Mine is boring, but I can't for the life of me think of anything else right now.  My confession for today is that there is an old person living inside of me.  I would much rather watch M*A*S*H, I Love Lucy, The Golden Girls, old war shows on the History channel, etc. than The Voice or The Bachelorette.  Also, give me all The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, all of the old stuff over Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift.  Except Adele.  I'm in deep and desperate love with Adele.  Other than that, I'm totally old fashioned-in my pop culture preferences only. Cars, clothes, music, that kind of stuff.  Politically, I'm very progressive and liberal (which is TOTALLY new for me in the past 7-10ish years).

I'm kind of rude to drive-bys. I don't understand how so many people don't read the first few boards that are at the top for a reason and still post things inappropriately after they've had the waiting period literally designed for you to figure out how things work.

My daughters birthday party was last Saturday and I still haven't taken down the decorations. Getting the ladder out and doing work just sounds too hard. We now live with fake palm trees in my dining room.

 My Christmas tree stays up until the week before my son's birthday now.  His birthday is late March

My son’s birthday was in May. He was so sad when we took the decorations down that we just moved them into his room. They’re still there.

@yesthisiskim0401 @ivyvines6 I still have Christmas decorations up from last year. There's a Merry Christmas sign over our bow-window, too much work to take it down and it blends into the curtains so I forget about it half the time. There are 2 huge acrylic snowflakes in the same window, I noticed after I put them up that we stopped having birds fly into them, so I left them.... for nature...... And I pinned garland all the way around our living room ceiling (like crown molding) it ended up covering where I need to cut in with the paint so well that I've decided it's staying until I'm ready to paint lol

I only deep-clean my house when guests are coming over. Before that, my idea of a "clean house" is probably questionable, complete with collecting dust

So, I used my home fetal doppler last weekend and was able to eventually find a lovely 175 heartbeat for a few seconds before the dang kid moved again. Confession part: didn't tell my husband, didn't record it. Will probably search again tomorrow morning while I wait for the appropriate time to drag the toddler out to watch him finish his half-marathon. Don't know if I'll record or tell him about that one either...

So if you understand how the board works why would you choose to make your introduction during a ticker change instead of responding to the questions that were posted in the ticker change? The "drama" in the intro board has dissipated so it's a safe space again for people to announce their presence and life stories.

Eh, not that I'm trying to hide it from him necessarily. He regarded the doppler last pregnancy with general uncertainty, so using it around him always made me really nervous. Nerves would result in not being able to find anything, which would result in more nerves. So I checked while he wasn't home so that I could actually find something. But then I figured he would be disappointed in me that I did it without him. It's a spiral of bad.

I should really probably put on my big girl panties and just tell him or pull it out while he's around. No big deal, right? Right

Confession - I never introduced myself. And if I read that post, I only look for the drama parts. 

This is maybe more of an UO than a confession, but I feel like this board is so slow it doesn't really matter if there are drive-bys or one off posts. At least its something to look at. 

I also haven't heard any new Taylor Swift songs.

I haven't checked the intro thread after the drama started. I'm not a fan of drama. I did respond to all the questions in my ticker change group I just didn't post the message as bullet points. I preferred a paragraph where I could include more personality. Sometimes it seems that with all of these designated threads with strict formats make it harder to connect because people respond in a obligatory way rather than actually talking to each other. I figure if I'm going to belong to a ticker change group for a long time then we should connect more? Just my humble opinion. I'm still trying to find my space here and following along. I can't be the only one.

I disagree. TTGP is really structured also and I felt like I was still conntecting to people. If you take the time to read posts and respond/engage with other users, that helps with forming connections.

 Oh I absolutely can't wait to get to know you! I  just prefer that everyone uses the same format as everyone else in a group like that where it is literally designed to be done with in that format.  I'm a big fan of following rules especially whenever you're new and if I don't feel like following the rules I don't engage in a discussion. Maybe that's just me?

Maybe it is. Either way I've been enjoying following all of you and will definitely focus more on the rules and try my best to respond to everyone's responses more. I understand that this forum is more structured because of the amount of people who use it and it's designed to be streamlined. I'm not used to it, but I'm adjusting

I'm a total flake when it comes to paper work. I'm always the last mom to hand in documents to school and the last employee at work to hand in paysheets.  Also terrible at emails. I don't understand why I'm like this. I'm organized in every other way except papers!!!!

Right?! I actually hate the rigidity of this board. I hate having to scroll through endless pages of posts on a vague thread to find something to reply to or relate to. I don't have time to read everything so then I just stay away from entire threads that are too huge. I'm all for structure, but I get annoyed by the thread police. This board is slow, who cares? 

My confession... I'm dreading telling my in-laws about this pregnancy. They are great people, but I'm worried my mil is going to smother us. She got super needy with Audri- needing to come see us all the time, demanding to spend the night. I hate overnight visitors but she lives an hour and a half away so she feels like she needs to make a few days out of her visits. I feel like I have to entertain her and it's more work to have her help than to not. And she Facebook friended me and weirdly comments on all my stuff now. Ugh!!

I see where you'll all coming from, but I think once we get further into our pregnancies, the board will start to iron itself out.  But I also think once you've been on the board awhile, you'll start to realize what the rest of us are talking about with the AW, one-off, rando drive-by threads.  It gets REALLY annoying when someone who's never spent a minute talking to us comes in here and starts their own thread about 'Is anyone else feeling nauseated/having back pain/not having sex with their SO?'  I mean, seriously?  If you read even one post, you would find out that we're almost all feeling that way, so what makes you think you're any different, or that we even care since we have no idea who you are?  Just curious, have you ever looked at any other pregnancy forums?  Babycenter is totally not like TB, and it's crazy how unorganized and random it is.  3000 people all posting the same thing day after day, and there's no community like there is here.  Or even look at TB's 1st Trimester board.  It's no fun to be on there because it's just a bunch of random people posting random things.  If we had a set up more like that, our whole board would be like the one long run-on sentence and you would have to sift through pages and pages of posts to find something anyway.
