Ooh that's an interesting flavor @nimmle! So happy my appetite is finally starting to come back. I can't believe I haven't had any ice cream this pregnancy yet. I ate so much last time, my doctor told me I needed to cool it on the desserts. Pashaa! I went home and had extra. You can't tell a preggo not to eat that! It's one of the best parts of being pregnant!
@Kenya715 It was sooo good. I was out with some friends and we were getting ready to leave when one of them said the magic phrase "I think I want ice cream". I looked at her and said "you can't say ice cream around a pregnant lady and not go." Clearly it was a wonderful decision.
Slight confession. I accidentally spilled half of my oatmeal on the counter at work. I quickly scooped up some of it and ate it. Also I rarely wash the berries I put in it. I was just so hungry I couldn't help it. I have no back up.
The picture that I got from my ultrasound yesterday sucks. The tech did not seem interested in getting a better pic. Now I only have a pic of a little alien to show everyone. LOL.

@leesa-lee bummer that sucks! Although I think those alien pics are pretty funny (and cute). It was the first pic i shared with DH & Sister and they were like "what is that?!" haha
@leesa-lee at my first ultrasound (around 7w) the tech didn't even offer and I forgot to ask and at the second (around 9w) I asked and she gave me something that looked like a thanksgiving turkey. I didn't even post it lol. I'm not looking forward to what she gives us at the NT tomorrow (13w, which we are planning on using to announce on FB). Hopefully it looks human

I shared the pic via text with my 8 year old daughter, and she responded, "it looks funny." I could do nothing but laugh because it was cute.

I hope that the tech gives you a great picture. My baby seemed to be facing forward so instead of seeing the profile of the face, you would see the eye sockets, and the full shape of my baby's head. It looks just like an alien. To top it all off, my baby's legs were crossed, so no gender reveal for me yet.
Btw, I just worked up the courage to post the ultrasound pic on FB.

I tried the new blonde espresso at Starbucks this morning in my favorite treat (Triple Grande Caramel Macchiato). I'm fitting a few in before I probably fail my glucose test on Monday. Holy crap, it was sooo good! I wasn't expecting it to taste much different but it was so smooth.

@Sarafuss - I didn't even know that was a thing and now I want to go to Starbucks badly!!!! Tell me more about what a triple is - extra espresso? Extra caramel? I like to get my caramel macchiato upside down so that the syrup is on top and floats down instead of *super* sweet at the end.
I'm telling my boss in 10 minutes about my pregnany. I don't know why but I'm SUPER nervous. I'm in a period of flux right now where our VP (his boss) is trying to put together a new position for me with a different director under her and we all know about it. But my current boss is super friendly supportive of family/work balance so I think he'll have good advice about when to tell her (who isn't) and can help me with HR.
@MichelleAG05 Thinking of you and hoping it goes well! I'm also in a situation of some change, which has put me a little on edge, as well. I just got a new boss at work and we had our first check in last week, so I'm going to tell her next week. I have wanted to wait until some work assignments settle down so that things are more set before I share my news, but I also don't want them to feel like I didn't give them a chance to take this into account to some extent for planning.
@adventuresawait1 - unfortunately, I know just how you feel! I hope all goes well for you! My boss just messaged me that he's not free until 10:15. So here I wait.
But Ya'll. You're the only ones who will understand. I just went out to the freezer because I really wanted a frozen waffle with PB. Except when I opened the box I realized that I bought frozen pancakes instead of waffles. So, I'm having leftover wings instead.
@MichelleAG05 that's a good idea about getting the syrup on top! I'll have to ask for that next time. Do you literally say, "Can you put the syrup in last?" or... something else? I always feel like an idiot trying to order at Starbucks. Like I'm not saying their special code correctly. It took me forever to start saying a "Triple Grande Caramel Macchiato" which is just an extra shot of espresso. This time though, I just asked for it to be made with the blonde espresso. When I can't have all the sugar/calories I get a Flat White so I'm really excited to try the blonde espresso Flat White since it's probably even better.

@moguippy a bagel and cream cheese was my go to breakfast all through first tri because it helped with my nausea. My nausea is waning now and I'm still eating a bagel almost every day. Can't stop won't stop.
@Sarafuss - Just say "Upside Down"! A former employee taught me that. I would probably die if I had a triple - I typically get only 1 shot in a grande because the caffeine upsets my stomach. I've even tried to cut back on it more by getting 1/2 a shot during this pregnancy but I'll probably go back to the 1 shot now that I'm out of the first tri. My absolute favorite at Starbucks is the Chestnut Praline Latte, which is gone now. Boo hoo. I'm about 99% sure I'm picking up Starbucks after dropping DD off at school tomorrow.
@MichelleAG05 haha! Sometimes I need the extra caffeine. I only get a triple every once in a while though. I had a free drink today from star rewards in the app. So I get the expensive drink only when it's free lol. I usually only get a tall which is just one shot.

@MichelleAG05 when you order a caramel macchiato “upside down” you’re asking for the espresso to go in first, before the milk but after the vanilla syrup (normally it goes in last). The caramel drizzle is always last on top no matter how you order it. Former barista here!
@Sarafuss I have no idea what a blonde espresso is but I know what I’m ordering next!
@acunamatada oh good to know! I thought she meant the order was milk, espresso, syrup, then caramel drizzle. I assumed the regular order was syrup, milk, espresso, the caramel. Would ordering it upside down just make it a latte? I prefer having the espresso go in after the milk. I hope that made sense. I think I even confused myself.
And I'm assuming the blonde espresso is a lighter roast or something? I don't know but I loved it!

I forgot to bring up that I was told yesterday I would be delivering sometime between 32 and 39 weeks. Hoping for 39. But that technically makes me not a July mom since our due date is the 2nd. I don’t want to go somewhere else though! I like this group.
@hayhay93 Stay!! you won't be kicked out. Just curious if you deliver early, do they plan on giving you the shots for the baby's lungs? I remember having to do that with DS since I had pre-labor symptoms starting at 30 wks.
I literally just ordered some pants from Thredup, before checking out I had checked if I had received my refund for my recent order - nada. So I ordered anyways. About 5 mins later I get an email my refund has been processed with store credit....i guess i have to do more shopping now lol
@hayhay93 definitely stay! I was a September '16 mom but delivered August 19th. IMO doesn't matter when baby is born but you want to go through your pregnancy with ladies who are in the same stages as you.

can't stop, won't stop, DON'T STOP!
I'm living vicariously through your morning bagels. I usually have cereal bc I usually don't have my crap together to have time to stop for a bagel.
@hayhay93 definitely stay! you will still be the same(ish) amount of weeks as us, even if you deliver early. So you can commiserate when we all go through the same symptoms and have tests at the same times!
Someone at work brought in bagels for the people that participate in the football pool (which I don't). Normally I have no problem but today someone toasted their bagel in the breakroom and the warm toasty bagel smell permeated the air and now I realllllly want a bagel. Must have ALL the carbs!!
Seriously! @amylu914 Plain bagels with plain cream cheese kept me fed during first tri! I am still craving them! The only thing that might change is the flavor of bagel and cream cheese. During my last pregnancy I would get one sweet and one savory. I regret nothing.
I think I have ruined my child and he will never be potty trained. He's three! Luckily he is a December baby so there is time before he starts school but still!
@moguippy@amylu914 I ate so many bagels in my first trimester! So gooood. Now I feel like I need some meat in the mornings so I've turned to chicken sausage breakfast sandwiches.
I totally want the caramel drizzles too.
My random: we decided to do a gender reveal party. Nothing big and fancy, just close family and friends. My brother already commented that we should put on the invite: to celebrate the "birth gender of our child who may or may not end up keeping it because who knows what it will identify as when it is older". (I know he was joking) And my husbands friend said he'll be bringing "gender neutral well wishes". I've read how the gender reveal party might become outdated because of all the gender neutrality issues, which I'm totally OK with. Whatever gender our child decides to identify with we'll support, but dammit I want to be excited when we find out what he/she will be born as.
Do you all think the gender reveal party is lame?

Oooh, @acunamatada that's awesome - thanks for clarifying! I don't know if I can honestly say which I like better - the espresso on top or under. I think I would need to do a side by side taste test to confirm. LOL. I cannot stop thinking about what I want to order tomorrow with this new blonde espresso! I like my coffee sweet, but not overly so. For reference, at home I only use creamer, no sugar. Any recommendations @acunamatada ??
I agree with everyone else - stay! I was in the Feb bump board last time but my daughter was late and born in March. While it meant I was huge and jealous at all the birth announcements coming for 6-7 weeks before I finally had her, it was still nice! And even now (even though she's younger than most), I'm in a FB group with them because they're at least about the same age and can give me age-specific mom advice more readily than some of my local moms groups.
@rachelsogo I totally hear you! I work for an org that works really hard at making everything inclusive and I love and support all of it! And yet i wanted to celebrate finding out if our baby had a P or a V. We know that we will love and support our baby whatever gender identity they so chose but right now I want to celebrate that we are having another child with a penis. We will use boy until he decides otherwise.
@rachelsogo i think they are cute, but i just don't have the energy to do one haha.
The one thing that gets me though is hearing the word 'gender' (nothing against you for saying it), but why can't we just say 'sex' because that's' technically what it is we are finding out. Gender is determined later on. Are people really that scared to say the word 'sex'? Maybe "sex reveal" does sounds a bit weird...

I'm living vicariously through your morning bagels. I usually have cereal bc I usually don't have my crap together to have time to stop for a bagel.

AMH test came back at .081. Was going to move on to IVF with DE, but have decided not to. Will be leaving it up to the universe now.
