, but I know they both do newborn sessions for a reasonable price. Picture people always have deals on Groupon and J.C. Penney currently has a promotion going for 40% off (https://www.jcpportraits.com/offers/portrait-studio-offers). Otherwise highly recommend setting time aside when yours are born to take photos yourself. I am pretty regretful about not having that many newbie shots of my oldest.
So excited for you and all the pregnant moms! Not only for meeting your little ones face to face but to be done with the pregnancy aches and pains too! May your labor be fast and you and babies be strong and healthy
@awolfff Thank you for the coupon I'll look into them, I wonder if there's one near me who has done pictures for multiples before.
I'm kind of excited in a weird geeky way, lol. I ordered my own hospital gown to wear while I'm recovering and it got here today! It has sushi on the front because I miss sushi so much! I think that's what I want for my first real meal after the girls are born, lol.

What is everyone doing for feeding? I’m trying to exclusively BF with S&S supplementing with pumped breast milk to help the babies get back to their birth weights. But I’m feeling discouraged as it’s so time consuming and just doesn’t feel sustainable, especially once DH goes back to work. What is everyone else doing? Is anyone exclusively pumping and using bottles? Or mixing bottles with BFing?
@mnddnvn sns is tough! I did that in the hospital with help from the nurses. Once I got home all that went down the drain. At home I nursed then my husband would bottle feed while I nursed the other one and once both were done nursing, I pumped. I did this until both got to or exceeded their birth weight. Now, I nurse both and pump whenever I can (usually about 3-4 times a day or whatever is manageable). I give the green light for my husband to give one a bottle whenever im feeling overwhelmed or totally depleted. The bottles have been a mix— sometimes formula sometimes breast milk.
@mnddnvn I have yet to successfully nurse, and honestly can't try very often because we have orders to fortify the breastmilk with similac in order to make it 24 cal/ml instead of 22 to help the boys catch up to other non IUGR babies of their age. So I am pumping basically constantly and bottle feeding for now. I'm still establishing a supply and as of now am making enough to cover all but one feeding per day per baby, and then we use the 24 calorie preemie similac formula for the last feeding. I'm still going to try to nurse, but the main goal now is to beef them up so I'm worried by the time I don't have to fortify the milk it will be too late to establish that. But we'll see. I hate pumping this much, but I like knowing how much they are getting and I like that MH can help with feedings.
@mnddnvn I am exclusively pumping and bottle feeding with breastmilk and neosure. I still dont pump enough to give them straight bm but im getting closer!!
