Remember the feeling around 35 weeks or so when your knees feel so heavy that it hurts to sleep without a pillow between them? I've been experiencing that for a few weeks now. Why and stop!
I've been feeling that way too! Restless leg syndrome is in high gear as well.

@LiveNLove44 Hubby also felt the need to remind me that I'm nearly a decade older from when we had our first, so my body probably just isn't handling it as well. Which.. he's probably right, but I'm still young. Don't remind me I'm getting older!
@scoogy19 I keep water by the bed and end up filling it once a night. Either way I'd wake up to pee and I clearly need it. Ha. I know the relaxin seems to be hitting me earlier this time. Maybe I'm just noticing it earlier since I know what it is??
@scoogy19 I busted out my snoogle last night and loved it! I have been having issues with my hips and lower back while sleeping too, maybe it's because this is our second?
@mdfarmchick I drink so much water throughout the night that I have been getting up to pee at least 3 times!! It makes me not want to drink water but then I wake up with a major headache.
Bloated, tired, and nauseaous all day and night...so hard to work full time, mother a toddler, have a long commute, while feeling sick allllll day It will all be worth it, it will all be worth it...
This is me, too. I have to keep reminding myself that it is all for a very worthwhile causes. But man do I feel like crap!
So this is my 2nd and I truly thought this time would be easier since I've done it once before. But my anxiety seems worse than last time! I know its hormones but I have a hard time settling down. Sleep is difficult. When I finally do fall asleep, I'm up every hour. Momma needs some zen in her life to calm these nerves!!

@Kristi4938 I felt the same way when I was pregnant with our second. I actually had a few panic attacks, the first I had in a few years, during my first trimester with DS. I was surprised because I felt the same as you're describing. Like I know I can't control most of this, and I know I can have a healthy pregnancy, so why am I so nervous?? Honestly, for me it was the idea that I had this beautiful, healthy little girl at home, and part of me was scared because I didn't know how our life with her would change. I know it's different for everyone, but you're not alone in the STM nerves. I hope you have some good days on the horizon!
Dreams, dreams, and more dreams! I can't stop dreaming. Some of the dreams are great, some I cannot remember, but last night's dream - baaaaaaaaby! It was awful. It was like a horror film. I was being chased by these people who were trying to kill me. But it was almost as if they were ghosts or sprits. I'm telling you! It was exactly like a horror film. I woke up scared! Lol. The worst part of these dreams is that I wake up in the morning exhausted because they are impacting my sleep. I read somewhere on here that vivid dreams are par for the course with pregnancy. I am going to look further into it and see if there is anything that can be done and what is causing them, other than just being pregnant, because something has to give!

Thanks so much for the well wishes! The anxiety has been nuts but I'm trying to focus on what a blessing this truly is. It's funny because I go from periods of elation and tears of joy to intense fear and anxiety and back again! The joys of pregnancy!! I hope you have some good days ahead as well!
My unisom and b6 are just not cutting it anymore. I couldn't keep anything down yesterday. It's hard to tell if I feel worse this time or if it's just harder because I have a toddler to take care of! Either way, I'll be calling my OB tomorrow. Ugh.
Super nauseous and tired allllll the time. Having slight pain on the left side, and found out at the dating u/s Friday I have an 8 cm cyst on my ovary. Dr wasn't too concerned but said I need to limit activity (no gym/running/yoga) and walking only, which is fine because I feel so tired anyway to be doing that.
@SoFlaMommie1128 I had a cyst on my ovary when I was pregnant with DS, and my OB wasn't concerned either. It sounded like it's pretty common and related to hormone fluctuations. My understanding is that they can grow and shrink (or go away) throughout a person's cycle, too. I know this doesn't change much, but maybe just added peace of mind!
Thank you @LiveNLove44! Yes, the more I read, the more I am seeing how common it is. Hoping it goes away completely. I have another u/s in 4 weeks to check on it, so on the plus side, I get to see LO again then
I feel like my stomach acid has increased and gotten exponentially more acidic, and I think that's what's contributing to my all-day sickness the past few days. at any given time, I'm hyper aware of my stomach and whatever is in it. I've been taking tums but I don't want to overdo it, especially when 1 at a time doesn't do enough. I'm worried about the commute and work over the next 3 days.

Edited: tums, not tuna. Gag.
@isntthatspeshul I started with Tums in both of my pregnancies, and with DD, I refused to take anything else. When it got even worse in my second pregnancy, I had to do something, and I ended up taking Zantac for the last 6 weeks or so. A few lessons I learned that hopefully help you a little (sorry if you already know this stuff): 1) Take a look at acidic foods and see if you can cut any of them down or out of your diet. 2) Peppermint actually causes the sphincter muscle to relax and allows for more acid to come up. This was a huge surprise to me but made a huge difference to cut out. 3) Things that my mom and I both experience, but may be unique to an individual: Some artificial sweeteners and preservatives have the same effect as an acidic food. For instance, there are some bottled waters that would cause my AR to flare. Thankfully, some of the cheapest bottled waters don't have these additives. Also, some pre-made bakery items have preservatives that can make it worse.
I have to be sensitive to these things again this time around because my AR started even sooner. By the end of my second pregnancy, I was taking Zantac 150, and while I didn't like taking anything while pregant, it was the only thing that kept me from feeling like I was drowning in acid, especially at night.
I hope it calms down for you as the first trimester wraps up, but maybe some of these things will help you out until then! GL!
Flame me if this isn't the right place for this! I looked around and figured this was the best place to go. So I've had brown spotting yesterday and today. I'm 5w2d today. Some mild cramping last night. The spotting didn't seem enough to go to the ER but I'm going to call my doctors office when it open again tomorrow AM. Any others experience this? No sex or anything I can think of that would have triggered it. Trying not too worry too much until I follow up with my doctor but it's hard to not let my mind worry!
@isntthatspeshul Everything that @LiveNLove44 said about acid reflux, plus I wanted to add that CHOCOLATE is another one of those things that relaxes the sphincter. I hate having to give it up, but it really helps.
@isntthatspeshul@LiveNLove44 I have to avoid sparking water of any kind now or I get the worst indigestion ever! So maybe watch that, too. (Bummer, because it's all that really sounds good to drink).

@scotiagirl I had that with my DD and DS but not this time, both times though it was just after 5 weeks. I just assumed it was related to implantation bleeding and it wasn't much. Try to get some rest and call the doc in the morning for extra peace of mind. Sending positive thoughts!
@LiveNLove44 thank you!! Really appreciate this. With my first i started spotting at 17 weeks and it didn't stop until I was put on restrictions (no lifting, sex, exercise, etc) for the rest of the pregnancy. Had a healthy baby girl so everything worked out, but it just makes me nervous seeing spotting again as it brings back those vulnerable times. Thank you for the reassurance!!
I had THE most vivid dream last night that my BFF seduced my DH into having an affair!!! We were at her cottage all weekend and I could barely look at her today because I was so angry and hurt! I cried to DH this morning because it felt so real.
@scotiagirl I had brown spotting from before my BFP until about 7 weeks (I had bright red bleeding at about 6 weeks) when I finally got put on a progesterone supplement. The spotting stopped the day I went on my supplement and everything has been fine since. Definitely call the doc but try not to stress
the heartburn is so real tonight. I'm sitting in front of the toilet because not only does my all day sickness make me want to vomit, but now heartburn is also doing it for me. Can 2nd trimester be here yet?
Thank you @arhodes6! I'll be calling the doc this AM. Got a good sleep last night so that always helps with managing the worry! I hope that things continue to go well for you!
@LiveNLove44 I'm going to buy some Zantac today. I NEED relief from this, it's just awful. I was so naive last pregnancy! Thank you for the suggestions and info, and @wisewitch222 and @chasingroygbiv, two of my favorite things! Chocolate and seltzer. Bahhhh!
