: Well I’m sitting here at the surgery center just waiting to be called in! Here we go.  The doctor said I shouldn’t be in too much pain afterward but I’m still a little nervous about it.

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: When was your first kiss???
We were latch key kids so after school out we would go home and wait for our mom. She was home by 430. We had a big group a kids in our neighborhood growing up, mainly boys. I was in 5th grade when we all started playing 7 minutes in Heaven in our upstairs closet. I look back now and realize what babies we were!!! Ahah Im still in touch with most of those boys to this day via social media. Occasionally we’ll laugh about it! One time me and one if the boys were making out under a blanket on the couch when we head the door handle giggling IT WAS MY MOM!!! She was like WHAT WERE YOU TWO DOING!!!???!?   :D:D:D:D

What are you thankful for this week?
I’m thankful for my awesome H who works so hard and makes sure I’m always taken care of and even though he’s ridiculously busy with work  he took the day off the be at my beckon call!

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?):  PNV, vit C, vit D, fish oil, ubiquinol

    Rants/Raves
:  I taught a 4 yo violin this morning - it's adorable.  A tiny little violin.  His dad wants to learn too so they both had lessons this morning.  Oh and we got the hamster which our puppy would just love to play with.  Our daughter loves him.  We put him in the ball last night and watched him go around our house.

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: When was your first kiss???
I was in 2nd grade and we were reading on the rugs in class and one of my friends pushed my face against a boys cheek.  But my first real kiss was in 9th grade with a boy that was in my orchestra class.  I really liked him as a friend but he asked me on dates and I was just grossed out by kissing boys in high school.

What are you thankful for this week?
the little bit of warmer weather we are having.  Nice not to not feel my face while walking outside.

    Rants/Raves
: Not being able to plan anything to do with IVF, including pre-scheduling appointments. Think I just entered the hormonal breakdown stage of this process.

GTKY: When was your first kiss??? I think was in
kindergarten, but real kiss was a neighbor.

What are you thankful for this week?
My husband for always checking in on me and being there. Plus all my new go's I met at my clinic that are a hormonal mess as well. Makes me feel somewhat sane lol

@ndz2018 Hope everything today went well for you!!!

@vlagrl29 Same here! Thank goodness for warmer weather! Where are you located?

  • I'm in Kansas City @kristimh80 going to be mild all week.

  • I'm so sorry everyone, been MIA for a few weeks, we were traveling for the holidays with spotty or no wifi access and the my almost 3yo DS had a grand mal seizure (while napping, while we were home alone), which was super scary, but he has recovered well, we have an EEG next week, which was put on hold because of a Disney vacation we planned 7 months ago! But DS has been good since our ER visit and is enjoying our trip, thankfully!!

I've tired several times to come post here, but it's so annoying to do from my phone (don't have the app installed). But it looks like I'll be leaving you now... because:

Status (WTO/TWW/Benched/in process of testing or treatment)
: Umm. BFP, yesterday. Totally unexpected, we were only able to BD once because I got a UTI, but I think I O'd earlier than usual and apparently it worked out...  I'm still in disbelief. And here we are, in Disney, with morning sickness.

CD, CD/DPO (if applicable): got BFP on CD 34.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment? Vitamins/supplements?): Took Femara, vit C & D, folic acid, B12 shot and  did acupuncture.

    Rants/Raves
: now comes the nervous time, I've had a loss in the past, maybe more than one, so we'll have to see. But OB wants to check my progesterone next week when we get back. I'm going to miss you guys here though and hope you will be joining me on the next board soon! <3

GTKY: When was your first kiss???
7th grade I think, weird though, kissed a boy with braces. I was super shy until my senior year in high school for dating though.

What are you thankful for this week?
Everything. So thankful my little boy is okay, as far as I know. Thankful we could take this trip to Disney and kind of get my mind off the scary episode we had. But thinking about that EEG in the back of my mind, but thankful all the doctors were good with us going to Disney. Thankful for the support of you other ladies during this whole TTC process! And for my DH having to put up with a nervous wreck of a wife!

  • @mdogan29- Congrats on the BFP!!  sorry for all the stress with your kid but I'm glad he is ok and how much fun disney would be.  We are planning on going last week of August.  Haven't told DD yet but we do want to surprise her.  She will freak!

  • Hey guys!! So surgery couldn’t have gone better the doctor told H. Problem was when I woke up from the anesthesia I got really sick! From the moment I opened my eyes I begin throwing up went all day till about 4pm. It was horrible! The pain was totally doable! Initially when I first Woke up I had intense pain but it subsided after pretty quickly after the pain meds and was more like bad menstal cramps than anything else. Heating pad helped, but the nausea was horrid! I used to suffer from Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome and it was the only this I can Compare it to. During those episodes I’d be puking for 6 days none stop, no eating, drinking water nada. Many many trips to ER during those episodes. I’d go into the ER and they’d automatically profile me as a drugged addict when i was clearly not. I told Them to drug test me and Look at my arms no track marks. It was a really tough to diagnose but after changing my diet and meds I did Much better and haven’t had an episode in over a year now but yesterday it exactly what it felt like. H wanted to take me to the ER around 3 yesterday but I told Him no Bc they weren’t going to do much and by 4 I could keep down water, then tea and finally some soup. Today Im a little crampy but Advil is working for the most part.
  • @mdogan29 OMG CONGRATS!!!! That’s awesome! So happy for you!!! Sorry for the stress from DS that’s got to be rough. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months! Hopefully we’ll all meet you over on the first trimester board  :)
  • yea! glad it all went well minus the puking @ndz2018 - have you ever been put under before?  I know it can make some people sick.
    Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
  • @vlagrl29 yes i’ve been under anesthesia more times than i can count but usually the twilight kind. This was like surgery anesthesia with a mask and iv meds much more hard core than say what they give you for an egg retrieval. One time this happened when I had My kidney stones blasted i was really nauseous afterward but didn’t throw up like that. All better now thankfully!
  • @ndz2018 Omg so glad you are feeling better!!!

    im glad your doing better
@ndz2018 last surgery I had was for a hernia repair. No nausea for me thank goodness.

  • @kristimh80 Well I think I may Have had a slight case of OHSS. Since I had 29 eggs retrieved and my estrogen was over 6000!!! Which is HIGH! The more eggs you retrieve the more likely you’ll feel icky for a few days. Luckily my ER fell on the Friday of NYE so I had Off till that Tue. I felt really shitty for about 2 days by day 3 i started feeling better. HOWEVER my SIL was fine after hers, she went back to work after a day. Also my best friend was fine with hers too! So I guess it All depends on person. How far into Stims are you?
  • @ndz2018 Great to know! I'm on Day 3 of Stims. Course taking Thurs 2/1 off which is possible day of ER, but I know that can always change! I'll be off until the following Tuesday, so guess if lands that weekend, it'll still be fine. I like to prepare, so not being able to drives me crazy!

: So excited I got my Bon Jovi Tixs for May and my friend had connections so we got seats right near the stage!!!!

    Questions for the group:

GTKY: When was your first kiss??? 2nd grade I had a crush on one if my classmates and a friend dared me to go up and kiss him I ran up and kissed him on the cheek in front of the whole class and the teacher. First real kiss was 10th grade with a boy that lived down the street from me.

What are you thankful for this week? That my mindset is back to focusing in me and I'm at peace with not doing anymore fertility treatments.

@ndz2018 glad surgery went well and your feeling better.

@vlagrl29 I think you need to post a picture of that cute little hampster. I had them growing up.

@mdogan29 congrats on your BFP hope you have a healthy and smooth 9 months.
  • @Labluver2 Bon Jovi sounds like so much fun!! I think our next concert is going to be Jack Johnson. There's a lot of great old school bands touring this year!

  • @kristimh80 I haven't missed a show and have been going since I was 13 this is prob 19 or 20 I've been too!!! He puts on an amazing show. Last year he came and I said I thought he was off and it turned out he had broncitis starting. I was happy that he was coming back this year for an anniversary show.
  • @labluver2 - I'll try and post one later.  We need to find a better cage.  The last 3 nights he has escaped his cage in our DDs bedroom.

  • @vlagrl29 oh those were the days mine was always getting out. I found a fish tank with a lid worked the best and just put a wheel in and the exercise ball instead of the plastic tubs. I would also put something heavy on the top. I would take the wheel out at night bc they would keep me up all night running on it. I have rabbits now two of them. My lop is super cuddly. His name is Cheddar

omg what a cute rabbit!! @labluver2 - I guess DH was up last night looking on amazon and found a cage that he thinks will work better for it.  We have 2 dogs so it's not a good idea if a hamster gets out.  Our puppy is fascinated by him.

Oh and BTW the last 2 months I had that small spotting when implantation would be then it would stop before AF comes.  That's not happening this month thank god.  I have no idea what all that was about.
