SCH?

Had a really traumatic couple of days. I had sudden onset heavy bleeding with massive clots on Wednesday morning while at work. They did an emergency ultrasound and found a subchorionic hematoma. I've been bleeding since, and while it's significantly less than the first hour, it picked back up again this evening. I'm so sore from the exam and ultrasound and so emotionally rocked by the constant bleeding. They also found that Sprout was still measuring a little small, so they changed my due date to 2/16.

Does anyone else have an SCH?

Re: SCH?

  • I'm so sorry. That's stressful but if they can see the sch I think that's a good thing. With my first pregnancy they couldn't find the cause of the bleeding and the theory is that the placenta never attached correctly. I just had a gush of blood yesterday while I was walking to pickup dinner. By the time I got home it had stopped and there's was just some spotting when I wiped. Bleeding is so stressful, but I've had pregnancies where there was bleeeding and ended in a loss and now I've had two bleeding occurrences in this pregnancy and I think things are still ok. So very hard to know but I'm just going to assume everything is ok until they tell me otherwise.
