@leekat14 Oh nooo this is terrible news. I am so so sorry. I hope you take some time to yourself and regroup when you are feeling ready. I'll be thinking of you.
@eggplantface Eeep! I’m so excited for your FET I almost went
into publishing! I’m fascinated you do it as a hobby. What route do you take?
@KristoKekerooni Hugs for awful timing FX the surgery did
the trick and you won’t even have to think about it I do the same thing,
daydreaming conversations and announcements before falling asleep. It only
makes me feel worse, but you can’t help it sometimes. I think it’s awesome you’re
trying to be so proactive and prepared for whatever may be headed your way. I
hope it doesn’t drive you too crazy though! What kind of places do you
volunteer for?
@antoto We’re so frickin’ ready for this for you! Let’s get
this started!
@heatherdubrow Estrogen to take away the migraines, plus
Hawaii, plus moving, PLUS your FET! It’s all happening Stay stoked!
@leekat14, I am so, so sorry about your disappointing ER results. So many hugs headed your way.
Technically it's a new field, though I do have some background in a large part of what the company does.
@lulu1180, I don't have anything to add regarding tips to thicken your lining. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that you and others haven't already mentioned. However, I did want to point out that one of the side effects of Clomid can be a thinned uterine lining. For that reason, my RE plans on skipping straight to injectibles if we do IUI. I'm not positive, but I don't believe Femara carries the same side effect. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!
@LadyMillil, that is fantastic news, congratulations!!!
ETA: I missed one! @antoto, yay for getting started this week, how exciting!!! I will have everything crossed that all goes well for you!
@leekat14 Oh no, I am so sorry. Are you willing to do another ER, with a different protocol maybe?
@LoveInDC With my friend's books, she wrote the text and paid an illustrator for the pictures. I used those to do the layout and added some other design elements, and did the covers, then put them on Amazon/CreateSpace. We haven't made any money off it (although I suspects she wishes we were), but I'm just happy to have the creative outlet. I love doing layout, as boring as it sounds!

@leekat14 I'm so sorry to hear it. Take some time to rage or grieve today. This is horribly unfair.
I hope there's another way forward or another protocol for you. I also hope your RE has an explanation for what happened and why. I remember your diagnosis being endometriosis -- could this be related to that? Is there something different they can do for you in the future?
@lulu1180 *TW Yeah, my mom was in an experimental study for Parlodel in the 70s and she was the 2nd person in the study who got KU on it, and the first in the study to carry to term. It worked with TI on her first cycle with my sister and her second for me. This was after all the standard hormone treatments at the time including Clomid had failed for her (no IUI or IVF back then). So I'll be watching your progress intently and keeping many FX that it works as well for you as it did for her. *end TW

@leekat14 Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry. I wish I had something comforting to say. That is so awful. So many big hugs to you today.
@laurad75 I donated eggs like a million years ago. I'm not sure how much help I can be, but I doubt the process has changed much. I'm totally happy to talk about any part of it if you would like. Also, I'm totally thinking about you and hoping you are doing OK.
@adirat I hope you are able to get off the bench very soon. It really sucks that you are still having to deal with the physical aftermath when the emotional part is already enough to take down an elephant.
@heatherdubrow I just have to confess that not only do I picture you as Fancy Pants herself, but I hear your updates in her voice. She's my favorite, so that's cool Diagnosis: DOR/AMA
Cycle/CD: 20 (13AL)/CD15
Status: WTO, although I'm pretty convinced I O'd yesterday
What are you doing this cycle: Just finished our last natural try before doing IUI with OH's frozen swimmers
How are things going: Things are going as well as they can, I guess. We did get some troubling news with OH's last deposit into our frozen sperm arsenal. Apparently his count had gone down since the previous time. We're hoping it's a fluke and/or we didn't abstain long enough. Anyway, we will "jerk him off into a cup" tomorrow, and then again next Tuesday and Thursday and see where we are in terms of number of frozen vials after that. Hopefully we'll have enough, and at that point, OH can FINALLY begin treatment for his low T.
In the middle of all of this was FW. So we got one whole trip down to pound town within FW on Saturday night. If I'm correct that I O'd yesterday, at least it's decent -1 timing. But really, it was mostly just not wanting to waste that one opportunity to try to be the unicorn that gets KU before medical intervention...even though this is by far our worst timing since we began TTC almost 18 months ago.
**TMI warning** Also, I was inspired after all the butt play talk in FFFC last week to break out the old butt plug and get in some double penetration action. I forgot just how great that feels and we had the best sex we've had in quite some time. OH would thank you all for getting me there, if he knew I am on this board, LOL. **End TMI warning.
Any questions: Nope
GTKY: In high school I was a total book nerd, but I also was a participation nerd. I served on student council, in several clubs, edited the yearbook for two years and was on staff for like four (my HS was 7 - 12), and played tennis, basketball, and volleyball (the last for like a minute). The sports I was moderately to very bad at. These days I listen to Audible books on my commute sometimes, read the online paper at lunch, and used to consistently train for marathons and half marathons. Life got too busy to continue regular training, and for a while I gave up running altogether. I did hike, because trails are my happy place, and now I'm trying to return to short-distance trail running. Oh, and I volunteer at a local Children's Home nursery, but that's mostly to fill the gaping hole in my heart from my empty ute.

@laurad75 Still thinking of you this week.. I'm sorry that TB isn't a great resource for information about donor eggs. Hopefully you stumble across something helpful soon. As for that article...
@zwink1 Glad to hear your H is finishing up his testing now.
@beachbunnyxo123 Sorry for that surprise your BF sprung on you. It's hard news to hear, especially when you're not expecting it.
@shortstack930 I had H do my first trigger shot. The worst part of it was that I mentally psyched myself out for it. Besides that it was completely fine, and I do my shots on my own now. Personally, I think it's easier to do them myself now (and I think I'm better at doing it than H - ha!). GL with the Clomid.
@kristokekerooni Sorry for upcoming cycle 40. Your "How are things going response?" could have been written by me, I think. When would you be starting IVF if you have to go that route?
@lulu1180 I also have very light periods that mostly seem like heavy spotting, and I do have a thin lining. I am no help at all on this front, but just wanted to pipe in that I'm in the same boat and will be looking for things to thicken my lining this cycle as well.
@leekat14 I am sending a million hugs your way. I'm so sorry. When will you speak with the RE again?
Diagnosis (If you've been): NIR PCOS
Cycle/CD: 8 (month 16)/CD 1
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): WTO
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) TBD - I think femara + Gonal-F + IUI + progesterone + acupuncture
How are things going? I feel like a 12-year-old girl who doesn't know what a period is. My periods (when I get them at all) are usually very light, and I don't know what to consider the first day of my period, but I think it's today. I go in Thursday to make a plan for this cycle. There's a possibility this might by my last cycle before we take a 2-month break, plus IVF is looming closer now and I still haven't decided for sure if/when I'm going to do that, so I'm having a lot of feelings.
Any questions?
GTKY: Looking at personal growth. What were your hobbies/sports/interests in high school? What hobbies/sports/interests do you have now or want to have? I liked reading, writing, and listening to music in high school. I wasn't in any sports or clubs. I was essentially a hobby-less teenager. Now I like reading, podcasts, boating, wine, hiking, Zumba, and pilates.
Ugh I still can't love tit anyone and it's driving me up the wall! @heatherdubrow Yep I had my appt last Friday and the radiologist said to just do an ultrasound first and if something popped up to do the mammogram - lucky nothing popped up so I'm good! Just very, very dense tissue lol.
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) waiting for RPL testing results
How are things going? After the first part, vacation was really good. I got my prolactin restest results Monday and it was still above normal. So they said they were going to call in a prescription for Cabergoline. I called Costco that afternoon (after RE's office closed) and they said they hadn't received the prescription. So I called about seven pharmacies in the Disneyland area to find out where I should have them send the prescription in Anaheim and no one has Cabergoline in stock. Finally I picked one that said they could order it in a day. We got to Anaheim and I called them to be sure they had received the prescription and had placed the order. They had and I gave them my insurance info and everything was going so well. Until the tech called back and told me my copay would be $470 and asked if I still wanted to order it. As it turns out, the tech just screwed up and didn't run it against the insurance I had just given her. Actual copay $30. But when she called, that was just one of those moments where I was so over it all and so pissed that we can't just have some hot drunk sex and make a baby. Instead it's calling everyone and their dog to try to get some damn "C-a-b- no that's b as in bravo-e-r-g-o-l-i-n- no, n as in November-e. E as in echo. No? That's thats a ridiculous request and that drug doesn't exist? Cool. Yep, it's only for freaks." I just about lost it in the middle of everything. Bless the nice insurance lady who was nice even though I was...kinda crabby and got it all straightened out.
Once vacation really started, it was wonderful to take a few days and just ignore everything that's a stressor in my life and have my biggest concerns be managing my FastPasses and wondering what I was going to eat next. I had so many churros!
Any questions? Anyone have much knowledge on elevated prolactin?
GTKY: I played hockey and soccer, the violin, and was on newspaper. If I had it all to do over again, I would have taken shop instead of orchestra. I wish I could play hockey again but the nearest rink is 45-minutes away, it's an expensive sport, and I wasn't ever that good anyways. We kayak and hike and walk the dog a lot.

What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Just had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy this past Tuesday. I haven't talked to the doctor yet (she left before I woke up in recovery) but she did talk to H. My uterus is basically covered in scar tissue. She removed some for biopsies (I guess?) but she said it's beyond her expertise. I went into surgery expecting her to find endometriosis, but thankfully she didn't. Just the scarring. Oh and my uterus is tilted. And my left tube is blocked. There was talk of me needing a hysterectomy as some point in the future to alleviate symptoms. Post op is Thursday and I'm expecting to get a referral to the RE.
How are things going? Meh. They're going. I'm trying to stay off Google but.... I'm failing.
Any questions? Anyone who has had a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy... did it affect your cycle? I was CD2 so I'm wondering if it may delay O? Maybe I should start temping again.
GTKY: Looking at personal growth. What were your hobbies/sports/interests in high school? What hobbies/sports/interests do you have now or want to have?

And for the many of you pumped so full of IVF drugs you don't whether to laugh or cry, I am cheering you on. You are all such strong women!
@leekat14 I saw your post early this morning about heading in for the ER. So sorry to hear about the results. I hope you find comfort tonight from loved ones.
@lulu1180 I think you were one of the first ones that reached out to me when I joined the board with an elevated prolactin level. Mine is only slightly elevated, but my first RE was going to prescribe clomid, but had concerns about multiples, the second RE is skipping the clomid and just having us do trigger and progesterone. Both REs had me do progesterone to thicken my lining and it was between 11-13 mm a few days before O (they weren't concerned about it being thin, but thought it couldn't hurt to have nice thick lining). Hope you get more answers to your dx soon! I find you just have to keep asking questions with this IF stuff.
@kiki75 Glad to hear you enjoyed the rest of your vacay. You were in my hood and I have cabergoline laying around the house, totally would have spotted you a few. Oh wait we don't swap meds on this board? Good news is the only side effect I have had from it is on occasional short vertigo spell if I don't eat with it, and it has brought my prolactin levels back within normal range in 6 months (seems long but passed quickly).
@madspunk I got 5 min of meditation in today and thought of you! If we are IUI buddies this cycle, you are only days behind me. FX for your plan! Keep me updated! ------------------------------------------------
Diagnosis (If you've been): this cycle we are solving endometritis
Cycle/CD: 20/6
Status (WTO/TWW/TTA): TTA for 6.5 more days, then trying to catch O
What are you doing this cycle? (Testing? Treatment?) Antibiotics for 6.5 more days, then if we have perfect timing - follie check on Friday - Trigger - IUI- progesterone (I hate to say 1st IUI like I am planning on there being a reason to count more, yes I have the SS syndrome. I always think I am going to be SS, see where that has got me?)
How are things going? Honestly I can't complain. We are doing new treatments this cycle and throwing a lot at the wall (or uterus) to see if we can get something to stick. It gives me cautionary hope that maybe we will finally GTFKU. IF stress is starting to effect me and work stress is effecting my IF, I need them both to calm down.
Any questions? For those of you that have done IUI, have you gone with YH when he was doing his homework for the IUI? Or is it strictly a solo thing? Is it weird to ask?
GTKY: Looking at personal growth. What were your hobbies/sports/interests in high school? What hobbies/sports/interests do you have now or want to have?
I was kind of a boring introvert in high school, played violin and read a lot of books. Now I mainly hang with friends, eat good food, and travel (I miss my hot yoga class and scuba diving). I have thought about taking up the violin again as a hobby I can relax to while KU, but haven't made the investment yet.
@linzrunz I've thought about you a lot while you've been away, and while I'm happy to see you, I'm so sorry to see you here. Sending you big hugs as you navigate this terrible diagnosis.
@linzrunz Sorry you find yourself here. I think I remember your name from when I was a lurker before. Hopefully you get your DX soon.
@ramzlau FX for you this cycle! With all the new things you are doing, hopefully one of those things works. Go you getting in that meditation! You can do it! I wasn't able to meditate yesterday but I did get in a good 15 minutes of meditation on Sunday. I have felt a little less stressed over the past few days, which I think is a combination of meditation, being off progesterone, and trying to let work stuff go. Are you doing letrozole or clomid, or just the antibiotics?
@heatherdubrow thanks for the advice... definitely not worth the risk. Hope those migraines fade fast! @linzrunz I remember you! While I am sad to see you posting here, it is also nice to "see" you. I hope you get some answers soon. I am sure it is overwhelming to receive the diagnosis but I hope you can come up with a plan with your RE to work around it. @kiki75 Ugh I know that feeling all too well. I am glad you got it sorted out and were able to enjoy your vacation. That escape is certainly well deserved! @leekat14 Thinking of you today. I hope your phone call goes well as it could considering the circumstances. @madspunk I can totally relate to having all the feels. Just know we are here to talk it out with you if you need it. @eggplantface eeeep I can't believe it is right around the corner!
AFM: Long talk with my RE. Basically, what went wrong was I responded very quickly so instead of pushing it too long and losing the mature eggs they triggered me. My follicles were really large but not all the large follicles were mature. Go figure right? They did expect to see more mature eggs than I ended up with. Next time, if there is a next time, it would be a longer stim cycle with a lower dose to grow slow. I feel encouraged by the fact that there is something we could do differently if we had to. In the end, I am very, very grateful for our two. We decided to move ahead with an FET of one and see what happens. So now I am officially WFAF (prob on Monday) then bcp for three weeks, lupron, etrogen tabs etc. She said transfer would likely be the last week of June or first week of July. I feel satisfied with our plan after speaking with her. So add me to the FET club ladies!
@saralee797-2 Thank you for thinking of me. I'm so happy you guys are moving forward with the FET. My Dr. prefers FET because of higher success rates. Did you decide if you will transfer 1 or 2?
@saralee797-2 I am literally SO EXCITED for you!!!! It is great you have a plan for if there needs to be a next time and I cant believe this time next month you may be super close to a FET!
@leekat14 Just the one. My doctor is really adamant about it and I don't feel strongly either way. Btw, my doctor basically said that it often happens where they try one protocol and see how you respond, learn from it and switch it up the in future. So, I hope that they can come up with something that works for you today. I am really pulling for you.
@haylsbayls The 2nd u/s I had done in Feb, my
lining was 5.3 mm at 10DPO. I guess I’ll
try the RRLT next cycle and look into acupuncture in my area to see if it’s
reasonable. Thanks for the info!
@LadyMillil Congrats!
Can’t wait to hear the next update!
@heatherdubrow Sorry for the terrible headaches but yay for
a good suppression check! You have such
a busy few weeks ahead of you, I’m so excited for you!
@zwink1 I have heard that about the clomid as well so I’ll
have to remember to mention it to the RE if/when it comes to that.
@vflux33 I think it would be cool just to know someone who
was part of a study like that, but to be the first successful participant is
beyond cool! I can only hope I’m as
lucky as her…..this is my second full cycle on the bromocriptine so we shall
see. How old was your mom when she
conceived you both if you don’t mind my asking?
@Aurora1973 I hope the decreased count was just a fluke and
remember -1 is some of the best timing you can get! Good luck with the next 3 deposits for YH!
@madspunk If I find anything else out, I’ll let you
know! Like I said, I did find a study
that cited L-arginine worked but it was also said to reduce egg quality so I
would need to try and find more research on it.
In the meantime, I’m trying the old favorite or RRLT. And you sound like me sometimes. It took until around noon or so on CD1 for me
to realize it was CD1. Sometimes it’s
just so darn light that I have to make a game time decision and just call
it.
@antoto You are so lucky you didn’t have to do the
mammogram. I had one in December and it
was the most painful experience! And I
wonder if it made it worse that I have such dense tissue. Anywho….happy that you get to move on to the
next step!
@kiki75 I also have hyperprolactinemia (sounds so much
fancier than it is) with levels similar to yours but my RE put me on
bromocriptine although I have heard cabergoline used quite a bit in my
googling. When I was doing research
initially, I did find that elevated prolactin levels can cause decreased
estrogen levels and I also found something that said it can inhibit
implantation but I was never really able to find out how or why it does. I just had my prolactin retested (after 7ish
weeks) and the levels were in normal range.
If I can find the research again, I’ll share it. So happy you were able to enjoy your vacation
after that! Oh and for reference, here’s
the progression of my levels if you’re interested.
@linzrunz I’m so sorry to see you here friend! I hope that you’re able to get a plan in
place to help you get your BFP. And
remember…STEP AWAY FROM THE GOOGLE!
@ramzlau You’re so right that you have to keep asking questions. When/if it comes to further treatment, I’ll
definitely ask my RE why the clomid but I did get some great information from
the ladies on this thread. Fx for
perfect timing for the IUI!
@saralee797-2 I’m glad that you got some answers and a different
protocol if you need to do a second round!

@eggplantface Eeep! I’m so excited for your FET
I almost went
into publishing! I’m fascinated you do it as a hobby. What route do you take?
@KristoKekerooni Hugs for awful timing
FX the surgery did
the trick and you won’t even have to think about it
I do the same thing,
daydreaming conversations and announcements before falling asleep. It only
makes me feel worse, but you can’t help it sometimes. I think it’s awesome you’re
trying to be so proactive and prepared for whatever may be headed your way. I
hope it doesn’t drive you too crazy though! What kind of places do you
volunteer for?
@antoto We’re so frickin’ ready for this for you! Let’s get this started!
@heatherdubrow Estrogen to take away the migraines, plus Hawaii, plus moving, PLUS your FET! It’s all happening
Stay stoked!
@leekat14 So many hugs your way

50mg Clomid June 2017
BFP June, 21 2017 | EDD March 4, 2018

@LadyMillil that's WONDERFUL news!!! I'm so excited for you!

I hope there's another way forward or another protocol for you. I also hope your RE has an explanation for what happened and why. I remember your diagnosis being endometriosis -- could this be related to that? Is there something different they can do for you in the future?
@leekat14 That's horrible. I am so, so sorry.
@saralee797-2 and @LadyMillil Really hoping for you two.

She's my favorite, so that's cool
Diagnosis: DOR/AMA

**TW** June 2016 had CP **end TW**
August 2016 - dx with DOR
Somewhere in here received recommendation to do IVF with donor eggs, elected not to; OH dx with Low T

June 2017 - OH began treatment for Low T
July 2017 - began doing 1 IUI via a midwife and 1 at home insemination each cycle

July 2018 - exhausted frozen sperm, officially NTNP since OH is probably shooting blanks
As for that article...
@zwink1 Glad to hear your H is finishing up his testing now.
@adirat I hope you are off the bench soon. Hugs.
@antoto The wait to start is almost over - yay!
@eggplantface Do you write too?
@LadyMillil That's great news!
@leekat14 I am sending a million hugs your way. I'm so sorry. When will you speak with the RE again?

GTKY: Looking at personal growth. What were your hobbies/sports/interests in high school? What hobbies/sports/interests do you have now or want to have? I liked reading, writing, and listening to music in high school. I wasn't in any sports or clubs. I was essentially a hobby-less teenager. Now I like reading, podcasts, boating, wine, hiking, Zumba, and pilates.
The RE is calling tomorrow and I'll be making an appointment to find out the next step.

Cycle/CD: cycle 21, CD no idea cuz I'm benched
Any questions? Anyone who has had a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy... did it affect your cycle? I was CD2 so I'm wondering if it may delay O? Maybe I should start temping again.
GTKY: Looking at personal growth. What were your hobbies/sports/interests in high school? What hobbies/sports/interests do you have now or want to have?
In HS, I was in choir and on the swim team. I only sing in the shower/car now and I rarely swim anymore. I'd love to get back into both. Now I run (slow, but I do it) and... work a lot?

Cycle/CD: 20/6

@haylsbayls The 2nd u/s I had done in Feb, my lining was 5.3 mm at 10DPO. I guess I’ll try the RRLT next cycle and look into acupuncture in my area to see if it’s reasonable. Thanks for the info!
@LadyMillil Congrats! Can’t wait to hear the next update!
@heatherdubrow Sorry for the terrible headaches but yay for a good suppression check! You have such a busy few weeks ahead of you, I’m so excited for you!
@zwink1 I have heard that about the clomid as well so I’ll have to remember to mention it to the RE if/when it comes to that.
@vflux33 I think it would be cool just to know someone who was part of a study like that, but to be the first successful participant is beyond cool! I can only hope I’m as lucky as her…..this is my second full cycle on the bromocriptine so we shall see. How old was your mom when she conceived you both if you don’t mind my asking?
@Aurora1973 I hope the decreased count was just a fluke and remember -1 is some of the best timing you can get! Good luck with the next 3 deposits for YH!
@madspunk If I find anything else out, I’ll let you know! Like I said, I did find a study that cited L-arginine worked but it was also said to reduce egg quality so I would need to try and find more research on it. In the meantime, I’m trying the old favorite or RRLT. And you sound like me sometimes. It took until around noon or so on CD1 for me to realize it was CD1. Sometimes it’s just so darn light that I have to make a game time decision and just call it.
@antoto You are so lucky you didn’t have to do the mammogram. I had one in December and it was the most painful experience! And I wonder if it made it worse that I have such dense tissue. Anywho….happy that you get to move on to the next step!
@kiki75 I also have hyperprolactinemia (sounds so much fancier than it is) with levels similar to yours but my RE put me on bromocriptine although I have heard cabergoline used quite a bit in my googling. When I was doing research initially, I did find that elevated prolactin levels can cause decreased estrogen levels and I also found something that said it can inhibit implantation but I was never really able to find out how or why it does. I just had my prolactin retested (after 7ish weeks) and the levels were in normal range. If I can find the research again, I’ll share it. So happy you were able to enjoy your vacation after that! Oh and for reference, here’s the progression of my levels if you’re interested.
@linzrunz I’m so sorry to see you here friend! I hope that you’re able to get a plan in place to help you get your BFP. And remember…STEP AWAY FROM THE GOOGLE!
@ramzlau You’re so right that you have to keep asking questions. When/if it comes to further treatment, I’ll definitely ask my RE why the clomid but I did get some great information from the ladies on this thread. Fx for perfect timing for the IUI!
@saralee797-2 I’m glad that you got some answers and a different protocol if you need to do a second round!
