@TravelingCouple omg yayyyyy!!!! Congrats! As for inspectors, find one as said above who will try and touch EVERYTHING. They should try to turn on every burner on the stove. They should get under the crawl space. They should blast the a/c AND turn on the heat. They should see how long the water runs hot for. Every dumb thing.
Congratulations!! @TravelingCouple !!! That is so exciting :)
You guys, I am exhausted. I'm just so frikking tired. I dunno if it's still just pms not helping or what but I feel like I need a break from everything. I am so glad I don't have to get up for work tomorrow, since cd 1 is predicted today... or tomorrow now maybe. I thought I would be feeling so excited now that insurance is elected (!!!), his procedure is approaching, this is my last AF before my testing cycle etc., but I'm just exhausted. Maybe my energy will return as we get closer again - or if fx we do find sperm!!! But in the meantime, just ughh. I know I was kind of saying that earlier in the week too. I wish I felt better but I don't. Yet.
So please wish me luck today... I've been up since 515 getting DH on his way, took a few minutes to "rest," and now I gotta get up off the couch here and get dressed to go... try to find my happy place! Lol stop for gas too so i gotta leave in plenty of time. God give me strength!!!
@BusinessWife Hope today goes quickly so you find yourself back in bed soon!
Thanks ladies! Ahh, were all of you nervous when you bought you first home? I keep going from holy-crap-I'm-so-excited to holy-crap-is-this-the-right-decision. It's the biggest purchase we'll ever make in our lives, I'm guessing.
@TravelingCouple Yes and no. At the end of the day, all big decisions are scary, even if they are right. I was mostly worried about 'is this the right house for a starter home' than if buying a house in general was the right choice. If it makes more financial sense than renting, then yes, buying is the right choice. Then its just up to you if you like the house and it sounds like you do, so its probably the right choice. You can do this!
@TravelingCouple it is a scary process and a huge decision! After 12 years of renting, 5 of which were in a high market/high price area, we were ready to buy. We looked at several options and finally found "the one." With that said, I don't see us living in this house forever. We would like to move into something larger in the future, but it's great for where we are in life right now. Just make sure you ask all the questions, especially about whether the owners are aware of any foundation problems or wood destroying insects.
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
@TravelingCouple I know how you feel--it's a huge purchase!! I definitely was nervous, especially since when we bought our house it was out of state so our move was much more complicated. But once the closing was done I was so relieved. Hope the inspection goes well!
@BusinessWife I hope your day gets better and you get some rest.
AFM: Had my follicle check this morning! Leftie had follicles measuring 21 and 15 and rightie had 18,14, and 12. My lining was 4.35mm though which is kind of worrying. I have to wait for a call back later with instructions but hopefully IUI Sunday or Monday!

@BusinessWife Big hugs to you, love... Try and remember that it's normal to have moments that just seem to be too much - that's true with anything this big and this difficult. Keep trying to find your happy place, and we'll be here with you for support along the way
@TravelingCouple yay congrats!! I agree with all the advice you've already gotten! The only thing I would add is if you find issues, negotiate! They want to sell the house just as bad if not more so then you want to buy it. Sometimes the excitement makes certain things from the home inspection seem like not a big deal the little things who cares but the ones that count definitely have your lawyer address them!! We've bought 2 houses and sold one it's definitely a stressful process but well worth it!
@BusinessWife I hope the day goes as smoothly as possible for you! You got this! Hugs
@shortstack930 yay for good follies!!! So what's gonna happen with the IUI will you trigger tonight? What are they going to do to make sure the timing of the IUI is right this time? And did they mention concerns about your lining? Do you usually take progesterone after O?
HSG went well - tubes are clear and look good. So onto the next thing I guess? Hopefully DH's SA will have good results - question: I helped DH with his sample this morning, and it didn't look like a ton, maybe a tsp? Is that a normal amount? DH was like, that's it? I know it's super concentrated but I thought there'd be more
@TravelingCouple -- congratulations! I'm so happy for you! We are hoping to buy a house next year, so it's great to see happy stories. @BusinessWife -- you've got this! We just have to have faith that the retrievals will go well. I know it's scary and it seems like this time is taking foreverrr to pass, but I'm rooting for you so hard!

@shortstack930 AWESOME!! Please report back when you know your plan.
@RVAmom315 So glad to hear about your HSG! MH didn't produce a lot the morning of our IUI or the day of his SA months ago and we thought for sure it would be a problem, but it totally was normal. A tsp is totes fine. GL!
@RVAmom315 glad to hear the HSG went well! Did you take any pain meds before? The only instruction I was given was to not have sex and I have to do a PG test within 24 hours. My DH hasn't done his SA yet, so I don't have any knowledge on that.
Me: 31 DH: 32 Dating since: 11/17/2001 Married: 9/26/2009 TTC: June 2016
@vflux33 and @BertieMeetsGertie Thanks ladies! I did take 1 Advil about an hour beforehand - I feel fine now. The most painful part for me was when he inserted the speculum! They did a beta right beforehand - and of course here I am like, oh maybe I'm a SS (even though I just finished AF 2 days prior) The tech said I'm sorry but it's negative - I'm like, well duh! I would've been shocked if it wasn't. She didn't seem amused. Ha!
@beachbunnyxo123 I'm thinking they'll have me trigger tonight or tomorrow for IUI either Sunday or Monday. They brought me in earlier for monitoring this time (CD 10 instead of CD13 last time) to ensure that we get the timing right. They mentioned that the lining was on the thin side but the doctor has to review everything first (I only saw the ultrasound tech and nurse today) so when they call later they'll let me know if I should take anything for it. I've never done progesterone before.
@Sailing_Mama they definitely said it was thin, last month it was 5mm and now it's just over 4mm, so I'm hoping they'll do something about it.

@RVAmom315 glad the hsg went well. And yes a tsp is totally normal!! Not to be graphic, apologize for the TMI but doesn't it look like a lot less then it feels like for us? Lol
Congrats @TravelingCouple! It is definitely expected to be nervous. We bought our first house last year and I still have palpitations when I think about how much we have to pay off but I wouldn't go back to renting for anything. Also for the inspection definitely find someone who is thorough but don't worry too much about the little things. All houses will have some issues, more so if it's an older house.
@BusinessWife I hope you get everything done quickly and can go back to resting today. Wishing you enough strength and energy to get through this all. Hugs to you girl!
@RVAmom315 My DH also thought his volume would be low on his first SA but turns out that was normal (even though it had no sperm in it lol). 1 tsp sounds normal but they will also report on the volume as part of the work-up.
@shortstack930 Yay for the follies and good luck with the IUI!
Woo hoo, got my plan! The RE wants to wait a couple of days to let my lining thicken a bit so they want me to do the trigger shot Sunday night for IUI Tuesday morning. They told me to take ovulation tests over the weekend and if I get a positive I have to call right away and they'll do the IUI the next day.

Guys I got my period! And I'm excited (yes, this is a first) BUT it means I could call the RE and schedule my baseline bloodwork and ultrasound as well as last two tests. And then we move forward. I'm praying everything goes well because it sounded like as long as it does...he was ready to jump right into IUI this cycle. Eek!!

@RVAmom515 I agree with all the other girls. Mh commented on it and swore that something went wrong. I think its just that both partners aren't used to seeing "the load" anymore so we just have no idea how much is going on. FX for your H's results. Congrats on the good HSG

Thanks ladies!! I drove by the house again today and I still love it. I saw the neighbors on each side outside and really wanted to say hi, but didn't want to be a random freak either. I think we're all going to drive by it again tonight and if they're outside I'll say hi with DH and DS there.
BUT it means I could call the RE and schedule my baseline bloodwork and ultrasound as well as last two tests. And then we move forward. I'm praying everything goes well because it sounded like as long as it does...he was ready to jump right into IUI this cycle. Eek!!

@RVAmom315 I wasn't with my H but he came home after his SA and said, "I'm worried there wasn't very much? But I guess it's the first time I've jerked into a cup." He's so good with his words..
@TravelingCouple So exciting about the house! Congrats!
@BusinessWife I hope you found some energy to get through the day. You'll find your IF warrior mojo soon I'm sure. I know how you feel. I literally cannot get psyched that we are finally having the repeat SA on Monday.
@RVAmom515 I agree with all the other girls. Mh commented on it and swore that something went wrong. I think its just that both partners aren't used to seeing "the load" anymore so we just have no idea how much is going on. FX for your H's results. Congrats on the good HSG
@shortstack930 I hope the stars align for you and your IUI!!
