@KayLee77 This actually makes more sense to me now! I failed the 3 hour test and my doctor thinks it was because I was restricting carbs so much (and don't normally eat much sugar or drink soda) and my body didn't know how to respond to the drink.
I have my test in an hour and a half. I'm so worried! In Canada it's a two hour test.. and I had to eat a minimum 150g of carbs for 3 days before the test. I'm not allowed to eat or drink anything, including water after midnight the day of the test.
I only "slightly" failed the one hour, so here's hoping for the best on this test. Sigh..
I did it and survived!! It was a 75g drink, tasted better than the 50g one.. didn't make my sugar crash... i watched Easy A while I waited my 2 hours. The first nurse got my vein no problem. The second nurse couldn't find my vein, had to get the other nurse to help her. They ended up drawing blood from my hand... they said I could've drank water and that I was dehydrated.. i got the original person for my 3rd draw an hour later when I should've been even more dehydrated and she got my vein first try. So I think the middle draw and those two phlebotomists were dumb.. fingers crossed I get good news!
