Oh that wasn't all of the list @Chawk17. And that would involve about 75 people from all over the state. She had a gift certificate to Olive Garden on there. We're going with that. These were just some interesting highlights.

Olive garden is more reasonable and yummy! Good choice

Super random but I got a job offer and part of pre employment screening is a drug test..... I kinda laughed when the lady said I had to go get this done tomorrow after we had just finished talking about my pregnancy

I think you should share the whole list with us for research purposes...
@magnolia131 I'm impressed! I am not looking forward to hosting or thanksgiving on Thursday with only 11 people.
I cannot find a straight answer about this online, so I thought I'd ask in case one of you has dealt w this: when you return an Amazon registry gift, does it alert the gift giver? I want to return a diaper bag I got at the shower but obviously don't want to offend the family member who gave it to us!
I've been crafting for Christmas since we are on a budget and I've been having so much fun! I haven't done a lot of crafting since DD was born and so far I've finished my mom's present which is a leather car trash can hand stitched and stained and working on my sister's hufflepuff jewelry box complete with a niffler hiding inside lol. Trying to figure out what my ILs would like is definitely more difficult than my family and I've all but given up trying to do something nice for my SIL... I'm pretty sure anything we've ever gotten her has ended up in the bottom of a bin somewhere or donated to goodwill despite serious thought being put in... anybody else have any fun crafting projects or plans? Always hunting for more ideas!
@magnolia131 I’m so impressed that you hosted and are already cleaned up. I only attended a Thanksgiving like that this weekend and I’m going to need at least a week to recover.
@wal2017 I would hope that if you got store credit then it won't alert the buyer, but if not then they'll see the return on their credit card receipt. I bought some presents for H's niece/nephew, and their parents returned a few of the things I got them and I saw it on my account, but that wasn't from a registry so I don't know if it's different. Sidenote: I still don't know why they returned the gifts, because H and his brother don't get along so I don't know if it was spite or they just didn't like them.
@chucksmom15 Your mom sounds like my parents, mostly my dad. They keep pushing for us to have a weekly Sunday dinner, which is just a huge no for me. Then they get mad if we're not at their house at least once a month. Nevermind that at the end of the day we've run out of things to talk about and sit there staring at each other.
AFM, my management is trying to figure out coverage for me while I'm on mat leave, complicated by the fact that another person who would have helped cover just quit. So now they're talking about me in meetings, rather than to me and getting my thoughts on how to do this. While I don't care what they do while I'm gone, I just need to make sure they don't mess with my job leading to my doing something different when I get back!

@magnolia305 I'm exhausted just thinking about hosting 37 people.
@eggplantface the other people involved in the equation are my brother and SIL who live an hour away and have a 7 month old. Oh and all 4 of us have full time jobs. She doesn't understand why we are so busy
Sitting in my OBs office for the 1 hr glucose. I get annoyed when I bring up things to my midwife, like symptoms I am concerned with, and she just shrugs them off and tells me to take Tylenol. Tylenol is not helping my blurry vision! Can I get a huge eye roll please. It just makes me feel like a crazy person.
@chucksmom15 Your mom sounds...lovely My favorite item and I think the one you should opt for is the electric skillet. We have one and it's not too bad price wise. Certainly less money than the 6-8 week family gathering option! Buy something, anything, that is not terribly expensive and if she complains that the skillet does burn the sandwiches/pancakes... tell her the Amazon reviews were really good and you had no idea. Besides, that a more of user error than the skillet itself in most cases.
@BrittaniLC Good luck on your 1 hour today! I had mine last week on Thursday.
My doctor's office told me they'd call within 24 hours if I needed to come back. They haven't called so I hope I'm in the clear and they didn't just forget about me. Especially because I took the lack of a phone call on Friday to mean I could eat gourmet chocolate all weekend.
@seitzy3 I'm sorry your OB isn't listening to your concerns. I'm pretty sure blurred vision could be a sign of something that Tylenol wouldn't take care of (migraines, dehydration etc.) If your OB isn't going to listen to you, could you possibly call your primary care and explain the situation? Maybe they could be of more help.
She just bought an electric skillet @amb929 and says it burns their grilled cheese lol. You are right it is probably user error. She really is a great person but we get off the wall stuff like this all the time. Definitely makes life interesting!

I wish my MIL would put that on our list as I have to do it anyway. At least this way I wouldn't have to also buy her a gift.
@ldawngirl781 I agree! Only, we often don't even get a 6 week breaks from family gatherings--except when MIL/FIL winter in Texas!
We live about 10 minutes from them so we see them way more often. This is how frequently she wants us to organize with my brother, his wife and their 7 month old who live an hour away. Seeing us separately is not what she is after lol
Re: Weekly Randoms 11.19-11.26
@magnolia131 not sure if I’m more impressed you hosted 37 people or that it’s all cleaned up already!
@pandappanderson congrats! That’s awesome!

We close on our house Tuesday morning. I'm almost too excited to sleep. Excited and stressed with so much work to be done!
