I've had on and off extremely sore boobs. Slight to no nausea, and fatigue. I was surprised and was nervous at first with how little nausea or morning sickness I have had. But I went to the Dr at 7w3day's and there was a fast and healthy heartbeat. Guess I'm just lucky.

  • @bb3vj3n I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. Hope your Dr gets back to you soon!

@bb3vj3n Glad to hear your feeling a little better. Hopefully your doc geta back to you quickly. Pretty terrible that the hospital doctor didn't write you a small prescription to tide you over.
  • So far my symptoms are nothing like my first which is ok but worrisome at the same time. With my DS I was constantly sick kept very little food down for 9 months i had MS all day. Now i have MS in the morning and once i eat i feel fine i just have to keep snacking. Like others when i eat a meal i feel full and bloated.
  • @bb3vj3n Glad you're feeling better.  I think having your OB make sure you're getting a pg safe medication is better than just taking something an ER dr would prescribe.  OBs are pg experts and ER drs are not. I'd for sure keep calling your OB's office until they get back to you though.  Mine always call back within a few hours (or early the next day if late in the day).

  • @bb3vj3n oh my goodness I'm so sorry. Hope you can get to feeling better soon!
  • So my OB called me back and has sent in a prescription for "diclectin" (sp).

He said it may make me pretty drowsy but I can't imagine it's possible to be even more tired than I am so if it helps with the nausea - I'm down. Has anyone taken it before?

Also again sorry for the TMI but I am still getting really tough gas pains and diarrhea. it doesn't last long but when the pain hits is brutal. Suggestions?
  • So I called the doctor today about my heart palpitations and shortness of breath and they told me if it happens again to go to the ER but I should make an appointment with my PCP to get checked out. I'm going to make an appointment with my PCP and go from there.

@bb3vj3n I hope you start feeling better soon and the script helps.
  • @bb3vj3n, I took Diclectin with my last pregnancy. I was throwing up 4x a day and my OB prescribed it. I was really resistive to taking meds but she said there's no reason to be puking so much. I took 4 pills a day (2 at night, 1 morning and 1 in afternoon). She said I could Up the 1 pills to 2 if it wasn't helping.

It definitely took the edge off. I still threw up maybe 1-2x a day. I was already fatigued so really didn't notice a difference with that.

@bb3vj3n I've taken Diclectin. I was on that dosage and it really helped. I was on it my entire 1st pregnancy. The mild exhaustion it gave me for a couple hours in the morning was barely noticable, because I was actually able to function. It was a literal life saver.
  • I am tired and in mood swing hell. I hate everything and I am hungry.

  • Oh ladies, I seriously empathize with you! My first 2 pregnancies were just like what you are describing. I had to stay home from work, throwing up 5+ times a day, could hardly get out of bed for weeks. I took zofran and diclectin and both just made me even more tired. It lasted about 16 weeks with both. Just know there is a light at the end of the tunnel, and give yourself as much grace as you need. Do whatever you have to, to survive! Now on my third pregnancy, I have hardly had any nausea. I'm on edge waiting for it to come, but hoping maybe this time will be different. Be easy on yourselves, growing a baby is hard work!

  • Anybody else dealing with light headedness?  Two nights ago I got really light headed, pale, sweaty, and nauseous.  And it happened this morning too.  I was able to recover by lying down, drinking some water, and eating a little something, but I never had anything like this last time.  Is MS like this for anybody else?

  • Yes, it's just like that for me. I put an ice pack on the back of my neck and lay down. Usually helps but I still tend to feel icky the rest of the day. @becausescience
  • @chasingroygbiv Thanks for the ice pack tip.  Ugh I hope this doesn't become common for me though.

@becausescience those symptoms exactly were what made me think I might be pregnant the first time around. It's also how I feel when hungover, and I remember thinking "the hell? I didn't even drink last night." Perfectly normal.
  • @becausescience, I've been crazy lightheaded and dizzy this pregnancy. Never experienced it before. Getting up in the MOTN for my toddler is terrible because I can barely get out of bed. I've read progesterone can do this. I'm on supplements. But maybe just an increase naturally can cause it too? Not sure if you're on them or not.
  •  5 weeks 1 day.  Gas pains all day long and cramping/round ligament stretching. More nausea on and off throughout the day, but no throwing up. Even in my other 2 pregnancies I had nausea but no vomiting; it's almost like having a hangover.
I have a lot of energy in the morning, but want a nap by 2pm and would love to sleep the rest of the day. My boobs are only a little sore when on wear specific bras; when I wear my bigger bras I don't feel anything.

  • Any headache remedies?? I'm so cranky and did not have this with my first. :disappointed:
  • Struggling with them here, too. @mdfarmchick I've had one since 10 pm last night and it's not going away.  :(

I'm sleeping like crap about every 1-2 nights, and SO exhausted. I had some minor cramping last week (never had that with DS), off and on nausea, and I'm either starving or cannot stand the site of food. Plus, irritable and more impatient than usual.

  • Holy bloating, Batman. Also, my boobs hurt so much, I can't even enjoy a shower. Also also, horrible dizzy spells. It's getting really old, really quickly. :(
  • @LiveNLove44 I could have written this. I cannot believe I am only 9 weeks. I look at least 4 months. Normal pants are not in my future anymore. Maternity clothes it is.
  • I'm almost ready to bust out my maternity leggings for my blump. The bloating  :o
  • I know it could be so much worse (usually I'm vomiting 4x a day by this point). But holy diarrhea. It's exhausting running to the bathroom :(
  • Ugh, I'm five weeks today and wore the BellaBand for the first time today. I knew I would need maternity clothes sooner this time but I did not expect it to be immediate!
  • I have not kept anything down today  :'( I was starting to wonder if it was a stomach bug but it's smells as well as food that bother me. DH had to come home from work early to watch our 1 year old so I could sleep. I felt so much better after sleeping but as soon as I got up felt pukey again. I reallyyyy hope this is a short-lived thing. I had lots of dry heaving my first pregnancy but not puking up entire meals. Sorry for the TMI... just feeling lousy today! I'm almost 9 weeks so it shouldn't be too much longer I hope!
  • I'm also pretty sick today @scoogy19 The migraines are really kicking me down and not helping with the nausea and neither is the awful humidity.  :s Hope it eases up for all soon!
  • Is anyone else ridiculously cold??? Every evening I am just shaking I am so cold.
  • Omg @chasingroygbiv I grabbed an ice pack and rotated it around my head and neck and it dulled the ache quite a bit. My sister has peppermint essential oil that I'm willing to try tomorrow because I'm almost at the non-functioning point. I didn't have this with DS!
  • @justkeeptrying Today I found myself wearing a blanket in 80+ degrees. Pretty sure MH thinks I'm losing my mind at this point...
  • We are twins @mdfarmchick I'm not much of an essential oil girl, but my old co-worker made me a roller specifically for migraines/nausea (peppermint and lavender maybe?).. anyway, I put some on my fingers and massage it on my temples and it does take the edge off unless it's a real severe one. Then nothing helps... I had tons of headaches with DS, some with DD, so this is the one (and only) symptom making me question if this is another boy! And I'll happily take either! Whoever it is hanging out in there is going to hear about this nausea though!!  ;)
  • Headache ladies! Did you see my comment about physical therapy? It's a must!! I was having debilitating migraines and myofascial release ended them completely! Zero headaches or anything of the sort!

I also see an acupuncturist for other symptoms.
  • Any headache remedies?? I'm so cranky and did not have this with my first. :disappointed:
Check your prenatals. I get bad headaches if I take prenatals with iron in them. I have to find the ones that don't have any at all and I don't have any headache issues!

Constipated! I only had this much later last time. I'm nervous that I'm going to end up with haemorrhoids if this keeps up. Already taking stool softeners daily. Yikes :(
I was so constipated and having terrible gas pains last week. Someone suggested putting feet up on a step stool while sitting on the toilet and between that and the stool softeners it finally worked. It's such an uncomfortable feeling. I hope that works for you.
