I did not tell my employer until I was 20 weeks. It was just the time that I felt was comfortable for me to announce my pregnancy, due to announcing early at about 9 weeks and then having a miscarriage, it was uncomfortable and really upsetting to then go back and say “oh well never mind “
I just told my employer. I feel like it was way to early to tell her since I'm only 5w 3d. However, I have had a lot of time off and out of the office lately because of *TW* My dad's recent passing *END TW* and already planned vacations. Despite being out for valid reasons she's the kind of person to hold it against you for lack of face time even if you're performing well and your job is perfectly capable of being completed remotely. However since I've basically had the last 2 weeks off and I need to take this morning for a doctor's appointment I told her. She can't argue when the doctor wants to see you on specific days/weeks.
I did tell my mom at Thanksgiving and now I have an amazing video forever and ever. I had her pose for a "picture" with my sister (who already knew) started the video and then said "ok ready? say "Nimmle is Pregnant!". Her reaction was priceless.
