@justsuzie, He is so precious! I'm sorry he's evil, buuuuuuttttt.... so, so cute!
My random.... you know you're pregnant when... you're afraid to brush your teeth in the morning because you know you will gag, dry heave, and/or vomit.

Try brushing without tooth paste and following up with mouthwash?
I don't think there is a thread for this so randoms it is!
I had a heartbeat check and they found it on Doppler! 168! I'm so relieved. I still haven't told a soul because I was worried about a loss. I'd still tell the world if I had a loss, but I hate that other people get excited/invested and then find out. I'd rather they just know after...having done it the other way around once. I think at this point I'll still wait till post NT. This weekend is my baby's birthday party and I want him to have his own special thing.
I lived in their nursing tanks after my first. After my second I didn't care and would just whip out a boob with no care, but they were life saving with my first. Anyway they've got some seconds sales right now and usually have some awesome fall deals worth snagging.
I have an hour long commite to work. Today, a bagel sounded good. I've been so sick with HG that nothing has sounded good- ever. So I stopped at DD for one. I ordered whole wheat with regular cream cheese.
They gave me whole wheat wth pumpkin spice cream cheese.
have you ever eaten a fall candle? I haven't, but I imagine it'd taste a lot like that cream cheese.
i was so bummed out. So I stopped at a different DD farther down the interstate and they fixed it. For free!
Im currently sitting in my car trying not to cry at how good this bagel tastes after almost a month th of not eating.
@justsuzie He is pretty adorable! I hope he doesn’t get sick. About 7 or 8 years ago I baked a cake for my husband’s birthday. We each had one piece. The next day, I went to class and MH went to work. I came home and found the cake plate and foil on the floor of the kitchen, licked clean. I found the dog in the living room, along with vomit all over the room. Later that evening, it was diarrhea. It was so gross!

Yep not a fan of flavored cream cheese... Hive me plain cc, peanut butter, or hummus, if I have to change it up! Hummus on wheat bagels were my go to snack when I was a teenager in the ballet company.
MH just informed me that our 4 yo purchased a bunch of seasons of Paw Patrol from Amazon Video. We have no idea how he did it since purchases from his Kindle is password protected. MH said it was around $150. Looks like he already got his Christmas present. Lol.
@Kovak omg! We have had the same problem, but he did it with the firestick. The firestick still operates even if we are not on that input option. We have some terrible movies because of that. I think if you contact amazon they will refund you and change it!
@cups4 I was just talking to my dad about it and he said the same thing (about the refund). I just assumed since it was digital content they didn’t allow refunds. I’ll have to look into it. DS loves Paw Patrol and I have nothing against it (so far) but boy, that is a lot of money to plunk down on a cartoon!
@Kovak I've found Amazon to be extremely good with customer service. If you explain the situation, I'll bet they'd at least refund a part!!! No harm in trying!
@bearwithme@ivyvines6 blah I made a bagel yesterday and couldn't decide between regular and scallion cream cheese so I did half and half. I thoroughly enjoyed the regular half and forgot the second half was scallion. One big nope when I took that scallion bite.
JNCPro3130 Um yes....I can't find a toothpaste that isn't soooo overpowering. molly1108-2 The doppler is addictive. It is my vice now. If I could, I would fashion a belt out of one. Kovak@cups4 Ya know, you are not the first person I have heard about this happening to this week! My friend said her son "accidentally" ordered like 4 shows off amazon that were really expensive.
Okay, so I am pretty damn god at avoiding work and bumping but I cannot keep up with all the check-ins. I might have to retreat to just the dailies and not the due-date ones.
So here's my random... I know I'm only 11.5 weeks, but this is my third and I swear to god I can feel my uterus all the way up by my belly button... but only on one side.
So today has been awful. My two year old had a breadstick last weekend that had butter on it and now has diarrhea that is turning his butt so red. This happens every time he accidentally has dairy. And this HG is definitely getting the best of me. Phenergren isn't really doing much for me so I've just been dry heaving all day until I can finally get a tiny bit of water or whatever is in my gut out. But yeah, it's been a crappy day. I can't wait until May! Looking foreword to holding my babe in my arms instead of my uterus!

I am so sorry for the rough day. Phenergran did nothing except knock me out. Has your doctor considered diclegis? It has definitely taken the edge off the HG for me and given me the chance to eat a few small bites throughout the day.
@justsuzie Your dog is super cute. Super naughty, but super cute!
@molly1108-2 Congrats on hearing baby’s heartbeat! That’s so exciting!
@tincupchalice My uterus did that with #3 too. I thought I had a tumor or something, but my OB nurse friend confirmed it was my uterus. It didn’t continue to get crazy big though and I measured normally by 24 weeks:-)
@theletlers, I am so sorry about your HG and sick toddler:-( I like to mix Vaseline+triple antibiotic+anti fungal cream+steroid cream and slather it on red butts, especially when caused by diarrhea. This mixture is also awesome for any skin issues, including mild burns. I hope he feels better soon!
@bearwithme, it was delicious, but every time I eat a bagel, I crave Doritos with it because that's all I would eat in high school-bagel with cream cheese and Doritos. You'd think I'd learn to get some chips just in case.

I've been "locked out" of TB for 2 days!!! Wahhhh. I don't know why but suddenly I couldn't comment/reply, start a thread, or give love tits. My mobile app has been uninstalled twice and the problem still exists. Doesn't work on a computer, it just says to download the app. I am now on my iPad where it didn't work at first but FINALLY started to!!! Catching up now, and hoping my mobile works soon Anyone else experience this??aa
edited to add how much I love and missed all the awesome gifs hahaha
@babys_2018 I had a problem on my laptop yesterday where I couldn't participate in Community. It kept saying I was logged in, but wouldn't give me a reply box and just kept taking my back to the main page when I tried to click Reply. Finally had to log out, close the browser and try again. Haven't had a problem that bad on mobile though. Mostly logging out, even though I obviously wasn't actually logged in fixes it.
Also: Go Dodgers!!

Yeah unfortunately nothing seems to fix it! I sent a support email in to TB but haven't heard back yet. Maybe it's a system error that will be fixed soon.
Ok here's some randomness. I was watching a TV show and there was a family with a HS senior who got into a very expensive college. The parents were worried about how to pay for it and told the kid basically, you can't go there. They had conversations about not wanting the kid to take on a lot of debt or work too much. But I'm over here like WTF this isn't a child, by 18 shouldn't this be her call? My Dad said, I have saved enough to pay your tuition for 4 years at our state university. So if you want to go somewhere that costs more, you'll have to figure out where that money comes from. I know taking about college is beyond too early for these babies, lol. But is this helicopter parenting or am I weird?
@pearlvirus my mom was willing to pay for my bachelors and just asked me if I could please go to the cheapest school and I said sure. I guess it depends. She wasn't paying for anything extra for me and I moved out after my first two years in college. I worked part time at home and full time through the last two years. Basically she encouraged independence but secured an education. I have a friend whose mom told her not to work through college and that mom paid for everything and now that friend still lives at home at 25.
@charlestonchew I could could totally see having a conversation like that - here's what we want for you and here's what we can afford, but I still think ultimately it should be the kids choice.

I actually bought some from the store tonight. I doubt they'll be as good as the one I had earlier today, but I figured I'd try..

Eta- actually, it was a fairly popular combination. We were a small school weren't that extravagant.
We just saw Chappelle do stand up in NYC in August. He is the best.

@justsuzie I feel bad for you, the puppy, and your hubby! That story is quite funny, especially since your dog is so darn cute.
@sandbar517 wow, that was a good cry...thank you so much for sharing. What a neat way of looking at morning sickness!
