xp - implantation bleeding? please come in!

I had implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy and then no bleeding after.  I'm about 4 weeks now and had some (at least what I believe to be) implantation bleeding on Monday.  This morning there appeared to be more (brownish, very light). 

Of course now, the OCD person in me is thinking that perhaps 2 eggs implanted? Is this ridiculous? If you had implantation bleeding with your multiples, did you have it at separate times?

I did have several episodes of early bleeding, but it was not a result of the two embryos implanting -- I had a subchorionic hemmorhage. 

There are myriad causes of bleeding in early pregnancy, some of which are bad, and some of which are harmless.  Frequently, light spotting is caused by vascularization in the cervix, which is easily irritated in early pregnancy. 

Call your doctor just to be safe.  He may want to test your progesterone or your HCG levels.  Good luck!

I had implantation bleeding with the twins (not with my singleton) and then a few other instances of spotting/bleeding due to placenta previa. ?Although it was never brownish in color always bright red. ?I still don't know much about twin pregnancies, but I'm not sure a second bleed indicates twins. ?Although I could be wrong :-) ?

I never had any bleeding or spotting with my twins. I would seriously doubt it was an indicator or multiples. Though, I am kind of chuckeling at the sheer terror you must have felt when the notion hit you. And if there wasn't sheer terror, please come baby sit my 21m old twins for the afternoon

LOL! Yes, sheer terror is a good way to put it. The thought of having newborn twins and an 18 month old is very scary to me!

I had some brown spotting right around the time my period was supposed to come.  A few days later I had some bright red bleeding that stopped right away.  I went to the doctor and taht was when we found out we had twins.  I was about 5 weeks along at that point.  Good luck!

I had no implantation bleeding in my twin pregnancy. I had brown spotting at 13.5 weeks (unexplained). Best of luck!!

Thank you all for your responses. I haven't had any other bleeding today... If it turns out to be twins, you'll certainly be hearing from me!  Have fun with all your beautiful babies!

I just checked my chart and I had no implantation bleeding with my twins. I had one incidence of one tiny spot of blood on the TP but that was around 10w.
