@MrsF1017 I am 22 weeks today, and this past week I have started feeling her more regularly. Not all the time, but when we went to the movies last night she was having a ball in there
@kaymaroo YES! Feels like I've been kicked between the legs. Mostly notice it in the mornings or if I've been sitting or laying for more than an hour. I'm attributing it to increased blood flow in that direction.
I think what I’m feeling is BH but I’m not sure - I know people can experience them differently. At first I thought it was baby’s head or butt or something pushing hard against the front of my belly because it would be kind of concentrated to one side and my tummy would get really hard for maybe 10-30 seconds and then go away - but now I’m thinking those are BH? Pregnancy is WEIRD, guys.
@frenchiekinplusone I've had bh, that I've noticed, since 19 weeks with this one. Some I don't even notice until I push on my belly and its rock hard. Other times it feels like, idk, a knot (?) in one spot or another. Or even like an achy bladder. And there's the good Ole lop sided belly ones too. I chalk it up to baby being in different positions. Really I have no idea and agree pregnancy is weird. lol

@JJMNO1616 I like A&D (the blue writing) but used the other too. I think the blue is more preventative and other is more you already have a rash. Destin always seemed like glue to me
@dirtyboots@frenchiekinplusone That is exactly what I've been experiencing, too. I have no idea if it's just baby or BH either. I may ask my OB at my appointment tomorrow just so I have more insight.. I can report back if you'd like, although I'm sure everyone experiences things differently. So weird!
@JJMNO1616 I love Triple Paste. Of all the butt creams out there it was by far my favorite. A little more on the pricey side but well worth it in my opinion. You can get it in tubes and jars.
I feel like diaper cream is one of those things, like everything else, that’s specific to each kid. I wanted to like Triple Paste because friends swore up and down that it’s the best, but it didn’t help my kids. Aquaphor was/is the only cream that was effective for them.
@JJMNO1616 most diaper creams come in travel size. It might be a good idea to register for a bunch of different brands in that tiny size and figure out what’s best for your baby that way. Then you won’t end up with a shitload of cream that you can’t use (like me).
I will second the comment from @lindsye - we were very lucky and my DD has had diaper rash mayyybe 5 times. We put on some Honest Co. Healing Balm and it cleared up immediately. Don't invest in a ton of bottles of the stuff until you know you need it.
Has anyone ever used coconut oil as diaper cream? I'm not a super organic/health nut or anything, but my sister in law makes big tubs of coconut oil that I sometimes use as an intensive moisturizer and I love it.
@JJMNO1616 I will second @kmalls on the aquaphor. It is our go to. I will also add that if you do your baby registry at Target they give you a gift bag full of different samples to try. They call it their "welcome kit". There is diaper cream, pacifiers, formula, baby lotion. It was nice to have small versions of many different types so we could see what worked for us without buying/wasting full size products. I think I got a gift pack from Amazon in the mail too when I registered with them.

@klburke88 coconut oil is another thing I wanted to like but it just never worked for us. Maaaaybe if it was just super minor irritation it would do the trick (if we were lucky), but the few times DS had terrible diaper rash, coconut oil was a joke. I might as well have just splashed some water on his butt.
@klburke88 I think the coconut oil works better as a prevention then a treatment. So if babe is having particularly icky poops slathering on some coconut oil help to keep the poops from sticking so badly. I got away with doing that and naked time each day to keep it aired out. Lots of diaper rashes are yeast driven which thrive in a warm damp environment. I only had 2 boughts that I had to use desitine cream with my 16 month old.

@kmalls gotcha. We keep a supply of Aquaphor on hand for DH's super dry skin, so we'll probably try both and see what works best. I also just loooove the smell of coconut oil, LOL!
We have all the butt creams out there: boudreaux's butt paste, Honest company diaper cream/.balm, Beauty Counter Butt Balm, triple paste, coconut oil, etc. You name it we tried it. Every kid is different and what works for your kid will probably be different than mine.
For us? We use Desitin Maximum Strength and Aquaphor. I'm a zealot with the aquaphor and use it for EVERYTHING all over the body and Desitin for the butt. Aquaphor is my go-to lip balm, for the kids too, and when DD gets bad patches of dry skin we slather her whole body in aquaphor and it's gone after two applications. It's the best moisturizing product out there (different use than butt cream, but it can be used for that too!).

Anybody had a stomach virus pregnant? If so, did your doctor advise you to do anything in particular? I know I need to take Tylenol if i spike a fever, but of course I started throwing up after hours, when the OB's office is closed.

@lindsye I have had 2. Along with staying hydrated, if you have zofran from the first trimester, you can take that. I couldn't even keep liquids down and doc had me take zofran. But the most important thing was staying hydrated, I was at a point where if I couldn't keep the zofran down, I was going to need to get fluids.
@lindsye I am currently going through a stomach bug as well. My husband came home on Tuesday feeling feverish, achy and having the chills but nothing came of it. He woke up fine the next day. A part of me wondered if it was food poisoning as I had cooked a shrimp pasta dinner last night but my husband is completely fine. It’s brutal. This is the first time I’ve been pregnant with a stomach bug. I will heed the advice of previous posters and try to get fluids in me. Are you planning on calling your OB to let them know? I’m not sure if it’s necessary or not. I hope yours passes quickly!!
@MrsF1017 I have an AP and probably started feeling tiny, almost imperceptible movements in week 19 or 20, but only now, just finishing week 22 am I feeling real, daily movement. @frenchiekinplusone I *think* I've been having some BH (FTM, so not entirely sure) - mine are usually triggered by peeing (especially when my bladder is really full), or a BM, or an orgasm. My whole uterus gets really hard, and I usually feel an achy pain down low in my pelvis/near my bladder/ovaries (this same pain is, I think, just a variation on the sharp, momentary RLP, but lasts for 10 or 20 minutes instead).

To our ladies with stomach bugs - i am not your typical "doctor gal". I never go when I'm sick. Even when I'm pregnant. That being said if i had a stomach virus while pregnant I'd call my ob to see what's protocol. They are no joke and you can get into bad shape pretty quickly so please take care of yourselves.
