@ChocolateIsLife glad to hear it went well! I'm not so sure about mine. He put things on the test that we didn't touch too much on in class, and things I spent a long time reviewing weren't even on the test. I'm pretty sure I still passed the class but probably not my best test score.
Me, my sister (who is done having babies) and a high school friend have all shared a bag full of maternity clothes. We all just add to the pile each time. Friend text me this morning that she needs her clothes back because her sister just announced she is pregnant. So now I have the lovely task of trying to sort out who bought what because I will be keeping mine and my sisters stuff while also having to unexpectedly purchase new maternity clothes.
@mrs_fogue that's annoying. I have a bunch of traveling maternity clothes too, and it's been a pain this time around. My friend who had them most recently just had her baby like a week ago and wasn't ready to get rid of them, but I'm at the point where I needed them, so we had to divvy them up. I feel selfish not sharing them, but some of the stuff I loved from my first pregnancy had been lost or is too worn at this point, which erks me a little too.
October 2017 June Siggy Challenge -- "You Had One Job!"
@beezeemarie I feel like by the time I had them last (5 pregnancy) some of them were getting warn. That's why I made a point to add a little more than normal to it and had bought some new items this time to add to the stash. Unfortunately she's not getting those. Thank goodness it's not for her to wear yet.
@mrs_fogue Sharing maternity clothes is an awesome idea, but sorry you're having to divvy it up.
What happened to our What My Pregnant Self is Eating Thread? Because I really feel the need to share this awesome Potato Shack meal: a chicken Parmesan potato and fried okra. *drool*
@jessirh That looks AMAZING! I love a good loaded potato and fried okra is one of my favorites! I've never heard of Potato Shack, but I feel like it needs to be in my life!
Also, I just got the call that DD got accepted into our local public PreK program for the fall! It was based on a screening process, so I was really nervous, only because she is pretty shy if she doesn't know you, plus she will be one of the younger ones. Thankfully, I guess she did well! She will start in September and it's half days. She is so excited and I'm excited that she will have a few ours out of the house everyday to interact with other kids and once the baby is here that will give me some one on one time with baby as well. But, seriously; it feels like I was just 18 weeks pregnant with her and now she is starting school. I can only imagine how fast time will pass with two. Time needs to slow down, but not until after my anatomy scan on Monday lol.
So I meant to add this to my appointment post , but I found out today I'm not immune to rubella and will need a vaccine after birth. Now I'm a little upset with my parents because they dropped the ball somewhere. But I'm also a little mad at science/testing because this was somehow never mentioned to me with my previous pregnancies. So here I am freaking out praying I don't get sick from now until then. Also found out I'm GBS positive. Which I had when I was pregnant with DD2 and got an antibiotic after she was born. Dr today mentioned they will test me again about 4 weeks before my due date because it can go away on its own apparently. Oh what fun (sarcasm)
@canonmom413 if you were GBS+, you should have had antibiotics while you were in labor. Baby can contract it when passing through the birth canal and it can cause problems. I wasn't positive with my first, but was with my last two. My office doesn't test until 30 something weeks, but I'm not holding out hope that it's gone away since it's been 6 years since DS was born and I had it then. Its super stressful since with both those babies, I didn't have enough time to get both doses of antibiotics by the time I was fully dilated. I literally had to hold DD2 in for an hour so I could get the rest of the last dose
@sjohns908 yes it was during labor, my mistake. They tested me at my 13 week appt when I got my pap etc. they said it's common to have it again if you've hadn't it once.
@canonmom413 gotcha. That's weird they would test that soon. I've had paps at early prenatal appointments but they wait for the GBS test until a few weeks before your due date. I've known a few people to have it once and then it's gone with their next. But I'm not holding out hope for myself lol
@canonmom413 they may not have! I was deemed "not immune" for rubella when I was pregnant with DS, even though my mom had my immunization record to prove it. They told me that it could be two things - that because of my age, I didn't get the recommended second dose (cause they didn't do that in the early 80s) and that messed with the test or I could be one of the few people for whom the titer test is invalid.
It happened again with this pregnancy but because they had my record plus the booster I got after DS, they consider me immune regardless of what the titers say.
@shan24. I was told I was not immune to Rubella when i had my bloodwork done for this pregnancy. Told me I would have to get a shot after I deliver. My mom has my records as well showing I got what I should have. Glad I'm not the only one!
@canonmom413. Yeah, I'm 32. I asked a friend who works in public health about it and he says it happens sometimes even if you have all the right shots. Bodies do weird things. There just better not be an outbreak of Rubella or else I am going to freak!
Dh got me this mountain dew slushie. I'm usually not big on caffeine, but right now, I feel no guilt over downing this myself. Maybe later when I have a raging headache I will. But for now... delicious
OH, when I was talking with the hairdresser today, I was telling her about my husbands job, and I referred to him as "dear husband". I paused afterwards. I'm pretty sure she just thinks that I'm a fancy pants.

Some of the women in my surrounding neighborhoods are starting a social club (Bunco mostly I think) and last night was the first meeting. I'd never met any of them but one. This older woman asked me when I was due and I looked at her and go, "What? Oh, this? I just like chocolate and tacos."
The loooooooook on her face was priceless.
Then I 'fessed up.

@natleilynn Chocolate and tacos! Lol sounds like my diet.
@sjohns908 For a while there I had to have cherry slushies everyday for a week straight! One time I told the guy it was my birthday, it really was, and he gave me one for free. How nice!
Also, I cannot wait until 5:00 PM I'm so glad its Friday!
@ariz17 I told my boss I was leaving at 2:30 today. I give my employees a "flex" day every other week - they can choose one day to leave at 2:30. I asked for a permanent schedule change (so I work better hours than they do) so I've never taken a flex day (I felt like it was fair - I get better hours but work a full 40 hour workweek. They get one day every other week to leave at 2:30 without having to make up their time but work crappier hours).
I told them all I was taking a flex day on Friday and they all cheered for me. It's nice when your employees cheer you for taking time for yourself. haha

@ariz17 we're a company that creates employee engagement programs for businesses. So we kind of have to have a good company culture. haha It has its ups and downs but I try to look out for my team. Like I said, as a company we have crappy hours so it also gives them a chance to run errands/doctors appointments/etc without having to take PTO.
Or just go home and take a nap, as my recent college graduate tends to do. haha

Look at all that organization nonsense I've got going on right now.

I'm surprised it got shut down. It was really tame. Unless someone got butthurt and asked for it to be shut down.
I'll give you one guess who
