Finally did some work on the nursery over the weekend. Still needs another coat of paint but I'm excited to be able to post on this thread, finally!

@cwalker is the whole room going to be one color?

@NYTino24 no, all but one wall are the same color. All of the walls were white to begin with. The one wall is an accent wall that the crib will go on.

Obviously not complete but I started on the nursery decor! We are in a rental so we can't paint the walls so I'm doing a lot of decor to make up for it

This is what we've got going so far for TBD-sex twins. My mom is also making gray and mint quilts to lay over the sides of the cribs when they're not sleeping. I still want to make some shelves and need to get a floor lamp but we're running out of space! Two cribs will do that, I guess.

Finished our book wall with painted Ikea spice racks (only $4 each) and got this wall quote for $6

I love the spice rack idea! I have a couple of books I want to display for sure.

@dragonfly87-2 did you paint the spice racks or do they come in different colors? I'd like to get some for DS room but not that color.

@cwalker042  I painted them. They come in a light wood color to start with and no finish. So easy to paint any color.

@dragonfly87-2 Zulily has this under Schylling. Even if the colors don't work for you, it's cheap enough to paint without feeling guilty!

@NYTino24 Wow, that's a lot of toys! We have quite a few, but that's an impressive amount.

@dragonfly87-2 I have already given some away! And that's just a few from a friend and one of my sisters. The five trucks take up a bin each and need a new home. I asked for people not to buy toys or clothes on our registry. I really hope people listen!

@NYTino24 no I do everything free hand. I have a silhouette but only use that for clothes or stickers ..I don't use it for signs.
@dragonfly87-2  thank you! I love painting but don't have the space/time anymore so I've been doing a few things here and there to calm me

Figured I'd get this thread going again. Hope no one minds. We finally put the crib together. We still have a lot more to do. However, we've pretty much haulted any further decorating due to a promotion I put in for at work, which would require us to move across the country. So until I know what's going on, we have stopped any further decorating of our house

So I realized I never shared photos of the room. This isn't all but it shows a lot. We have the ahoy sign up until we get his name sign - no one knows his name so it keeps people from bothering us

I love the native and woodland decor that is in alot of stores now.  I decided to do.a Woodland/Native theme in Pink with flowers.  Still in progress but I love it!!

Now I don't know what to do. We painted and I don't like it, it's too much white but I'm not loving the blue enough for it to be the whole room.  I wanted more of a cream or beige and apparently I suck at colors.

I LOVE looking at everyone's nurseries!  I still have a lot to do!  Room is painted, and we have a rug, and I just ordered the glider/ recliner!  Waiting for my shower to order the rest, and then I can't wait to post pictures!
