So, has anyone heard of these? I saw them on an article on facebook and ordered some on Amazon. I was pretty excited because I keep complaining how I need bigger underwear or something because babygirl is so low, undewear and anything touching my stomach drives me crazy, especially when I'm sitting. These are "under the bump" undewear! Come on Thursday! (that's when they'll be here, lol).
@psuxray07 those are nice! I also carry low. But I - ahem - am not a thin person, so I have a bit of a jiggly non-baby belly below my baby belly....so I usually like to pull my underwear/pants up over that to suck it all in. So not sure that would work for me :P
Question - anyone have PCOS/has fertility issues and successfully breastfed? My midwife told me that I may have supply issues due to my hormone imbalances and I’ve been doing some research and it seems this is common. I have really small boobs that are disproportionate to my body. I’ve also had no boob changes this pregnancy...no tenderness or pain, still the same size, look the same....I’m scRed that my body isn’t knowing what to do to “prepare” for BFing, and I’m super committed and wanting to EBF!

@vintageandrea90 I'm not thin either, lol. I just saw they had a ton of good reviews and have a big size range. It seems like it's something you wouldn't really feel. I know what you mean though!
@babyclarke429 I know, right?? Will do! I'm hoping they're as good as all the reviews! I'm tired of my undz feeling tight and also rolling down in the front, lol.
Super random: I’ve mentioned before that we have chickens. We got them this past spring and it’s been a surprisingly fun/addictive hobby. With all this cold and being stuck indoors, DH and I started dreaming of spring and how we can add to our flock. We ended up researching breeders and put a deposit down for three chicks that, once mature, lay blue eggs! I’m pretty pumped about it.
They’ll hatch at the beginning of March and they have to live in a special box in our hallway under a heat lamp for about 8 weeks — which means we’ll have a newborn, a 1.5 year old, a barely-three year old, two dogs, a cat and three baby chicks in the house all at once Why not just add to the crazy, right?!
@vintageandrea90 I have PCOS and successfully breastfed my son for a little over a year and seemed to make enough for him until the end when I just wasn't producing enough.

Chickens are stupid addictive . I have breeds that lay chocolate color, blue color, olive color, and regular brown. I still mull over new breeds to add to the flock because I am addicted to the rainbow.
What breeds did you order? My best blue layers are my Creme Legbars. They aren't terribly friendly, but they have been productive and lay a very pretty sky blue.
Speaking of underwear... I saw someone post about this Bra by belibea on a FB breastfeeding page I follow. A lot of women were saying that it is pretty amazing especially for working moms who pump at work. Not sure if anyone here has one or something similar? I am highly considering it at the moment.
@vintageandrea90 I have suspected pcos. I struggled with infertility for over 15 years. Made some serious life changes with diet and exercise and for the first time in my life had a regular cycle. I got pregnant for the first time in 2015.
I wish someone had warned me that breastfeeding may be challenging. I truly wanted to ebf my son. I made very little milk, at the highest maybe 3 oz a day. I had no breast changes during pregnancy. Could wear the same bra before pregnancy, during and after.
If you are on fb and have a low supply there is a really awesome group you can join. Joining that group and realizing I was not alone in my supply issues helped a lot. But breast feeding my son truly a very hard and heart breaking experience. I feel a lot of guilt about his first few months. I know I'm better prepared this time around but I'm still worried about it.
@ngolimento I wish we had thought about egg color rather than “pretty” chickens when we started our flock! All we have right now are Rhode Island Reds, Black Australorps, Barred Rocks and Columbian Wyandottes — which all lay brown eggs. We ordered three Ameraucanas for March, and if we pull the trigger on another coop, we’ll think about adding some Welsummers and others that have interesting eggs. Maybe some Olive Eggers?
@JJMNO1616 I don’t have that exact bra, but yes, bras that let you pump hands-free are a LIFESAVER. And I’ll add they’re not just useful for moms that work outside the home, but for anyone, really. I pump around the clock the first few weeks/months, and there’s no way I could juggle taking care of other kids AND pumping if pumping took both hands. Highly recommend hands-free pumping!

For sure! I was initially planning to get one like this:
But this won't really work for me when I am not at home... or at least it will be really inconvenient. So even though the previous bra is more expensive I think it will be more worth the money because I can wear it as a normal bra when I am not pumping/feeding as well.
@JJMNO1616 I had one like the second one you mentioned and barely used it. I will absolutely be investing in the first one this time! Looks like a serious game changer!

I do not have fertility issues, but I do have small boobs, barely a B cup. I also had no changes what so ever in size, tenderness, look with my first pregnancy (or this one either). I had no supply issues what so ever and exclusively breast fed my son until he self weaned at 15 months. Nice thing about little boobies is after I dried up my boobs looked just the same as before (except my nips being a little bigger from nursing). Not saggy in the least. Hope your body cooperates so you can nurse your little.

@JJMNO1616 ohhhh I totally get what you’re saying now. Yeah, I’m comparison to the first one, the second bra would be waaaay more convenient for working moms!
@psuxray07@vintageandrea90@babyclarke429 About 3 weeks ago I invested in new underwear I was tired of my regular ones feeling tight and rolling down. These are the ones I got from motherhood maternity and have been very happy so far.
I wear them up over my belly and they stay put but I dont feel like they are constricting. I think they can also be worn rolled down and under your belly. I was also not skinny prepregnancy.
@JJMNO1616 I bought one similar to that and highly recommend that route. Anything that gives you the ability to handsfree pump is amazing, especially when working. As a working momma, I also liked to use my pumping sessions to power nap. Those first few weeks back can be brutal and pumping provided the perfect opportunity to rest up.
I don't know what it is about slime, but my kids love it. We got my oldest a slime making kit for Christmas and the kids have been begging to make their own slime. Right now H is helping them make slime and the kids are elated. It's so funny to me what they get excited about.
@ngolimento - I didn’t know (remember) that you had chickens too! I’m a little jealous of you and @kmalls having such a variety of birds. We just have some reds/browns from Tractor Supply that all look alike
@g_amoss but you’re basically on a legit farm. DH and I are strictly hobby chicken keepers (he likes to call us “chicken tenders” because he thinks that’s the funniest joke on the planet) and aesthetics are what we were after, ha!
Outside of the breastfeeding bras anyone have any recommendations on comfortable supportive bras to be worn everyday. I usually splurge on a few good bras at VS but would like to hold off until after I am done BF once Baby is born
Does anyone else video their stomach to try to catch baby kicking? It's like she knows and always stops when I turn on the camera, but I finally got her tapping back 3 times at me, lol.
@kmalls tell your husband I laughed out loud at his joke haha.
@psuxray07 I have been trying for WEEKS and finally caught my boy yesterday! He is a little turd, won't kick his grandma (my MIL) and always stops kicking when I tell my husband to look at my belly.
My random: i *think* baby flipped and is no longer transverse. He was making me so horribly uncomfortable 2 nights ago which made me think he was flipping around. Now I feel him on my right side mainly vs straight across my belly. I'm trying not to get too excited about it bc he can always flip back.
@psuxray07 I have those underwear! They're comfy, but I don't feel like they're necessary either. I will say that I got those and a different brand and I liked the ones you linked to better. Also, fwiw, I wear size 12 pants, normally.

@babyclarke429 I have Bravado nursing bras that I’m still wearing from my first pregnancy that are pretty comfortable. They’re not the sexiest looking bras but they’re decent quality.
As for VS, especially in the beginning no matter what bra you go with I’d suggest no underwire. I had bought one nursing bra with unwire- it was horrible and I ended up getting a clogged duct and mastitis after wearing it just one day. It was awful.
@ngolimento - I didn’t know (remember) that you had chickens too! I’m a little jealous of you and @kmalls having such a variety of birds. We just have some reds/browns from Tractor Supply that all look alike
Don't knock the red brown hybrid layers! I always keep at least 3 because they are such friendly and reliable layers. In fact, right now everyone is being a slacker since it is winter, except my plain Jane hybrid girls:).
@psuxray07 I bought those about a month ago and like them so far! They're a bit low for my taste but are quite comfortable. @kmalls So exciting about your Ameracauna chickens.. I think they look so unique, and I just love their egg colors. We almost got that breed instead of our two Gold Stars. Also.. love the term "chicken tenders".
@ftm_ohio lol at little turd! She would always quit kicking when H put his hand on my belly. The past 3 days, she's become much more active (yay!) so I finally caught her, haha.
@hedgepig@dan0081 Thanks for the feedback on them! Good to know they're comfy! Low is defintely what I want...it's like, if I wasn't wearing underwear at all, it'd be much more comfortable for my belly (which I'd never do because commando is uncomfortable in many other ways for me lol) because she is just so low. I feel a lot of movement like around my pubic symphysis/bladder. If nothing would touch there, that'd be nice, lol. I never felt the need for low undies with DS.
Still Breech as can be here and ALL of the kicks are low, like sorry, no, you don’t get to feel the baby kicking cuz it’s in my crotch” low right now! It’s the weirdest feeling ever! My other two were always butt to ribs and I felt kicks all over my stomach.
@riversdoctor my son keeps flipping to breech too. He’ll turn and i’ll feel kicks to the ribs every now and then, but now he’s flipped back again and is kicking me in the crotch as I type. Sigh. My first son did this too - I don’t think he went head down for good until 32-34 weeks.

@riversdoctor That’s how my girl has been the entire time. She is super low and the only way to really feel her is basically with your hand above my crotch. I can’t see any movement at all yet which is kind of a bummer!
Does anyone else video their stomach to try to catch baby kicking? It's like she knows and always stops when I turn on the camera, but I finally got her tapping back 3 times at me, lol.
Yessss I was trying to get video of baby moving tonight and he stoppped immediately. Stubborn babies
@psuxray07 that's my nickname for him and my DH always says, "well he takes after to already" haha!
Glad to hear your LO is getting more active. I'm sure once they start keeping us up at night with kicks we will think, "remember when they were weak ave liked to hide, that was nice" haha!
I’m glad to know I’m not the only one. I swear he does an entire gymnastics routine in there and by the time I grab the phone or have Daddy feel him he just freezes. Just like the dogs. They’ll be playing all cute like for five minutes solid. As soon as the camera comes on, even if silenced, they just stop. Lil turds. It had DH feeling kind of sad at first because he felt like every time he’d try to feel the booger would stop and shy away. Along that note, it is exciting and wonderful to know he is an active little nugget but there are times I wish he’d settle down! There have been a few jabs that have been quite uncomfortable. I’m fortunate though, at least up until this point, to not have him punching/kicking my ribs or vagina. .: knocks on wood :.
Has anyone experienced BH contractions yet? 27 week’s today and I haven’t felt anything of the description. Curious as to when others started to feel them and know that that was what they were feeling.
@dubnug I have felt some BH I had some at the end of November and from time to time ever since. It's mostly when I'm up and about a lot, which is all the time since I have a 3 year old to chase around.
