@helenbz yes, this is the "biggness" feeling I am starting to have. I thought there would be more time before I felt this uncomfortable. Part of my struggle is bloating though, I've tried everything to get relief but no significant improvement.
@helenbz I totally feel you on the heavy ute. I get that off and on. I don’t have much of a bump yet, but I do find myself having a tougher time doing certain stuff that requires bending like putting on my snow boots or certain moves in the gym.
@helenbz - Girl, I feel like my uterus suddenly realized a baby was in there and blew up like a balloon! Last week, no real problems bending over, getting up on a tall chair that took effort, etc. Yesterday, I thought I had a basketball in my pelvis.
Also, anyone else having hip/joint pain? My right hip hurts immensely when I'm on my feet a lot and/or getting up/down frequently. I'm going to invest in new shoes and possibly some good sole inserts, but has anyone had a massage or stretching or some other technique that worked to help relieve joint pain? I refuse to take acetaminophen every time my hip hurts.
@izza2 The hip pain is real over here. It honestly didn’t start until last night. I’ve been using my foam roller to try to relieve the muscle ache. I’ve also been doing a figure 4 stretch.
@LaceyBee522 - I'll have to try those, and invest in a foam roller! I finally bought a body pillow, and that helps keep me from waking up with any pain, so that's at least a little helpful. Thank you!
@izza2 yes! It started with DS. Since it was just my right hip and I still felt it mildly, here and there when not pregnant, I thought it was a pinched nerve from expanding joints. It'd stop me in my tracks and I literally couldn't move. But it's back, with both hips. She now I think it's sciatic pain. I just envisioned sciatica alil different. So not fun!!

@helenbz yes to the heavy in the pelvis feeling. For some reason I feel like it came sooner this time than last time but maybe I’m just not remembering correctly. It makes all my muscles and joints hurt, like I’ve been mountain biking up the steepest hill.
@izza2 yes to joint and sciatic nerve pain. It sucks. Laying down on one side or another usually relieves it for me, but I feel my joints popping in and out constantly which is both gross and annoying.
Anyone else craving their drinks to be like super cold? I’ve already turned the fridge down 2 degrees and I’m putting ice in everything. My husband just about died when he saw me put ice in my milk tonight But seriously, anything not ice cold makes me gag.
@lisa2589 yes!! Me too! I’ve been craving apples...but they have to have been in the fridge all night to be cold enough for me. I’ve been freezing fruits and veggies to make my smoothies cold enough too.
It’s winter in Alaska and I’m not sure what’s wrong with me haha!! Definitely getting some weird looks from hubby and coworkers
Ugh, add me into the weird discomfort. Yesterday/last night was so uncomfortable. I couldn't tell if I was experiencing BH's or not (FTM). It just all felt very full/heavy/pressure and I felt like I just wanted to clench everything in response so nothing slipped out. I felt like I was getting a lot of on/off pressure in my back, but couldn't determine whether it was like an involuntary contraction or just the stress of the ute sensations. Talk about an anxious night of some serious broken sleep. The only thing that calmed me enough to get some shut-eye was that it wasn't really getting painful or worse. I kept telling myself that maybe baby was having a growth spurt and everything is just stretching. I'm wondering if not having a BM recently could be contributing.
@silvergreen that sounds similar to what I get sometimes. full/heavy/tight. and sometimes my back muscles feel tightened up from it all. I related it all to BHs.

@catlady1215 Thank you! That's very reassuring. Do you know if it is normal for it to continue for long periods? I thought BH's only last for a minute or two and then go away? Or are they referring to the contractions themselves?
izza2 - yaaas to the hip pain. Mine hit like a ton of bricks last night. I did a ton of cleaning yesterday and lifting my 30 lb DD1 all weekend caught up with me. At bed time it hit...walking was tough. I could barely put weight on my right foot to walk without feeling my my hip was going to give in. Ugh. I need a new body pillow (on the to-do list for this week) but grabbed a reg pillow to put between my legs to try and level my hips out with my knees and that helped a lot
@izza2 I don't have hip pain now, but had to go to PT with DS. They said it was my internal rotator cuff and had me do Piriformis stretches, where you basically make a figure-four and lean forward for 20 seconds, and the side-lying clam , 3 reps of 20.
@silvergreen I'm not to sure how long is normal. I just kind of relax on the couch for the evening when I feel them start. When I do that I don't feel them as much so I never notice when it eases up.

Ugh +1 to @Austenista and anyone else with the vag pain/soreness. I had this the first time around, but not until the 3rd trimester. I am definitely not in great physical shape and I think I should do some pregnancy mat work to strengthen my pelvic floor. Freaks me out a bit. Triggers after I've been walking a lot but also sometimes when I'm sitting on the toilet. Great.
What I really came to say is OMG HEARTBURN. I literally cannot sleep or even nap. It is so painful and happens every time I lay down. Even with pillows to prop me up a bit. And this is just the beginning of the 2nd trimester; I'm only 19w1d. WTF am I going to do as the pregnancy progresses and space gets more and more limited in there?????
Okay so this morning when I was turning over in bed, I got a super sharp pain in my upper abdomen, just below my ribs. Happened several times and I've been out of bed for an hour and am still a little sore there when I twist around. Some googling has me worried about preeclampsia. I have an OB appointment next Thursday, so I'll probably just monitor it until then, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little concerned.

@Amphibious22 I did the same thing recently. Upper right quadrant pain, under my ribs, persistent too. Freaked myself out. My friend who had HELLP syndrome calmed me down a little bit by telling me her pain was so unbearable that she was laying on the floor, unable to get relief from the pain. Everyone is different but she gave me some peace of mind until it passed. Mine turned out to actually just be really bad gas pain. I've just never had gas that high but with all of our organs shifting, I guess it can make sense. Also with all of our ligaments being so loose, it's probably easy to twist ourselves wrong too. How's your blood pressure? Do you have a monitor at home? I take mine almost everyday because I get so nervous at the doctor (for no reason) that it usually ends up high so Im always paranoid if it's actually high, etc, etc. I hope yours turns out to be something simple too.
@amys614 that's reassuring. I've never had high blood pressure, but I am overweight so I know that puts me at higher risk. When it first happened it was super painful, but it faded away pretty quickly. I still feel it a little bit but hopefully since it's not awful, it's something minor.
