@vlagrl29 I'm dreading Christmas too. It will be two years since I found out I was pregnant. That on top of everyone's Christmas morning pictures with matching pjs is just too much for me.
FW starts today. I told DH he better be ready tonight, haha.
@MooFish2364 - I love fall. The week of xmas last year was when I found out I was pregnant with our loss at 4 weeks preg. In 1 weeks time I was all excited and happy and then found out it was a chemical and loosing it. I'll just have to work a bit harder this year making sure december is a good month for us filled with great memories.
I’m hoping this is my last day in wto! My temp went up a little this morning, and my CM/CP seems to have changed too, so I have my fingers crossed that I o’d yesterday. Now hopefully FF will give me CH in a couple days!!
Edited to add after I had a chance to go back and catch up a bit...
It’s so funny how so many guys have no clue how reproduction works like many of you have said. I haven’t actually asked DH if he knows what’s going on, but now I’m curious... and I find it so ironic that with all of the planning and analyzing and everything that we do, we still don’t get pregnant when we want, and yet there are tons of accidental pregnancies every day. Not fair world!
@sprkls8506 sorry your TWW will be harder because of the timing.
@aga31 I stressed about it and wanted to buy some really expensive one that gave me my temp to the hundredths of a degree... My cheapo Nexcare one works just fine. Fertility Friend makes it super easy to chart and interpret, fortunately.
Ugh I’m so confused about what my body’s doing now. I was so convinced that I o’d on Tuesday, and was just waiting for FF to confirm after three more temps. CM and CP suggested that I o’d then, and Wednesday and Thursday, temps were slightly higher, but today my temp was lower again so no CH.
I’m not sure how much night waking or ambient room temperature affects my temp, but the last two nights I’ve been waking up a bunch and our room has been much colder (it’s been in the 40s at night and we keep the windows directly above our bed open all night), so not sure if this is screwing with things?
This is my first full cycle after my loss, and I just want things to be normal again... sorry for the rant ladies. At least it’s friday?
@aga31 The girls on TTGP used to have the Mabis as the 'gold standard.' It's like $8 on Amazon. And actually, walmart sells the same thermometer for about the same exact price, it's just doesn't have the 'mabis' brand on it. But agreed, almost any thermometer that goes down 2 numbers past the decimal is great.

Hey all! I'm here now, CD 2. Awful long wait for me to O as I O late...like after day 20. I'm hoping I'm just regulating after being on birth control but I wasn't on it for too long, so I dunno if that's it. I haven't really charted before so I have no reference. My chime in on the BBT thermometer-I got mine at Rite Aid for super cheap and it works just fine, FF shows my patterns and everything. I read somewhere that to be considered a "rise" in temp it has to go up .2 degrees, so I guess anything with a tenths place will work? @dpjennifer any particular reason for two numbers past the decimal? I'm semi new to all this.
for anyone wondering those ovulation tests at dollar tree work just fine. I'd rather spend $5 a month on OPks vs the $35 on digital clear blue easy. I confirmed with temping for just a few short days after I got the pos LH surge and I did in fact O 3 days after.
@vlagrl29 I was going to ask a similar question as I got closer to O ing...I had 6 days of positive OPK (wondfo) this last month before I confirmed with a temp rise and didn't know if I would have gotten the same kind of response with the Clear Blue, like maybe they were more accurate? GUess probably not!
@SmashJam I had such a hard time reading Wondfos. This was my first month using clear blue advanced. I had 5 days of blinking smileys and finally got my solid smiley at the end of day 5. I do think it's different for everyone tho. So many people use the wondfos!
SmashJam They're more specific. Depending on your body, it can offer a great difference in the shift. TCOYF addresses this issue MUCH better than I can.

All I'm saying is I had no idea I O'd so late in my cycle- day 19! That may be part of our problem - poor timing. From now on I'm using those dollar tests. Their pregnancy tests work too.
*lurking from TWW* I don't know if everyone does this, but I've started keeping my Wondfos, writing the date and AM/PM on them with Sharpie, and then taking a pic before I throw them away at the end of a cycle. That way I can go back and compare previous days and prior cycles to say "oh, that line is dark today but last month it was even darker than the control line right before O."
i was testing only two of my cycles with first response opk, the one that i got ku and after first post dnc period. the cycle that i got ku my lines were always very dark (as dark as control lines), and then i got darker ones for 3 days (cd 14-16) and then it went to very faint. the second time i tested I was very confused because i got equal lines at cd14, then darker on cd 15 and even darker at cd 16. i wasn't temping so i have no idea when i ovulated, but most of the opk instructions say to stop testing once you get first positive test. i just don't know why it kept going up for few days? so this cycle i got clear blue digital test and i am temping, so maybe that will resolve the mistery of my ovulation i also align my tests and write the cd numbers on them and take pictures. i guess it would be a good idea to keep those pictures to compare cycles, but for me it's like a reminder that i'm not pregnant yet, so once my af arrived i deleted all the pictures. just like i did for all the us pictures and bfp for my loss.
Thanks ladies. It sucks to be back here yet another month. My cycle is bizarre this month too. I called RE yesterday to let them know start of cycle and spoke with them this morning. Scheduled appt for US tomorrow but I think it's going to be cancelled bc I'm not having bright red flow. TMI but it's been very dark brown and then passed pretty good clot this morning. They asked it I took HPT which I took several last one on Thursday and all negative. So I don't know what to think
Still here waiting to O. I tend to ovulate late and I'm at CD14 today. I bought some cheap opk's this cycle so I'm using those and temping. And looks like DH won't be traveling during my fertile week so that is great!

it's cd12 and i have a smiley face? now i regret i haven't done a baseline lh test at cd5 or so, it's a first time I use clearblue test. Good thing I started temping this month, and also have US appointment tomorrow, so maybe I will be able to tell when I ovulate exactly. Also since my periods are so scant after DnC, it's is hard for me to tell what is a spotting and what is a flow so maybe I got the dates wrong? Ugh,why is my body acting so weird???? Good thing we did some AM BDing right before I took OPK!!!!
I had US yesterday to determine if we should start new treatments. AF was wonky this month like I had zero flow just spotting for 3 days and over. Said lining was thin but I'm good to start meds. They also confirmed with blood test that not pregnant. I started femara last night. Not real confident since lining thin and not real sure we should be taking meds since lining was thin but dr said it would thicken. I go next Monday for US so will know more than.
last round before my MC EDD. No pressure. None at all...
@Mack2342 I'm sorry you're having such a difficult month. It sounds like you have a good doctor who is involved though, I'm glad. I've got my FX for you.
@aga31 yay for the smiley! Sorry it's all so confusing. The first few months after MC are different for everyone but I think for all of us there were a lot of unexpected and unexplained changes. Hang in there- you'll get to a new normal at some point.
@jchpg it sucks that EDD is getting closer. My first one was this past March and two days later found out I was pregnant (bitter sweet) which of course we lost about a week or so later. That EDD is coming up in November and it's not looking like we will be pregnant for that one either. It's hard. FX that this one is yours
@Mack2342 How thin is too thin? FX that the new course of medication will be a success!
@jchpg I am terrified of my EDD approaching in January. Hang in there, things will eventually get better for all of us! Hopefully I don't have to wait for a perfect regular cycle to get my BFP!
@Mack2342 I had an ultrasound on CD3 and the technician told me that my lining was on the thin side. When I asked my doctor he seemed to think it was because my period just ended and that it would thicken. I've since had other tests done and specifically asked my RE about my lining and he said it was completely normal. Even though you didn't bleed much, maybe it was where your hormones are during the beginning of your cycle?
@MooFish2364 they said it would thicken. It was CD3 of my US. I'm trying not to read into it too much as I've never had a thin lining and AF was wacky so hopefully it changes in next few days
I don't believe the clear blue smiley faces! The test lines both yeasterday and today were way less intense than control lines, and it still gave me a smiley. I am almost certain that i will get darker line in a day or two, so i just have to check the tests visually now. In any case I have US today, so hopefully it will tell me where I stand in Oing business I showed my chart and the pictures of opk tests to my DH yesterday, he loved them ! When he heard me temping in the morning, he totally asked if it's going up yet and when I told him to just leave it to me he got upset that he wants to participate in the "experiment" as well. lol. we are both scientists, so we get way to excited about graphs
So I just saw my OB who said my lining and follicles look great and I have to chill down and maybe go for a romantic date instead of charting, planning and worrying. She also suggested acupuncture and patiently listened to all my crazy complains and gave me a month supply of natural pills that can help with my pms symptoms. I also asked to be seen in a different room than last few times, since it brings up awful memories. I guess I am feeling a little better now, although US alone cannot exclude intrauterine adhesions. I really have to relax, I have never been this way, hormones can seriously f... with your brain
