  • I have been crying a lot re: food. It’s pretty pathetic. DH has been a trooper about it. I’m just not used to being this hungry this often! It’s so hard to keep up with.
  • Nausea (started unisom and b6..fingers crossed). Exhausted all the time. Skin is a nightmare. AND NIPPLE PAIN. I woke up the other night screaming and shivering. I hold a heating pad on my chest and it helps after a while. But I am at work right now and the stabbing nipples of doom are taking my breath away. I'm freezing and wearing multiple layers.

  • I cried at an episode of Scrubs, and called my three year-old an ___hole. My hormones are whacked and apparently, I have no filter.
Stuck in nausea limbo, feeling gross about 95% of the time and trying to keep a full stomach, even though it doesn't help.
Tired all the time, but I have been tired for about four years, and I see no respite in sight. I have resigned myself to the fact that being tired is just kinda my thing.
  • Posted this to the old symptoms thread by mistake. Maybe we can add "pregnancy brain" to my list of symptoms.

Got hit by waves of nausea for the first time yesterday. I've felt queasy a few times in the past few weeks, but yesterday was the first time it was like "Yep I might throw up" as opposed to just feeling a little funky. I've also been super crabby. Got mad at my DD this morning for something that really wasn't a big deal, immediately felt like world's worst mom and spent the next several minutes hugging and kissing her. I'm a roller coaster of emotions, man.

  • I can't breathe. Not in a scary, go to the hospital sort of way, but like, it just doesn't feel like I'm getting enough oxygen when I do breathe. Miserable!
  • nausea that really kicked up last weekend has gotten more consistent.
dreams are CRAZY, woke me out of my sleep early.
    Def still peeing a lot.
fatigue has actually slightly improved. The past couple weeks I couldn't do more than one household chore a day, if that. Yesterday I was able to catch up on laundry (4 loads), clean the kitchen, wash & condition my hair, cook breakfast & dinner, in addition to go to my godson's football game. Outside of work I probably did more yesterday than I've done in the last month.  But the fact that Saturday I got about 11 hours of sleep could have something to do with it.
Is pregnancy jealousy a symptom? I know we are more emotional, but specifically jealousy. All my fb friends who are pg or wive's are pg I find myself stalking their pages almost daily. A few always have on cute outfits with their bumps and their husband post about taking them to get prenatal massages, these lavish baby showers, babymoons. I'm just sitting here with a hand full of people knowing I'm pregnant looking extra bloated with a bunch of old clothes that don't fit. (sigh)

  • I just had gas pains so intense in the grocery store this morning that no joke temporarily made my vision go black
  • I'm nauseous pretty much all day unless my stomach is full. So I just force myself to eat to keep the nausea away even though I have no desire to eat anything. I know my last pregnancy it really helped to suck on peppermint candies so I need to go get some ASAP. And I'm exhausted.
  • @ffw0617 hang in there! we will get there too! Maybe not the lavish baby showers and babymoon's (holla to my mama's on a budget!) but you will have the excitement and the bump sooner than you would probably like as time will fly. I'd say just enjoy having your own little secret. At the wedding this weekend MH and I were dancing and no one there knew (officially) but he whispered in my ear that the baby was dancing too and it was really sweet.

AFM...I know I'm not hungry because I had breakfast and then second breakfast but I have this slight nausea that makes me think I might be hungry but nothing sounds good.

  • @Austenista My nausea comes and goes too, seems worse on an empty stomach but I still have a scarce appetite.

The exhaustion is still in full force for me. Bed by 9/9:30 and by then I can barely keep my eyes open.
  • @krashke thank you.

  • Is it unusual to not have to pee any more than before? I’m almost 8 weeks and have terrible morning sickness with vomiting. But so far, not a single extra trip to the bathroom.
    Pregnancy Ticker
  • @MooFish2364 I haven't been peeing any more than usual either. My last pregnancy I didn't have to pee a lot until I started to get big and baby was really pressing on my bladder, I never notice a difference first tri though.
  • @MooFish2364 I'm peeing more, but I'm also drinking so much more water. I'm just a lot thirstier. I really don't think I'm peeing more proportionally; if I were drinking this much water non-pregnant, I think I'd pee just as often, if that makes sense. That said, with the vomiting, make sure you're trying to drink extra water or visiting your doctor for IV fluids if needed to make sure you're getting enough water, since vomiting can obv reduce.
  • Thanks @lrichhx05 & @llamamama14

@doxiemoxie212 thanks for the heads up. This is probably TMI but I mostly throw up bike so it seems like I’m able to keep my fluids in long enough. Hopefully. I’ll be asking my doctor next week unless it gets worse.

@missylaneous419 I have been taking the B6 & unisom combo by recommendation of my RE nurse. It takes the edge off for me to where I probably won’t throw up, but I still have a slight undercurrent if nausea. But it relieves it enough to let me function through my work day which is what i really needed. I hope it works for you.

  • @marcus7676 I am experiencing the opposite problem. I am so hot, not running a fever but undressing to a t-shirt where everyone is wearing sweaters. At night time (weather is 30-32) I crack a window open and turn on a fan. I love being swaddled in a blanket for comfort though and keep fighting it instead.
  • I'm definitely on the nausea wagon. I feel mildly ill most of the day. It erupts into full-blown "get me to a toilet NOW" mode whenever I smell something strong or think about the wrong kind of food. Or try to brush my teeth.

The only things that sound OK to eat are cheese toast or a plain cheeseburger from McDonald's.

    Also, I'm really thirsty.

  • Overall my nausea has almost gone away. Every now and then I have a mild wave coming on feeling yucky but it is gone soon.
My dreams are crazy and I have been having a hard time sleeping. I am more emotional and want to cry at everything. I might be imagining it but I have a pretty significant food baby. My nipples are bigger too so I feel like my body has changed but not in a complimentary way. I was curious about weight gain and it has been only like 1 pound, perhaps it is all bloat.
I have had spotting on and off and it makes me worried so much! I called my OB several times already and all she has said "spotting can happen" and has done 1 blood draw to see my hormone levels (which she said looked normal for how far along I am) and I received Rhogam shot as I am RH negative. Ultra sound has not been done yet and she wants to keep the appointment the same. I am so anxious waiting for it, and of course having crazy dreams about it being all kind of bad news.
  • +1 to being a lot thirstier.

  • No nausea, but a general blah feeling. Not sleeping well doesn't help. I've been short with DH and DS, which makes me feel like an asshat mom and wife, so that make me emotional. Also have a general feeling of not having my shit together, may or may not be pregnancy related....

  • @=caenis= the urge for McDonalds is unreal, and I'm one of those ppl who didn't get fast food for 3 years (2009-2011 the reese mcflurry brought me back lol). I only like the occasional fry or mcflurry. I was at my godson's football game yesterday and this kid had a cheeseburger kids meal, thank GOD there was no McDonalds between the park and my house bc I def would have stopped. It looked so good. I haven't had a McDonald's burger since 2008, so I don't even know how they taste anymore but I wanted one.

  • @ffw0617 @=caenis= +1 to the McDonalds train!! It is so bad. And I refuse to eat it too unless I am pregnant. One of my top 5 cravings with DD and looks like this one is no different.

  • Let's see, nausea, restless at night, tired beyond belief, random cravings (did they really have to start already), random dreams, crying at the drop of a hat...yea, I think that's it
  • +1 to McDonald's cravings and huge/ significantly darker nipples! Forgot about those..

  • +1 to the Mcdonald's cravings. I've never been a fan of the burgers, even as a kid, but I would definitely kill for some chicken nuggets!

Also today is the first day I don't feel like I'm dying via nausea!! It's been almost a solid month of feeling super sick 24/7. Even yesterday I was miserable and skipped dinner because I felt too sick to even look at food. Then woke up this morning feeling pretty much fine. I've been enjoying it all day.. hopefully the nausea is gone for good.

    Hi, my first symptom update!

This bloat is REAL. I am so uncomfortable and hiding this bloat belly at work is getting hard. I am definitely not drinking enough water. How does everyone make sure they are drinking enough?? I hate the way cold water feels when it hits my stomach.

    I'm tired.

@ramblebee I hear you on the bloat. I accidently posted on the old symptoms thread but has anyone found really nice maternity work pants anywhere? I'm probably going to have to start wearing them sooner rather than later unless this bloat/constipation gets better.

    Edited for spelling
  • Ah man my craving for hash browns are kind of ridiculous. I had an emotional experience with some from Bojangles this weekend.

  • I don't want to jinx it, but I'm starting to get my appetite back these last few days.  It's been so hard to eat (nauseous but not throwing up) that I've lost a few pounds and I don't really have any extra pounds to lose.  But we went on vacation this weekend and I don't know if it was just getting away or my hormones are leveling off but I was able to eat small meals throughout the day like the internet says I should.  I'm really excited.  Now I'm eating about 500 calories in graham crackers because who knows how long this will last.

  • My nausea has gotten worse, and I have to really stay on top of eating little bits all day or I start throwing up. We were on vacation last week and tomorrow is my first day back to work, so that should be interesting. Also, Saturday night I got up from the couch to go pee, go super nauseated and started throwing up so hard I peed my pants a little. I REALLY hope that doesn’t happen at work...haha. I’m actually only up a pound, but none of my pants will button comfortably and my boobs are insane. Also +1 (or, technically +2) for big nipples.
  • @lovetakesworkman I had a junior bacon cheeseburger today and it was amazing

Been super tired, hungry all the time, peeing a lot more, boobs still sore, tailbone pain when sitting (random) and occasional nausea. Of course I’m craving salty and greasy foods. Had a Philly cheesesteak yesterday and it’s was so good!

Oh andI forgot about the dreams!
  • +1 to McDonald’s cravings. I could eat French fries all day every day.
Nausea is still constant. I’m tying to keep my stomach full because I go from hungry to going to puke in about 5 min so I’m constantly snacking on pretzels. Plus random aversions. Some day salad sounds good, others it’s awful.

  • yaaas to the mcdonalds.  Dollar menu basic cheeseburger all the way.  Wendy's will work if a donalds isn't close...but they're seriously the best while pregnant.
