@DuchessOfCambridge Mine is a tiny squint of a hole now. I can't imagine it stretching more without disappearing!!
AFM, today is my first day of summer and I get to work on baby's room / pick up baby stuff from my sister's house. I loaned it to when friends gave it to me two years ago and I'm praying she kept it all in good condition.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
My belly button is still a major indent and won't give! It makes my 'bump' look funny from the side like I have two small bellies. I guess this means I haven't 'popped' yet? Baby is low, but the area around my belly button is super hard and bigger so I think organs have taken up residence in my upper stomach. But they didn't want to go in the mid-section. Bodies are amazingly weird!
@NYTino24 I just search on zillow to see what I can find. When we had a different duty station (orders changed) we were able to line up a townhouse and sign the lease digitally over a month in advance. We won't be doing that this time. It's a good thing orders changed because the apartment community had a drive by shooting 1 week after I notified them that we wouldn't be getting stationed there. It's nice to have a list so we can make calls right away and also to see what the quality of housing is like overall and what rents are like.
@DuchessOfCambridge My belly button too! I just told my fiance the other day that my belly button is almost flat already! Mine never popped out last time, just got flat but I think this time it's going to pop out.
Oh man if I didn't wear sunscreen I would be in trouble. I wore spf 8 once to try and get a tan and ended up with honest to goodness sun poisoning. I was so red I was purple, woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and passed out on the way to the bathroom. It was really scary. Now every time I start to get red at all I basically panic.
My belly button went flat and barely popped right at the end last time. My belly button popped at 15 weeks this time lol I think it's kinda cute with my little 17 week baby bump! Plus I can pop it in and out by moving my belly and my husband thinks it's as funny (and weird looking) as I do.
Never in my life have I gone up sizes this fast it's kind of incredible really, that my body can grow a whole human being in such a relatively short period of time.
I really miss DH. He's been traveling for work. Last week he was in Nebraska Mon-Fri and this week he's in Connecticut and NH. This is the longest he's been gone. DS keeps crying for him. I feel bad that he doesn't understand where daddy is.
DH's aunt got us the playpen from our registry already. My MIL has no clue how she even knew where I was registered because shower invites haven't gone out yet and she didn't tell her. She had it shipped to our Korean address and it got forwarded here. I didn't even know she had our address haha.
Anyway, it's a nice gift but boy are they a PITA to assemble and disassemble. I didn't realize the whole thing had to be taken apart to fold it up but I think all playpens are like that.
@slaven define taken apart? We have to take out the mat from our playpen but then that's it and the mat is used to help wrap it up. I'm just wondering because in my experience they can be pretty simple (we could be talking about totally different things) but worth checking into to see if you might want to return for something more convenient if that's a possibility?

@bcashaw I think you ladies are talking about two different things...
@bcashaw The normal playpen part is easy but they pretty much all come with bassinet features that have to be taken apart in order to fold the whole thing. We'll be using the bassinet part as a secondary sleeping area and won't have to disassemble it often but it was a pain.
eta: all the rods that hold the bassinet part up and in shape have to be removed for storing the playpen
@DuchessOfCambridge This was one part of parenthood no one mentioned. Kids doing a #2 immediately after a diaper change. And diaper changes are stressful for me. He moves, he twists and turns, he tries to reach for things 3 feet away. So when I have to do it after immediately getting through one it's a big WHY ME moment.
DS half took off his diaper and got poop all over everything in my living room, I puked accordingly. Sending all the solidarity to you @ElizabethSchuyler!!
@ShePersisted@DuchessOfCambridge I also want to read that to my son. I've been thinking a lot about raising a son and what values, ideals, understanding etc. I want him to have, paticularly in regards to women.
We're almost done with the last of the three new episodes of Sherlock on Netflix. Thank goodness!! Sorry for my constant stream of bumping lately in the evening I've been paying very little attention...
Nothing's wrong with FB, just new people see we have one and keep asking to join after only posting a couple times. Got tired of rejecting people. It won't stop them from messaging me to get added but it will stop the thread from continuously getting bumped up. It's actually really great to have the FB group on a day like today.
@ShePersisted nothing happened it just seems pointless to have a thread open about it that's going to keep coming up when the regs know ( and likely won't forget or can ask again later) who to message when they're ready.
