@runsomewhere thinking of you! I was the same before my elective us last Friday. I feel overall very good and had minimal symptoms so I always think something is wrong and then the baby is inevitably minding his own business swimming around...
@busymommy23 curious why you have to take the chewable? I take it too, but just swallow a teeny tiny little pill.
We hired a house cleaner today!!! I am kind of freaking out because it's another expense, but I am seriously losing my sanity over the state of our house and I think it will be worth it. She is one of my husband's part time employees at his restaurant and speaks zero English, but she is really sweet and insisted on doing our dishes for free when she came to give us the estimate. Also, you know your house is really bad when you can tell, without even being able to verbally communicate, that the cleaning lady was appalled by the state of your house
Re: stretch marks, I don't have any but that's because I never had major weight loss or gain. I drink water, take collagen in my smoothies, use coconut oil in the shower and two different lotions (I alternate them) every night. I have no expectations that I will miraculously have none, but I'm doing what I can to prevent it- unlike flossing (gasp!) This is a routine I'm having no trouble following. Edit: spelling
@Sarafuss I have a city select and a keyfit .. purchased them like 4 years ago so older models but I imagine they still have an adapter, chicco is a pretty common brand.
That would be a nice treat for him @smashjam! and it doesn't hurt that you get some in the process Blue bell makes a king cake flavor as well, if you have that in your area. It isn't bad at all.
I have a cardiologist appointment in an hour and my husband is working late and can’t go with me as planned. I’m pretty nervous and have no idea what to expect....
Is it thankful Tuesday? I'm thankful that @acunamatada and her son were okay after what looks like a terrifying accident (even if she's now a little sore).
Also thankful that my son ended up qualifying for speech language therapy today. It's a relief to me that WE can get help getting him up to where he needs to be. He's wicked smart, which they saw, just has trouble with language. He'll be 2 yrs old in less than two weeks!
And thankful that after last night's crap stomach, I felt well enough today to hit the gym and make dinner tonight. Yum!
@stlmegs thank you! We're thinking it's a girl, and very eager to find out. I don't know how I'm going to restrain from peaking in the envelope or whatever they give us tomorrow. I'll update everyone with a picture on Saturday.
This morning when leaving my DD's school after drop off I realized that I fixed her hair TWICE this morning (after she pulled her pigtails half out on the way to school) but forgot to fix mine at all. And it was a disaster.
THEN I forgot when I got home too and ran errands at lunch. Hahahahahaha
@gspmom21 just glucose and heartbeat unfortunately! But I’ll get to schedule my anatomy scan which makes me giddy. So only 4 more weeks till I get to see baby again! I’ll be anxiously awaiting saturday to find out what you’re having!
@paytonpedro FX all goes well! I’ll be thinking of you!
@flockofmoosen3 I’m glad your son will be able to get some help! Happy news!
@wildtot you could go to galveston and pretend to be in Hawaii... just try not to get flesh eating bacteria oh how I love Houston.
Seriously though, we have great food here. So if nothing else, research out some great restaurants and treat yourself to 5 extra lbs. It will be worth it!
Relaxing in the tub and started feeling the little sea monkey rolling around! I love this part
@busymommy23 have you tried crushing it and mixing it into orange juice? It doesn’t dissolve the best but that’s how I get kids to take it at work (they get massive doses of ASA if they have Kawasaki disease)
@paytonpedro I hope your cardio appointment went well!
I've been trying to catch up on reading how everyone is doing! Good luck at everyone's upcoming appointments. I saw my new ob today and she said it may take a month to get into my new perinatologist to get my anatomy scan.. Boo. On a positive note, I feel the baby moving, I heard the heartbeat, and I got my old job back with more hours and slightly better pay. I start back on Monday.
@zande2016 MFM said because they are labeling me prepregnancy diabetic that it will help to keep off preeclamsia or if I do get it, i will get it later. So they told me to staet taking 1 per day.

Woot-woot!! Go @hayhay93!!!! So glad to hear the transition is going well so far! I'd say it's pretty normal to take a while to get into see a MFM. That should still put you in a good timeframe window for the anatomy scan though
my mom just visited Paris and london when she took her study abroad studenta there this month ( she is a college professor) and brought back my daughter the cutest dollie from Paris and the box is adorable! I love her thoughtfulness! sorry if massive im on mobile
@hayhay93 yay for you! Sound like things are good (minus the one month for the anatomy scan part!).
I asked DH not to drink the beer in the fridge because i wanted to take it with us to superbowl (we spent $30 on two 4 packs saturdau). There was one 4 pack left today and he's on the last one now. He got mad at me while he was drinking his first and I feel like he drank the rest just to be a dick then spent the night asking me what was wrong, knowing I was pissed. He also knows o won T not bring alcohol to a party bc it's a dick move so he'll still get more beer Saturday. I'm annoyed bc we blew our budget so he could buy beer Saturday at the brewery and now we have to buy more beer, probably another $30, in 9 days. That s $60 on beer bought and drank in 9 days. Dick.
@wildtot DH and I turned 30 at the same time (11 days apart) and we went to Vegas for 3 nights. It was awesome even though I couldn't drink. So much amazing food! If you can't swing a trip, I would plan a spa day and have dinner out.

@HayHay93 yay, welcome back to Cali! Glad things are going well! @lindsayleigh1989 what a cute gift, and from France nonetheless. @paytonpedro what did they say at the appointment?
I have my last quarterly business review today so this month of data from hell is finally over!!! Excited to get back to my usual tasks and hopefully get on with my registry!
@wildtot I need some ideas too! I turn 30 early April (when I will be entering 3rd tri with twins)...feel like I won't be up for much at that point but feel like I should do something, you know? Let me know what you come up with!
@devilcat139 yeah I’ll be just shy of third tri and feel like I’ll be huge by then lol so maybe not too much walking. I have to check out what Colorado Springs has maybe do a day trip. Wouldn’t feel comfortable with an overnight thing and leaving DS behind. Let me know if you think of something too!
@wildtot I turn the big 3-0 this weekend! We were initially planning to just have some friends over for the super bowl, but decided to take a last minute trip to Florida! We are going for the week! I don't have other kids to worry about yet though...
Any one have recommendations for what to do in the Orlando area while pregnant? I know we will do beach days and pool days, but open to other recommendations too!

@MrsMiller8588 I feel like Epcot would be AMAZING while pregnant (as long as you don't have serious food aversions/nausea!) So much good food and it's a great walking park!
@nimmle and @samjjorgensen we thought about Disney/Epcot but I didn't think it would be worth it for the price? I've never been to Epcot and only been to magic kingdom once (18 years ago). Probably an UO but I've never had a great desire to go as an adult. I love universal though.. but will be avoiding that this trip since i can't do the rides...
