Hi, I’m Rebecca. I’m 39 and I’ve been trying for a baby for six years. We did IVF in 2015 and lost the baby at 13 weeks due to genetic abnormalities. Then we did another round of IVF in 2016 and started with three more embryo transfers, none of which worked. We thought for sure we were done. But our very last frozen embryo (transferred Nov 21/17) worked and now I’m due on August 9th with a little girl. Feels surreal! So grateful to be here.
29 y/o Married 6.26.11 BFP 12.23.13, EDD 9.2.14 - baby girl, born too soon at 22w6d due to a placental abruption on 5.5.14 BFP 8.4.14, EDD 4.15.15 - rainbow son, born at 30w4d due to a placental abruption on 2.8.15, healthy 3 y/o now! I will readily admit that I've been stalking this board for a few months without introducing myself because I've spent all of my time on the Pregnant After IF board. It's a great board but because everyone is at different stages in their pregnancies, I wanted to sometimes come home to my fellow August mamas.
I'm 38, DH is almost 36, we've been married since May 2016 and TTC since then due to my "advanced age." After six months of no luck (never diagnosed, but it was believed that uterine scar tissue and adenomyosis was the cause) we decided to start IVF. After a second uterine surgery for fibroids/scar tissue/adenomyosis in April of last year, and the subsequent months of healing, we transferred our first embryo in September, which failed, and a second in October, which also failed. We decided to take time off to genuinely enjoy the holidays and ended up getting pregnant on our own! We're due August 30 with a baby girl but will have to have a c-section a week or so before due to my previous uterine surgeries.
I'm looking forward to continuing to stalk you, but with a bit more legitimacy, going forward. Thanks for the opportunity to join.
Hey I’m a 31 years old pregnant woman from China. My EDD is Aug 27th. I’m always curious about American culture. Especially now when I’m pregnant I really want to know : What do you do when you’re pregnant? How do you think of the COMING SOON new baby? Do you have the worries we Chinese pregnant women have?....So many questions in my head. So I came here “the BUMP”;)
Now I’m 18w+6 pregnant. I am taking Elevit vitamin complex and calcium every day as my doctor told that the baby needed. I am working as a HR specialist in a manufacturing factory. I think I will work until my day comes. We have 4 months for female maternity leave. Does that sounds crazy for you? those are what came into my head and I will share more if any of you are interested.
Hope to get to know more American mum here. You can ask me anything you curious about China.
I also will be having c section due to previous fibroid surgeries. Due date is Aug but will likely have baby late July/early Aug. Soo exciting especially after the trials of IVF. We tried for 12 yrs and sometimes I still can't believe it.
Hi! I’ll be a first time mom in August, hooray! I’m 32 and a kindergarten teacher. My husband and I got married in August 2017 so this will be a nice anniversary gift for us.
Hello everyone, I'm 35 will be 36 next month dh is 35, currently have an almost 4 y/o ds, and I haven't introduced myself or really gotten involved on the board yet because I had a loss last March of twins and I had been on the boards since I found out with them and frankly it messed me up a bit and made me extra freaked out and worried about this pregnancy. Currently 21 weeks now with a second ds, and hopefully will stop being freaked out and start getting involved now.
Hi! I'm in my 20s and expecting another daughter in August. I'm late to the group- currently 23 weeks pregnant. Looking forward to chatting with you all!
Hi everyone! I'm pregnant with my 3rd, a boy due August 2nd. This is actually my 7th pregnancy; we had 4 losses and tried for 2 years before finally having my son in 2013. I had a daughter in 2015, and I'm now 25w2d with this little boy! I was a regular on the bump while we were TTC and when I was pregnant with my son, but haven't been on since then (and had to get a new account because I can't remember what email I was signed up under before lol). I really miss having the community all due around the same time, so here I am!
4 losses: 1/11, 12/11, 3/12, 5/31/12 DS#1 born 5/23/13 (severe pre-e, emergency c/s) DD born 4/8/15 (gestational hypertension, c/s after failed VBAC) DS#2 due 8/2/18
Hi ladies! My name is Monique, I'm in LB, CA and 39 yo (just LOVE being called geriatric). This is my 2nd pregnancy - lost the first around 10 weeks, so we were a bit nervous with this pregnancy. My EDD is 8/11.
I've been using TheBump app throughout my pregnancy, but never got involved in the community - in fact, I haven't shared much about my pregnancy publicly ... fear of getting too excited and then something going wrong. I'm finally letting myself get more excited heading into my 3rd trimester and thought I'd finally jump in and say "hi"! (Better late than never?)
My husband & I have been taking Bradley Method classes and trying to prepare myself for a natural birth. Happy to share what I'm learning and look forward to learning from you ladies as well.
I'm Kendra. I'm 27 and a first time mom. I work as a costume designer and stitcher at a small but awesome professional theatre. I'm due August 26th-which is my birthday!
Hi mommas, I'm 34 and my wife is 39. My wife is the 1 pregnant, but stresses easily so I'm doing most of the research and letting her just relax and make a baby, lol.
Hello! I’m really late in joining the discussions, but I’ve been following along for quite a while. I’m like a “long-time listener, first-time caller.” I know that may not always be everyone’s favorite approach on these kinds of message boards, so I apologize for not having introduced myself sooner. I think I’m just slow to feel comfortable contributing, so I wanted to feel things out for a while first before putting myself out there, and I hope everyone understands! : )
My name is Caitlin, and I’m a FTM who is married to a firefighter. We’re expecting a baby boy at the very end of August, so I just hit 31 weeks today. I’ve been having a ton of those FTM worries and trying my best to keep my anxiety at bay by finding comfort in reading what other moms have to say about their experiences.
I look forward to connecting with everyone here and hopefully in the Facebook group as well!
